Hi all; just popping in to thank you all for your kind words; they are much appreciated, and really do make a difference.

Ginnyknit - you are so right about making friends on the internet; they really can help when times are bad and it's lovely when we have good times to share, too.

Mrs Moneypenny - thank you so much for your kind and thoughtful offer. We have told Mum about audio books and she is convinced that they won't help, but my sister has ordered some from the library to at least get her to try them before she makes her mind up.

I hope none of you is having problems with the weather and that the weekend has started well for you.

kathy - I was so sad to hear the news of mum and bil - BIL is such a fighter Im only full of admiration for him - sending lots of thoughts and hugs your way xxx

Hubby is due to have is "nose job" on Monday - the air is already very stressful here - he has been given some pills to take tommorow night and they have promised that he is first down (they said this last time ........;)) so am on tenterhooks

Totally agree with statements made about my lovely virtual family - Ive cried and Ive laughed and smiled I feel like we go through so much together - couldnt wish for a better collection of friends xxx

Hello to one and all and lots of love tucked in. No snow here so hope it is not affecting you hardy Northerners ( well North of Devonshire Cream Tea Land) too much.

It was DD2'S Birthday today. 26 on the 26th! She skyped us from Fort Lauderdale early his morning so that made our day. She is off to Florida Keys for her birthday and I think that will help her with feeling so far away just now.

I have been working on my BIG blanket a lot today. So unlike me to tackle a big project. Progress report on my blog!

Been meaning to join this thread for a while, as I have been looking for a new charity project for the year.

I got my fingers burned last year with a charity blanket through our work knitting group - people churned out billions of single colour granny squares to no particular gauge, refused to do any of the sewing up, then complained that the finished pieces looked ugly!

This year I want to enjoy donating time and effort to charity (and only have to darn in my own ends).

So far I have a baby hat and matching booties, and half a cardigan. I'm a fairly slow crocheter!

F1 hope all goes well for the op on hubbys nose, I hate that when you get cancelled so fingers crossed. Lovely sentiments and so true, best bunch of people there are

woke up to lovely sunshine this morning and NO SNOW it rained heavily last night so it all washed away
