morning all, just popping on to say hi, havent been on computer for a few days due a bad migraine, so havent had time to catch up on posts yet.
has anyone ordered the lucky dip wool from kemps?
i ordered some, as i was ordering some wool anyway:o i got 10 balls of sock wool, going to make some socks for lh, also got some wash and wear crepe that was going cheap, and some pink sirdar calico, and 2 lots of the lucky dip aran, one bag is grey, need ideas for that the other is a lovely red shade, should make a couple of nice kids jumpers, or one jumper with a matching hat and scarf.
    hugs all

I ordered 2 of the cheaper lucky bags, 4 ply and mixed ply I think, can't wait to see what comes but at £1 /£1.50 you only need 2 of the balls to be good quality and you are quids in.

I like the idea F1, I was thinking I could make some Christmas cards for Salome's sale. Its nice to help each other as everyone is so generous of spirit here xx

Hello one and all -- Hope you have some blue sky in your bit of the Uk.
I volunteered to help DD2 in her cafe today. My first time and it was hectic but I loved it.

It is 2 doors up from Hannah's the Charity Shop which has just opened so I took my bag of goodies in at the same time. They were really pleased and here are the piccies if you want a peep.

Hi ladies - if you would like to PM me needs for charity events, charities you support, christmas craft fayres etc I will "try" and construct a list - Im sure Mioliere or Roamin can help me out with where to put it once its done and where we can find it and update if need be

So if you would like to say what you need and for when (I think the deadline date is important as if you are like me and plod along and realise you have taken so long you have missed it!:rotfl:)
    For example:-

F1widow - knitted hats / shoebox items - OCC local church collection - October 1st
F1widow - small gift items - school fete - August
chalky -handmade gifts - Hannah's charity shop - ongoing

How does that sound ladies - if it sounds ok to you ladies Im quite happy to construct the list (hope Im not taking over Kathy/roamin only I know you are overflowing at the moment and Edna might still be staying!)

Chalky I am having trouble with the hedgehog noses, they are not perfect and are spoiling the look, how do you do them?

I have knitted some dummys today, about 2-3 inches long and quite cute, thought Mums might buy them to hang on babies prams.

Things very tense here as OH is very nervous about tomorrow, I think it may be a very long night again. and breathe Ginny....

shaz, hope your migraine clears, sounds like your stash is building well. ive been really good at the carboot and not bought any wool, i think hd is getting worried about me as he now keeps saying but the weather is awful you dont know how many boots there will be this season and if its a long winter you might run out of wool.( hes obviously not been in the attic for a while:rotfl:)
kathy how is your mum settling now?
isom you are doing brilliantly well done

hugs to all and i hope everyone has a good day
