Just wanted to say Hi, love this board, I am a newish knitter only started when ds was a year as i wanted to knit a soaker when we were using cloth.
I am amazed how fast you all knit, i am so slow, can only commit to small projects, am doing a cardi for dd, she is 8 but am knitting size 10 as she should fit into it by the time I finish! I love the fish hats and am going to try to knit 2 for ds and dd they are very specific on colourways! And have them done by winter.
Chalky have just been reading your blog and am inspired to try my hand at crocheting a flower, your knits are beautiful.

    Afternoon all

Not a bad day, sun keeps poking its head out and its dry, I've been chopping a few heads off and yanking a few weeds out in the garden, just tidying up really...surprising the difference an hour out there makes...

OH has just come back from the hearing centre at Selly Oak Hospital to have his other hearing aid fitted... but...they said he has an ear infection so has to go see his own Doctor tomorrow ...then wait for around 6weeks for a new appointment to come through

Had a great time with DGS last week and he is coming for another sleepover this Wednesday night ,he is off school on Thursday, to do with teachers something or other !!!
I just love having him here, he wears me out and I am not too keen on being woken up at 5:30am :p but I still love a house full of fun :D

SIRENS - hello and welcome to you:wave: we all started slowly but the more you do the faster you get its just practice really, we love it when new friends join us :)
chalky - love the bag my fav colours Blue's are, just something about it always reminds me of holidays

Hi everyone. I've been MIA again, this time due to a rotten bug I picked up which has stopped me eating for the last three days. I've just been living on yoghurt because it was all I felt like. DH said I had a really high temperature on Sunday night but I can't remember any of that; we also had a massive thunderstorm so it was a bit of a long night for him! Anyway, I am feeling a lot better today and hope to be able to face some proper food for a change.

I hope you are all keeping well. I've not really read the thread for the last few days, but I can see we have another newbie, so welcome to you, Sirens, I hope you enjoy it here.

Mrs Moneypenny - I hope Lily is doing well. I bet you were thrilled to get a photo.

Pippa - I hope OH's ear infection clears up soon.

F1 - don't feel bad about mentioning the C*******s word; I've been thinking along those lines, too. Actually, it's never far from my mind!

Shaz - have a great time in Bridlington.

Well, I'll try and catch up with you all later. I have a bit of tidying up to do. DH stayed home yesterday because I was still feeling unwell, but I've insisted he went back to work today because I am definitely feeling better. I don't think I'l be moving very fast, but I hope to get a few things done!

Have a good day, all of you.

F1 am serious I have boxes and boxes of finished things and will either have to move into the shed or do a fair :D I have made 7 pairs of wristwarmers in a week :o

Mrs MP glad you have a picture of Lily to look at, having a baby in SCBU is very surreal for everyone, you have to keep reminding yourself. Hope she goes from strength to strength now, I have been there and feel for her mummy and daddy.

Sounds like you had a much deserved treat Socky! Take it easy today !

Hi Sirens, good to have you on board, they really take you to their hearts on this thread, such lovely people.

Off to Mums in a bit - yay I get out of the house again :j Visited a good friend yesterday, dont see her enough. Such a lovely lady who has had a tough time the last few years, nursed her hubby through cancer and lost him, then had to move her Mum in for the last year of her life and along the way her elderly pets all passed away. She is lonely but was given a puppy who needed rescuing so has something to keep her going now. Her health is suffering though and I told her it was a reaction to all the stress of the last 3 years and she needs to be good to herself now.

    Hugs to all Ginny x

    Hello all

kathy - oh you poor thing so sorry to hear you have been so poorly glad to hear you feel a bit better today - nights are awful when you are bad - hope you have had a rest today xx well done mr mioliere for being a good "Dr" xx

ginnyknit - wow 78 pairs in a week!!! well done you - whats your secret? are they super easy ones? you are a clever lady! hope you have had a nice time out - hope OH is getting on well - dont forget your own advice though - do take care of yourself xx

socky - glad you had a good day - hope taking it easy today has rested the legs - I sometimes find myself in the bath twice a day to ease my limbs xx

Well this "domestic goddess" problem I have at the moment really is not good! - sunday made cakes - disaster! yesterday I got all the ingredients ready for quiche - only to find that the flan case I had in the cupboard was a sweet one (sorry not very MSE but it was only 52p and I thought that was cheaper than making one!) - was not going to waste anything so went ahead and still made it - did not mention to OH or DS but did ask OH later did he like it - he said yes but had spotted the mistake and "had I realised!" ;) and then this morning I had all my ironing done by 9.00am :eek: what am I turning into ...................
Better go and get the mince out for cottage pie tonight .....
Love and hugs and lots of gentle thoughts to all xx
