Whoops ..should have checked my post first before clicking ...7 pairs in a week. But they are very easy just 46 stitches, number 11 's needles, 10 rows 2x2 rib, 24 rows of any holey pattern you like ( stst 2 rows then k1 ywd k2tog, p1 row repeat) then 6 rows of rib. all done in scraps of 4 ply and Bobs your auntie :j You can do the rib in different colours to the holey bit or stripes anything you fancy. sew up leaving a thumb hole.

Im really grumpy !!! - Im due a food shop delivery this morning but my wonderful bank has got a system problem so no money has been transferred so they cant take a payment so shopping has been cancelled - the bank's answer "well use your credit card" err I dont have one "well just go to the store and do your shopping" errr I dont go out ............................ and then they said well surely they will still deliver the food for you - ha ha shops now giving free food!!!!

oh well Im sure I will get over it ......:D

chalky - safe journey and looking forward to catching up soon - take care xxx

ginnyknit :rotfl::rotfl::rotfl: 7 is still very good - I thought oh my she must be up morning noon and night knitting - perhaps she has the whole family knitting handwarmers!:D:D - anyway you made me laugh - I really dont do 4ply but I do have 2-3 balls that need using up so I may have a go - are they for children or adults?? xx

Im always looking for something new to knit

anyway Im "butterflying" at the moment so last night I started some Innocent Smoothie hats as I didnt really do any last year - and am loving them (well at the moment anyway but that could change!) I feel like being a rebel today and not doing any housework - I have loads recorded to watch - inc a few Poirots, a Rosmary and Thyme to finish - Eastenders from last night so I may just sit and knit - its raining by the way ................ what a surprise

kathy - I hope you are feeling better today - always think about you and worry that you do so much and your life is stressful so being poorly is all you need - big hugs xxx

roamin, psso, pippa, prfungi, maytaurus(we miss you!), seakay, mint, sirens, sock-knitter, ptb, mrs m, (oh no memory block Im sorry if Ive missed anyone) thats it - little grey cells gone pop! - sending lots of warm thoughts and hugs your way

Just to say I am still doing my charity knitting, that I restarted a few weeks back, but won't be posting totals on here. Too much going on in real life and just don't have time/remember to do it!
    Hope everyone is well.

    Hi everyone

I'm back in the land of the living, having finally got rid of that horrid bug, and I'm eating again, which is just as well because I lost three quarters of a stone in about three days.

I hope you are all keeping well.

I hope Chalky's trip back is going well.

Mrs Moneypenny - I think about Lily every day. I hope she's doing well.

F1 - thank you for your concern; I'm a tough old bird, really, and usually bounce back. I'm lucky that I enjoy good health normally, so I don't make a very patient patient. Whenever I'm ill, it makes me wonder how those who are in bad health all the time cope with it. I take my hat off to them. Bad luck about the shopping, and the bank's attitude was out of order, wasn't it? Hope you get it sorted soon.

Ginnyknit - well done on all those wristwarmers! I think I might have a go at some. I like the 'running on optimism' in your sig, by the way! Hope OH is doing as well as can be.

Pippa - hope your OH is well, too.

Jean - hope all is well with you.

Well, luckily (or not, I suppose), I don't have any work on at the moment so I've decided to tackle the dreaded oven, the cleaning of which is long overdue! Why is it such a horrid job, and why don't I stick to my resolution to do it every week - well, because it's such a horrid job!

Anyway, I've just realised that I haven't done the update for a couple of weeks, so I will try and get that done today or tomorrow.

    Have good days, everyone.

went to see dad on fathers day and he seemed fine was his usual self, a bit forgetful but honestly didnt seem any worse than last time i saw him 3months ago. Nothing was mentioned about the episode the other week and i didnt want to bring it up and embarrass him so ill just make sure i pop in more often.

so many of other have people to worry over dont we.

i think group hug is called for.

mrs m - OH's Gran nearly 92 and does fantastically really has really gone bad in the memory dept and made me laugh so much the other day on the phone - she suddently said she was not sure whether she gave birth to my husband (her grandson) or my FIL (her own son) - when I explained who her son was she laughed and said "oh you do have a nutty Mother in law dont you" - bless her she still didnt get it

We do worry about her - at least at the moment it is intermitent - but is becoming more and more frequent - the best thing is to go along with it and be gentle with her - dont make a big thing of any thing she does and definately dont argue with her (its just a shame some other members of the family cant seem to do this:mad: but thats another story!)

    so yes group hug :grouphug::grouphug:xx
