Not sure that linky is working but if you go onto Ebay and search for Logan's Torch you will find the story if you read through the description. It is amazing what the great British Public can do!
We had a surprise visit from William last night so the perfect start to our day this morning -- cuddles in bed!

Sorry Ive had one of my "bright ideas" as a lot of you lovely ladies do different things for different charities could we have a section somewhere where you put down your chosen needs for example
salome - Pregnancy Crisis Centre - items to sell at Monthly sales
I know ISOM likes cat blankets
chalky - squares / little gifts for charity shop
These are obviously examples - but I for one would not mind doing a few bits here and there to help etc - I know Mrs M supports lots (choirboys etc) and I think some of us have helped there - with c*******s coming Im sure there will be more fetes etc - I for one forget what different peope like
Anyway - tell me to "go away" if you think this is a bad idea :rotfl:;)Debt Diary: Im not going to be an Ostrich anymore -LBM - 16/1/12 /0 -

Just one more thing...
mrs-moneypenny I hope you have a LOVELY BIRTHDAY_party_
and no you are not being selfish x0 -
My bookmarks. We didn't get many people in at all yesterday. Weather was rubbish. Where it was held is a lovely place, but a bit off the track, and the board outside didn't really scream at anyone to come in lol. I think we did most of the buying amongst us all lol. Never mind. Sometime you just have to plug at these things.
Chalky, your key rings sound great :-) F1 we do sell cards. We had some on sell yesterday. We tend to 'theme' out sales. i.e last month was a plant sale. There are always cakes on on sale. This month was books, and cards. The next one is Jams, chutneys and 'winter warmers (socks, gloves, mitts, hats etc) The November one will be gifts :-)
I've been up for ages with soem snippets of sleep here and there. One of our girls went off to Poland today to an art fest thing being held there. She and her friend needed taking to Bristol Airport so we were up at 3.15am, ready to leave by 4am !!!! Hubby gone back to sleep and is still blissfully happy in noddy land. I caught another hour but once the rest of the family started moving about, that was it lol.
Have a blessed and prosperous day everyone. Hugs to all in need ((((hugs)))) Love you all.

Hi everyone
Mrs Moneypenny - lots of hugs to you and your dad. It's a very sad time, and cancer still strikes horror into the hearts of many people. Despite the advances that have been made, some people cannot be saved, and I think we're all touched by the disease in one way or another. In your dad's case, it probably makes him question his own mortality, too.
Salome - the bookmarks are gorgeous. What a shame you didn't get many people in, but there's always Christmas, and they will make lovely gifts for that time of year.
Chalky - I think a virtual party is a good idea!
F1 -thanks for your kind words about my mum and my BIL.
Well, we've had a rollercoaster few days with my mum. She's gone from being really upset and angry, especially with Jane, who has done so much for her, to being really happy. It's a very difficult time for everyone. Jane knows it's not mum talking, but she has been very upset, and I've felt so far away again. I was able to speak to mum on the phone and she thinks that she wasn't told about the move, that she was just whisked out of her house, and put in a home with no warning. That wasn't the case at all, but it must be awful if she really thinks that. The staff have been wonderful and have been really patient with her. Jane says she was a lot better yesterday, that she enjoyed talking to me on the phone, and that she knows she's been 'a bit grumpy', as she put it. The thing that really bothers her is that she can't go out on her own, but they let her see her visitors off at the door, and they trust her to close the door when they've gone, and that has made her feel as if she has some control back. I think that's the key with her; she's been in control of her life for so long now; she's had to be, and having to give that control up, even for her own safety, has really affected her. Jane says she is becoming more settled every day, so I know things will get better in time.
My grandson, Sam, continues to amaze us all, especially as he's only 12 years old, and just finishing his first year of 'big' school. I've just had this email from my DS1, and I've copied and pasted the relevant bit.
Sam was awarded the star pupil of his year (based on all round achievement) and was the also the most nominated as Gifted and Talented (8 subjects), and awarded star Geography student achieving 2 grades higher than has ever been achieved before. He is already at GCSE grade B in Maths.
I hope I'm not being too boastful, but I can't help it! We can only wonder what he wants to be when he's grown up, but he's very interested in ancient civilisations, so I keep thinking he might be the next Indiana Jones!
Anyway, back down to earth. I hope the weather is not too bad back in the UK. We are under the same jet stream that you are, but with slightly warmer temperatures, and less rain, so we are not complaining here. The flooding over there looks awful, so I hope that none of you are affected by it.
I'm sorry that I've just not done the update lately, but I will try and catch up with it tomorrow.

Hello all!
Half way through first sock of a pair - slowly but surely! Using that Regia yarn which is pre-dyed so it comes out looking a bit like Fairisle.
Moneypenny - hope you have a great party! Dissapointed that your wider family won't make the effort for your sake but hey - you can choose friends etc etc!
Mioliere - all must be so distressing for you and your sister but hopefully your Mum will find contentment if not absolute clarity soon.
I saw ISOM the other week - she is looking fab and seems to be about half the size that she was a couple of months ago! So proud of her for sticking with the programme so cheerfully.0 -
