Hi all - have a brief respite with electric turned on, so I've grabbed the chance to come back on here!
Chalky - I took a quick look at your DDIL's blog and I am so so impressed with what she has achieved! I will go back on and post a comment.
Magic of Motown sound brilliant. A few years ago we went to the BIC (Bournemouth International Conference centre) and saw - absolutely live and just as great as ever - Candi Statton, The Real Thing, Odyssey, and loads of others. We danced for hours and hours and were worn out for the whole of the next day, but it was so worth it! Have a great time - I just wish I was there, too! Please do a bop for me and DH - he's just as mad on Motown as I am, which is lucky for both of us!
Taralou - I only briefly welcomed you earlier this morning but I think Chalky has said how we all feel about this thread. The girls on here really are lovely! We would love to see photos of the things you have made!
ISOM - enjoy chillin' this evening!
Right, off to take another look at Iggle Piggle and Macca Pacca!
(((Hugs))) to all who are MIA. You are all missed but we understand if posting is difficult.

Oh Jarus another friend from over the border. My SIL lives in Aberdeen. Jean and PSSO will be along soon to welcome you in your native tongue.
Thanks all you lovely lot for visiting Charlotte. I will ask her to post the patterns as they would be a wonderful addition to our collectionTry and do a good deed every day.0 -
Ooh Jarus, another Scottie in Scotland ? Or is it just your roots that are scottish and you`re living somewhere else - like roamin in the gloamin lives in France.
Hello  Taralou, welcome to the merry gang. Glad you found us at last and you`ll be in good company as most of us can`t just stick to one thing at a time. We`re all butterflies flitting about, I think we get fed up using the same colour after a while and need to do something else for a change, well that`s my excuse anyway.
I`m coping with that by doing a jumper in stripes of peach and cream, so that relieves the monotony :rotfl:.
Well, DS went to the Dr yesterday and was told he has a very severe infection in his throat/glands. Apparently he hasn`t seen as bad a case for a while (doesn`t do things by halves my boy ) so he`s got antibiotics to try to clear it quickly in case he gets an early date for his operation. Strange thing is he hasn`t had a sore throat, but all of a sudden his neck / jaw/adam`s apple area swelled up and he can hardly swallow or talk. Oh well, pity that won`t last long.
Bit grey and dreary here today so no garden tidying, have to do the bedroom instead - sigh...- then I can sit down with the needles in the evening. Cleared out the pantry yesterday and came across a box of Maltesers I`d forgotten about, so I`ll munch a few of them while doing the knitting tonight. Yummy treat to look forward to ......wish it was later :rotfl:.
Have a good day and ((hugs)) are freely available to anyone in need. See you later.

Aberdeen, Aberdeen, Aberdeen!
Lots of fine quines and lovely loons!! lol
Small world as they say. I lived for many years in the Middle-East and was always amazed at how many North-East Scots I met out there (perhaps trying to escape our weather.)
Lovely to see more new posters on this thread, I really enjoy hearing about what eveyone is making.
Tale care and hugs for all those dealing with sad times just now.
