Hi everyone
Its been a beautiful day here today the sun has shone almost all day
Thank you ladies for asking OH is doing ok his ear infection isn't causing too many problems and the drops do seem to help, he will have to wait 6-8weeks for his hearing aid, trouble is the one he has in his other ear has gone loose, they said it sometimes happens after radiotherapy, so they are making him another one. He still sleeps a lot sometimes every few days he just flakes out for a few hours...it's normal they said !!!
Kathy - I am so pleased things are looking better for your Mum it must be such a relief for you... and to know that she has been involved and has the opportunity to choose one herself. chalky is lovely is'nt she, we are hoping to catch up with them when we are next down in Devon
mrs-moneypenny - missed the group hug but here's one from me for you and your family (((HUG))) and xx for Lily
Hi Orkneystar - I'm on Ravelry as well, on the SIBOL threads mainly, I love the free patterns there are so many of them my 'want-to-do' list is getting longer by the day
f1widow - banks :mad::mad: and they are getting worse
Ginnyknit - I hope your OH is feeling a little easier and taking plenty of cat-naps x
OH had a call last night from his club, the manageress there asked if I could do a pretty pink baby hat for her niece, she was born 8 weeks early over the weekend and weighed in at 3 lbs a real prem baby.So what could I do but get out the pink yarn and make a start, well I started on an Angel Clair bodywarmer first then I will do a hat:)
Better go get dinner organised

Hello all!
Sorry I've become so intermittent in my joining in but I find it easier to give all my attention occasionally then a very little all the time as the general brain fog gets worse!
Did make it to my aunt's surprise 80th lunch on Saturday and although I didn't stay for the evening festivities I haven't quite recovered from all the excitment and socialising yet. Really enjoyed it though and she absolutely loved it and was truly surprised at all the various friends and relatives who had gathered for the event.
So glad that your family and you have found a suilable place for your Mum to live mioliere and that she has been able to be involved in the decision making - it makes such a difference.
A lovely sunny day here today so I'm going to venture out for a walk now - something that i'm supposed to do every day but the bad weather puts me off very easily!
I actually finished a pair of socks that I started ages ago and which I'd never completed for some reason. Turning the heel was a lot less scary than I expected so I may have another go to alternate with charity squares and blankets.0 -
Hi Pippa - thanks for your kind words about my mum. The update page can only be found by clicking into Jean's name at the side of her post, and going to her 'homepage'. It doesn't work on my b**g at the moment.
Seakay - glad you had a good time at the lunch.

Hello to one and all -- the Sunshine Bus has landed! We came home a bit early after our lovely visit with Kathy and her DOH ( They really are the perfect hosts!!!) Such fun and a lot to catch up on.
The weather worsened, the wool was running out and DD2 was sad because her new and sparkling relationship had tarnished!! So we got an earlier ferry and have arrived home.
Because we left so soon after the building works -- we can't remember where anything is -- the dust is a mile thick --- and it has rained all day. But hey ho, all will be well and it is always lovely to lay your head down in your own bed. But you get woken up very early when you don't have any curtains!!!
So you lovely lot. The latest Lappy is already packed and ready to be sent to Kathy's Mum.
I have not as yet had time to read through the thread so will send a very big hug to one and all and will catch up properly very soonTry and do a good deed every day.0 -
chalky - oh romance that really is the only part of being younger i really dont miss! when i was on my own they all said you will find someone and I didnt believe them but along came my wonderful hubby and it was a blind date! wool running out .............. did you get the shakes and feel hot and sweaty hee hee - I wish we were nearer we could have come and helped you get sorted as you are always so kind to everyone it would be nice to do something in return - hope you get sorted soon xx lovely idea to get the blanket to kathy's mum by the way xx
roamin - need any help or a chat as you said Edna was visiting - anything i can do to help? you have been dashing around loads what with the relatives coming and then you setting off on your bus for a trip around scotty land - sit back and have a cuppa and a break lovey - big hugs xxx
sock-knitter - good old mum and her bank account - I think (fingers crossed!) we are now sorted but Im holding my breath as we are expecting our main money in this week - glad you had a good time though xx
seakay - no need to apologise we totally understand - but we do miss you you know - sympathise with you over the daily walks - am supposed to start doing the same thing this week and a) the thought of it just fills me with dread and b) if its not sunny I just want to stay in - it does not tempt you out at all - does the sun make you feel better - am so pleased with my lovely garden - my knitting was even out there for a short while at the weekend - lovely to hear from you - take good care and sending you a big hug from me xxx good to hear you made the party though xx
pippa - sorry to hear that OH still suffers - its such a shame he really has been through so much - but am interested (sorry that sounds like the wrong word but I hope you know what I mean) to hear this as my FIL is still very tired his radiotherepy ended late last year - MIL is always moaning about him being in bed - sadly he had a breakdown after his treatment so so many times they put everything down to this but I do like to take an open mind that not every symptom is a mental problem - when did OHs radiotherpy finish if you dont mind me asking? - big hugs as always xx
well just popped into catch up - am off to have a nice cuppa and a sit down (like I dont do that often ha ha)Debt Diary: Im not going to be an Ostrich anymore -LBM - 16/1/12 /0
