Mrs Mp your hubby sounds a real prince, offering to let you buy more wool - sensible man.
As for hospital, wont bore you all to death but after an hour and a halfs wait, part of it with OH dressed in a fetching bum free gown we found out there was no consultant anywhere to do the procedure and the nurse said he probably wouldnt be able to do it as they couldnt get the camera in the bladder last month due to blockage so they wouldnt be able to get the catheter in either. She lold me to ring for an emergency appointment with his urologist or ring 999 and say he is at crisis point he can barely pee -we wil have to steel ourselves to do that one so making the phone call first. The nurse tried everything to get someone but to no avail.
So we are lunching on fish finger butties then I will get some crochet done till I calm down. Thank you all for your kind thoughts and encouragmenet it means a lot xxxClearing the junk to travel light
Saving every single penny.

Yoo Hoo its me :hello:
Back from our travels...we had the best time...meeting up and staying with rellies...the weather was a bit iffy at times and decidedly soggy at others but now and again the sun smiled on us
It was lovely to catch up with everyone. We went in to Weymouth on Tuesday for OH's Aunt Mary's 90th birthday, she now lives in a nursing home as she can't look after herself (her daughter,OH's cousin had cancer last year at the same time as OH) no-one has told Aunt Mary as she is getting very confused and forgetful and it was thought best not to say anything. She has settled down very well and has no worries and I do think that helps, and she still has that wicked twinkle in her eye at times
Went back to Portland for the night and saw all the preparations for the Olympics, the new sailing club and the Olympic village it all looks very impressive, don't envy the locals when it all starts up though
On Wednesday we went over to the caravan in Devon as we had to get a couple of things sorted out, the site was almost deserted, because of the rain I expect, but we got done all we wanted to and came home Saturday.
Ginnyknit - we had something similar happen when OH was having his treatment as well sooo annoying when you have sat there for ages waiting and worrying, I would definitely consider going down the emergency route x
chalky - next time we are down in Devon maybe we can meet upthis time was a rush job never managed to get to OH's cousin in Milber either. Gorgeous blanket I like the edging, and the things you have done for Hannah's are lovely.
kathy - What a star young Sam is well done I say :T I hope your Mum is a bit more settled now
mrs-m - How lovely to see them all together a complete little family
ISOM -Well done you are doing brilliantly, I hope your innardsare sorted soon
:wave:PTB nice to see you
I am working on another bag of squares for MrsTwins and hope to have it finished when I see her on Friday.
When we were in Devon I bought 3 scarf kits all in eyelash wool for 99p each including 3 balls of yarn and needles sooo maybe I will save some bits for hedgies...watch this space
(((hugs))) for all MIA's hope you are all well
Love to all
Anne

My goodness what a ramble...dont go falling asleep reading this :rotfl:0 -
Ginnyknit Popped in to check on how things went - so angry and upset on your behalf. I should definitely follow the nurse's advice, she is probably as frustrated with the way things are as you are, and after all you've done everything you were asked to without any result.
Mioliere hope that your Mum is feeling more settled and happy now
Chalkylove the blanket - great colours
Socky glad your headache is better - and what a wonderful lot of knitting you've been doing!
Love and (((hugs))) to all0 -

ginnyknit, how frustrating and annoying for you and your dh, i'd be temped to go down the emergency route.
anne, welcome back, glad you had a great time, with your family
went to doctors yesterday, as i have had pins and needles in my right hand for over a week, and sometimes pains up my arm too. walking with my stick, driving and knitting, all seeem to make it worse, and are all things i dont want to give up, (would give up the walking stick, if i could, but dont want to give up on the walking, and cant manage far without it. anyway doctor thinks it carpal tunnel syndrome, and has advised me to wear a wrist splint especially in bed on a night, and has refered me to hospital to have some nerve tests done. if it is carpal tunnel syndrome, then i'll have to have a small op on my wrist to release the trapped nerve.
anyways, still knitting , but having more rest breaks, hope everyone has a good day
love and hugs all
