Ohh -- I love Freecycles and got some lovely wool and materials a while back so good luck with that Sharon. So pleased to hear the news of your friend! x
Kathy-- I hope your Mum's care package is soon sorted out. I am sorry your house is not selling. I think the Eurozone is not very special at the moment. You would not know of the difficulties here in Spain on a day-to-day basis but the housing market is dire! Luckily we are so happy sharing our time here that it does not affect us.
Mrs Twins-- What a wonderful post on SIBOL
Pippa - Lots of love to you both x
Mrs Moneypenny-- You and your family are very much in my thoughts.
As are you Ginnyknit! I hope things are more comfortable with your DOH at the moment.

Mrs Twins the SIBOl page looks fab, so many pretty things all in one place.
Hoping to escape for a few hours tomorrow after I have taken DGS home at lunchtime. DD still needs me to mind him when she works at weekends but realises its difficult with her Daddy being poorly. Still when Michael goes home Oh is tired but very happy as he and the boy are best buddys. I will get as far as the local CS which sells new wool and the market which doesn't
Hope you are all safe and warm hugs Ginny xxClearing the junk to travel light

ginnyknit - good to hear you had a nice time with GS - hope you got yourself some nice wool - you deserve it xx
Well what an eventful few days - hubby was due to have his pollups removed from his nose Thursday - only to get there find out there was a three hour delay and then when he did see the anthetist he was not happy with my hubbys ticker so now he has a monitor and lots of tests coming up - obviously it may be something and nothing but am still really worried - I had to beg him to still take yesterday off and spoke to his boss on Thursday to which he said it was still fine - but hubby being hubby said that as he had not had his operation he really ought be at work and not resting at home and so was still on call as of last night and low and behold he got called so was up half the night working  - obviously my worry has come out as being snappy I dont mean to be but am always worried about him ......
So have been busy doing some more little jobs that were not done when we moved in - like moving all the clothes into the right wardrobes - hubby has fixed a blind that was broken - washing - tidying etc - DS is going for a sleep over tonight - bless him things are starting to happen to him so in this house we have:-
a) menopausal blubbing wreck who puts margarine in the washing machine!
b) hubby with dicky ticker
c) puberty stricken 11 year old with moods that switch quicker than a light switch with a voice that goes up and down like a flag on a pole:rotfl::D:rotfl::D - at least we are all suffering at the same time !!!!
Want to cut my grass but the weather is lousy so will try either later or tomorrow
Lots of love and hugs as always - take care all - hope you all have a lovely weekend - despite the weather xxx
ps: psso have not seen you for a couple of days are you ok? xx - pippa - hope you and family are well xxxDebt Diary: Im not going to be an Ostrich anymore -LBM - 16/1/12 /0 -
f1, hope test on hubby come back ok, big hugs xxx
am feeling fed up, just done a 24 mile round trip to pick up some wool that was promised from freecycle, and there was nobody in, despite them saying a time that was convenient
as i am struggling financially, on the same amount as JSA, i could have done with not wasting money on fuel. in fact to be honest, i think i'm gonna not just cut down on wool purchases, but stop them altogether, at least for now, til i get mysen sorted
hugs all

F1 hope Hubby is ok, thats all he needs! Good job they found it out though cos now he can get it sorted before he gets poorly. As for the menopause I seem to have got to the end of mine :j:j:j No period for a few months , thank goodness, no migraines and my nails, which have always been pretty good, are now fab. So there is ight at the end of the tunnel hunny.
Shaz why dont you set yourself a challenge to use up a set amount of wool before you can treat yourself to more. I know it is very hard resisting buying as it our treat but you have been through so much you still need something to look forward to xx
Hubby snoozing so I am pottering before I settle down to knit more wristwarmers (my new addiction) Couldnt find a pattern I liked for 4 ply - using up the stash - so made one up. I really could hold a craft fair completely made up of my stuff, have given lots away but am still producing tons :rotfl:Clearing the junk to travel light

shaz - I do feel for you - i know exactly what its like - have not had any goodies for months - no card making or wool - and when I get down all i want to do is spend!!!! as for the trip to get the wool that is double :mad: - I realised though that when I packed up my wool I had forgotton that I had some of it so that was nice to be reminded - but there is nothing like some new stuff - there has been some wool on Kemps called "Jellybean"(?) someone on LH mentioned it - and I have been tempted on a few occasions but managed to step away from the computer !
I have a butterfly mind also - am having a small moment of this at the moment - seem to have an addiction to very small hats for LH but the last few days/nights have been thinking hmmm what can I knit I fancy trying something new small and quick though! nothing like being awkward - have been using up some chunky or double DK on scarves for the children (again another LH challenge item) - cast on about 14-20 st on I think 6.5mm and just knit until you think long enough (am being hopeless as my measurements are all down stairs!) or if you have some pale DK LH wanted some blankets again nothing difficult - corner to corner blankets just knit stitch 15" and above
What I also try doing is one different item each time - ie today a hat - tomorrow a couple of squares and so on
Give the new bear a squeeze from me xx
How about making some gifts ready for dare I say "c*******s" - some flower brooches, scarves, gloves etc using up some of the stash - although I know you love your socks
Anyway take care and keep smiling - we are here if you need us xx
ginnyknit - thanks for your good wishes - im sure my hubby will be fine - what a nice idea for you to do a craft fair (im thinking you were only joking though!) - hope hubby is taking care xxDebt Diary: Im not going to be an Ostrich anymore -LBM - 16/1/12 /0
