Yes, Chalky - I echo what F1widow has said; thank you so much for the idea and all the work and skill you have put into sewing all the squares together. You've done a fantastic job. Lou will be delighted as will all the lucky people who receive them.

Glad you had a good Motown time!

Loved the video of the knitted heating as well as the making of the film - ye I am sad and needed to see it all in action.
CHALKY great call on the chalky lapacuddleygans (even if I didn't evan manage to send you one single square - mine were all too little in the end- so went straight to Lou!
CHALKY do you ever sleep? Judging from you weeks totals you have been on a night shift! F1 my but you have been busy too! I have managed NOWT as in nothing, still feeling a bit eurgh perhaps next week for me then.
Mioliere - glad to hear that the electricals are being sorted - even if it does mean you are knocked off the web for a wee while its got to be safer that way eh?
Love and cuddles to everybody, missing in actions and newbies too

Jean - hope you feel better soon. Do you think it's still the shingles? You must take it easy but I know what you're like! Yes, the electrical arrangements here are a little strange, to say the least, but at least they are becoming safer! I don't think Chalky ever sleeps, either!

Talking of sweeties, I've been hankering for a Bounty for weeks now! DH is wondering if they still make Caramac, so we'll have to see if we can find some of that, too! Think I'll pick up a supply when we're back in the UK.

I've had a really lazy afternoon - we decided to take a cuppa outside and we just sat for ages - we had a great excuse; the swallows (and there are dozens here) we're putting on a real show for ages and we just had to watch. Last evening, we saw what we think are kites; four huge ones covering lots of sky - took my breath away. I took some photos but have not checked them yet.

On a sad note, we've not seen our cat, Louis, for days now. He disappeared ten days ago, then I saw him briefly out in the garden about four days later, but we've not seen him since. I keep hoping he'll turn up but I'm having to face the fact that he may well have gone for good - fearing the worst, there is a certain wild animal here that is known for taking cats, so, if the worst has happened, I hope it was quick. We made an appointment last week to have him 'fixed' (IYKWIM!). Friends have said he must have heard us talking about it! Hopefully, as the weather is so good, he's just taking a break, but I do miss him.

    Anyway, see you all later.

mioliere maybe Louis has just gone looking for a lady friend, I do hope so and that he turns up soon.

Chalky wheelchair blankets are a great idea, and I'd like to echo everyone else in saying a big thankyou for all the work you put in collecting and sewing squares, you did such a good job.

    Hi --
Kathy I was so,so sorry to hear that Louis has not been home for so long. I am sure you are missing him very much indeed. I do hope he has just reached adulthood and his maleness has led him astray. I know he meant so much to you. Do you think he may have had his nose put out of joint when the family were there. My Mum used to have a cat like that -- it got so jealous when she had visitors and she was paying them attention -- it would go off for days!

I certainly do sleep at night--- I love my bed. Those totals are for absolutely ages. I am sitting here trying to finish a few hot water bottle covers for the box which is being picked up tomorrow.

Shelley -- Your things are lovely .Hug to Mum

Sleep tight everyone.Jean hope you feel a bit brighter tomorrow

Maytaurus :iloveyou: but stop putting on more lovely links to patterns pleeeeeease - I won`t live long enough to get through them all, even doing a nightshift as well :rotfl:. Is the gorilla coat going to be like Joseph`s technicolour dreamcoat ??

Chalky - hmm we`ve reached the end of operation stitchup - oh dear, I`ve just got my parcel ready to post off :o. Never mind, I`ll open it up and remove the squares and just send the hedgies and hats - if you still want them ????
I can stitch the squares together here and send them to Lou through the Stonehaven group, no problem.

Jean - sorry I`ve finished the box of maltesers now. Your share was lovely, even better than my half of the box ;)

Kathy - YES you still get Caramac, had one a couple of weeks ago and very scrummy it was too. Might have to think about making some chocolate crispy cakes with Caramac soon .

As someone else said - Louis is maybe out and about `sowing his wild oats` before the vet gets his hands on him.

Shezmit - lovely little keyrings, good idea for fundraising. How much do you charge for them ?

Ah well, I suppose I`d better get ready for bed. Didn`t sleep well last night so hopefully will be better tonight.

    See you tomorrow.

He he Im first up lol while you are all asleep! Been babysitting but must go to bed in a mo as have meeting to talk through my return to work at 10 tomorrow! eek!
Miol praying that Lois returns...as others have said possibly sowing his oats while he is able. They do know, I swear it...we dont tell any cat now that they are going to see uncle Dave (vet) until they are in and safely locked due to vanishing acts in the past! Big hugs for you. You have to let them free though-while in my heart I would love to have Isoke in with me all the time I know its in her spirit to be out...
Chalky thanks SO much for the stitch up - know youve done marvellously and that its been alot of work ...just not enough hours in the day are there?
    I do wonder if people can help me with a thank you project...may put some of those quares to use yet psso!! As you know we have, with a laden heart, had to rehome cats and Dotty and Poppy (two sisters who I had here since Daddy cat impregnanted macey cat all those years ago) which has been heartbreaking for all. They are placed with separate foster carers via this charity;
    http://www.bristolandwalescatrescue.com/links.htm
You can see Potty cat on the cats needing homes and Dotty will be up soon. I asked if there was anything practical I could do and they would happily have blankets, esp good for kittens or those in runs! So if anyone is able to send me ready made small blankets (approx 20inches square) of 1 or two layers (or 1 layer 20x40 so it can be folded in 2) then Ill send them en masse - hopefully we can coordinate collection as I travel to Bristol a fair ammt. They really have been a lifesaver and so supportive at what was a horrible decision. I know many of you love animals so hope that some of you will support me in giving back to them! Please pm me if you can help so that i can give addy!
F1 hugs for you; psso, may etc lovely to see you posting. chalky hope finger is better!
Its my last week before work starts so am off on my summer hols - 1 night camping on Weds...am very excited...and will take my crochet in a vain attempt to become as cool as lovely lucy!
