    Hello all
I have had a lovely day I spent part of it with MrsTwins, we went to a sheltered housing residence not far from where I live to distribute some SIBOL blankets, the ladies and one man were surprised when they saw them, they were gorgeous they always are when Sue has worked her magic on them with the ribbon, butterflys, a card explaining about SIBOL, the name of the blanket, the person's name who donated it or put it together. We also took a basket of butterfly's so they could all choose one (or 2). The last blanket we took upstairs to a lady named Phoebe who has Dialysis 3 times a week she couldn't believe it was being given to her "for me" she said and was quite tearful, we were a bit choked I must say.

Then this afternoon we had our DGS for a few hours until his daddy came for him...O its been lovely tiring but fun...

jean - great to see you posting again, and edna being kicked into touch ;) thanks jean have one back (hug)
chalky - how are the crochet lessons going at DD's. I bet you are enjoying your lovely mended house :)
kathy - thanks for the link, that wedding dress is amazing what a clever lady, just shows what can be done and how much can be saved, weddings these days are massively expensive but I wonder sometimes if people go over the top. I am so pleased your Mum is settling and is happier now, it must be a load off your mind.
mrs-m - so pleased you had a wonderful birthday, and a happy anniversary for tomorrow x
shaz - glad you are feeling better now
psso - hello  glad you are back, yes CH on and TD going in July unheard of, have a couple of these (((hugs)))

last night I did 5 hedgies for DGD's Christmas Gift Fayre at school...thought I'd better make a start...and tonight I am making a few more, then I'll do some for you chalky :) I 'found' lots of furry/fluffy/eyelash yarn so I thought what better use...

    Love to all xx

    happy anniversary mrs mp,
anne, how lovely to have personally distribute the blankets to the individuals who were to receive them.
i live in sheltered housing, and am considered the baby, as at 41 i am the youngest here, by a couple of decades. we have some residents in their 90's, also some very ill, and frail, i feel i ought to make some for them. must learn to crochet some pretty flowers or something, or get my friend who can crochet, or my knitting group to have a go.
dont know if i mentioned it, but one of my sons, josh, has got a job at sports direct
    love to all

    Hi everyone!
Thank you Pippa for writing on MSE.
We had a lovely morning out yesterday and afterwards Pippa invited me into her home to have a cup of tea and look at her wonderful crocheting, what a treat!
If you would like to have a look at our photos please visit
    'SIBOL'.
The Residents at the homes loved our blankets and it's nice to know that what we are doing is worthwhile.
I would like to thank everyone on here that supports SIBOL very much indeed.

Love and best wishes 'Mrs Twins!'.x

Great to hear that blankets are doing so well and making such a difference Mrs Twins! Lovely too that Pippa was able to come with you to hand some out! Keep up the good work!
All been quite relaxed here for a change; not much actually achieved as spent much of weekend with friends or shopping so tomorrow will be a blissful home day! Also sorted out eyes which have been straining much lately...turns out I was right and am waiting for contacts to arrive..also got a nike+ as applied to do a 5k run on Dec 9th which will be for British heart foundation...let me know if you would like to sponsor me :) Im doing it more for the challenge than to raise money but every penny counts, esp when people are struggling for cash!
ginny and pippa how are oh's doing?
Roaming and Psso (plus anyone else) hope edna bogs off soon and you are able to find life less of a struggle...she really is a pain isnt she!
Socky and seakay hope you are well.
    F1 how you doing?
Miol know youve been busy with online work but hope you get some time for you too in amongst the typing!
Right am off to do a charity square...have now got the book so going to try some new ones! Have also got some eyelash so mum can make up some hegies when she returns from her exploits!
Chalky hope youre enjoying the william time!
Hugs for those that need them.

    Afternoon all,
it's very quiet on here lately, hope you are all doing happy stuff and not poorly or entertaining edna!!!

Well I can hardly believe it the sun is shining here and it's sooo hot  washings out and all the windows and doors are open to the fresh air hmmm nice

ISOM-shaz-chalky - Yes ladies I was so lucky to be invited to help out MrsTwins with a bit of support,I really enjoyed it and MrsTwins was huge success
ginnyknit - your little owl sounds lovely, any chance of a photo? I love owls and used to collect them years ago but got a bit tired of all the dusting ;) How is your OH now I do hope he has 'easier' day's sometimes.
kathy - hope all is well in your neck of the woods, and the house sells quickly so you can soon get back to blighty and your family
chalky - I have a few hedgies ready for you, we are coming down to the caravan sometime in the next few weeks, if you are around perhaps we could meet up :)
shaz - well done Josh on the new job :T it must be less of a worry for you as well. If you would like some flowers let me know and I will do some for you.

OH is feeling so much better now and it's good to see him more like his old self, so much so that he decided to make a start on the kitchen last week so now we have no wallpaper and just half the tiles left on the walls...he's doing a bit of filling at the moment, he did the plastering over the weekend wasn't too much though, I worry he is doing too much but once he gets the bit between his teeth nothing stops him...except :coffee:
so I will go make him one.
