Brrrrr, been very cold here today. The weathermen/women got it right. Temps have plummeted and we had snow showers off and on all day. Now have had several very heavy falls and have a good couple of inches lying. Hope it thaws a good bit and the gritters have been out before 10am tomorrow, as I have to go to work then.:p

Been having a couple of quiet days here, no day job and studiously ignoring all the little jobs here at home :D. I can be selectively `blind` when I put my mind to it.

Glad to see the poorlies are on the mend, stay warm and cosy indoors if you can. I recommend near the kettle,on the sofa and with woolly stuff to hand.
Big hugs to those who need them, to cope with whatever life is chucking at you.

Pippa, enjoy your winter sunshine break and please enjoy a nice salad or two on my behalf. I love salads, but only usually have them when out or at work, as it isn`t worth buying all the bits I like to have as I`m the only one who would eat it and so much would be wasted.
Think it will be lots of soup I`ll be having here if it stays cold.

Off to put my feet up with a milky drink and magazine, then off for an early night as I think it might be busy at work tomorrow.

Hi all, am feeling much better now. Sciatica seems to be fading away thank goodness. OH not too good and dreading next cancer check up in November, he is very tired and having lots of related symptoms, but keeping busy in between naps.

Aww Pippa your Dgs sounds sweet. Lovely that you get to see Mrs Twins and have a chat. love the sound of the cruise and of course salads will be the order of the day ;) I love seafood and wouldnt be able to resist it if I went.

Sounds like lots of busy knitters keeping out of the cold around here :) Cannot believe how near Christmas is.

    *creeps back in*

Thought it was about time I poked my head round the door again.
Have just spent a while whizzing through some of the last pages of the thread.
It's really lovely to "see" you all again, but oh my, some of you have very full hands at the moment. I won't do a listing as I'm almost as la-la as F1 (Hi Jaqui :)) and don't want to miss anyone out, but I am thinking of you all.
Am hoping to get a box collected for LH at some point this week but not counting on it - I seem to have minimal organisational skills at the moment. I have been lurking over there a little more than here but not really posting. May be posting more here if I can remember how to work it all!
