    Afternoon all,
busy day here OH is painting the doors in the living room...and I have been staying out of the way doing some cooking...pasta bakes for the freezer, but bowing to pressure from you-know-who...I have added chopped up streaky smokey bacon...

    HAPPY BIRTHDAY Elaine:bdaycake::bdaycake::bdaycake:
Hope its a good one and you are not at work :)

Kathy - I hope you are feeling better, I am thinking of you and your family x
mrs-m - hope things are warmer for you and your heating is all working now
chalky - I just thought while I was swishing and swiping the kitchen, (after the mess I made earlier) :o ...did you ever get the oil out of your kettle ?
shaz - gently does it, glad that you can do a bit though
    f1 - love your blog x

I have been doing a cowl for my pal Jo...I put lots of stitches on thinking she can pull it onto her head if she gets cold...big mistake yarn is too thick its wool Astrakan also not enough of it, it ended up looking like a round blanket :rotfl: sooo I will rip it all out and start again...maybe...;)

    Love to all

    afternoon all

well working on the theory of it cant make it any colder i defrosted the freezer this morning. blooming freezing here guy came but hadnt got the part needed so hell be back this evening im hoping the part works and we get heating back cant believe how much we take things like running hot water for granted. luckily weve got a plug in oil filled radiator i put that on the landing outside the boys rooms at night, and bathing is done with a kettle full in the sink. hopngi he means early enough in the evening for enough water to heat up for a nice bath later - ive really missed those.

pippa, ive got visions of your friend snuggled up in a wooly cocoon now youve described your over large cowl

Elaine happy birthday, hope you have a lovely day.

Shaz take your time and dont rush your recovery, but glad to hear things are going well

hugs to all stay afe and warm

spoke to mum earlier Lola, is now at the crusiing stage and can walk round the furniture but just dips down to crawl when she reaches a gap with nothing to hold on to.

Happy birthday ELaine xxxx hope you have a good day with some special spoiling and cuddles from "J"

    Love to everyone else xx

Had a hair cut this morning with dd1. .. She is still training but doing very well. So it is worth sitting still for so long! Then she whipped me upstairs and tidied up my eyebrows. Then sent me home with a new lipstick and foundation. So really lovely. Bless her..

It is still pouring here . So grey and miserable. I don't think it has stopped raining for weeks. Of course we should be back in Spain and Januaey is certainly not my favourite month in the Uk!!!

The family start arriving tomorrow for the preparations for the funeral next Tuesday. The OH's sister and her husband are on their way all the way from Aberdeen. What a journey.Their little Westie Archie is coming too.

Pippa .. Yes we did get the kettle oil free . Thank goodness. We used a de scaler sachet that is used to clean coffee machines.

Mrs M?. Hope that bath is running this evening.i am so happy little Lola is going to have a sibling.

I agree Kathy, I think you are on everyone's mind
    Lots of gentle thoughts xx

F1 ... I agree your blog is lovely xx

Jean are you back in the barn?

I am going to have a quiet evening and send the gentlest thoughts to all those with their hands overflowing x
Try and do a good deed every day.
  • haven't made it as far as the barn yet.... but I am working my way towards it .....
far too many family & friend distractions around me - I will not be denied access to the sweat shop tho'.... perhaps by the end of February I will make it back out there. I am twitching with ideas and really do need to go and get on with them.
I am off to investigate the approved food that F1 was on about on her blog - seems they DO SEND TO FRANCE............haha all my birthdays might have come at once girls.
Love to you all big cuddles to keep you warm - extra thin layers Mrs Moneypenny - I do hope the heating is fixed soon for you.
