  • Elaine, I can knit them - no problem as you say, it doesn't take pattern but my head just goes to all the poor wee souls and then I end up all sad. My mum lost a wee boy and Dear Wee Sis and me were always told about when his birthday would have been etc. I made a promise to myself that I would do at least one, so that is just what I am at. Perhaps when I have finished I will feel a bit differently. I am having a struggle at the minute just to knit, arms are aching but that will all be better in jig time - I SAID SO!!!
Chalky - you are certainly managing with the sewing even tho' you have been in the wars, must be very frustrating not being able to do any HOOKING, give it time and you'll be right back at it. Cuppa calling then I really DO have to read the "how to make the DVD player/tv record" book as I would like to record a programme tonight while I am out and said DVD recorder/player has been in the house for over two years and I haven't yet managed to do anything with it apart from play them....

I will pop back later and post a picture of Pippa S' friend Jo's squares as they have come together for a very sweet hot water bottle cover. DD1 wanted it as she thinks it looks very vintage but it is going in the box which is off to Lou on Monday 12.5 kg of wolly stuff from us all and our friends in Spain-- How wonderful

    Evening all :hello:

Quick pop in today got a real woolly lounge that needs some attention ;) you know what its like ....start off sorting a little bit then find loads of forgotten bags of stuff.....I have sooo many fluffy/furry/ribbony balls in every nook and cranny:eek: I reckon I've enough to knit a gorrilla a new coat, it would be like the "amazing technicolour dreamcoat":rotfl:If anyone would like some of it just let me know

I also have a bag of snowflake that was given to me ages ago I havent even gone through it :o The colours are White/Pink/Blue and some lilac, but thats chennille I think, anyway as I said if anyone wants any or all of it I am more than happy to send it out to you just let me know.
I can post a pic if you like :)

Kathy - ahh your Mum sounds lovely,I'm glad she is ok, she will love her "do" MIL did when she was 80 she is 90 this November so it looks like another "do" for her. They do love to see the new family additions don't they gives them a bit of a boost don't you think?
I bought myself some red shoes last year and a red handbag and I LOVE them, trouble is DGD1 has taken a liking to them as well....I had to hide them when she went home or she would have wanted to take them with her even though they are far too big. I must say I am glad I kept most of my heels the girls loved delving into the wardrobe and trying them all on,
chalky - Hope the thumb is healing up a bit now.The sleeping bag liners look brilliant clever you, not bad on an old machine ;)think I might doing something similar for the girls when they come down to the van, we are hoping to get down there the week after next. Looking forward to seeing Jo's made up squares,I will get OH to print a pic off for her so we can take it on Saturday, she will be tickled pink :D ooo just noticed your MIL will be celebrating her 80th soon as well they just love family gatherings dont they
Jean - Hope the bruises are easing off a bit,

Good evening to you all -- Pippa is snowflake that lovely soft wool that is a bit like eyelash without the long hairy bits? If it is I would love it for the hedgies!
As promised a picture of 1 hot water bottle using Jo's squares. I was so pleased to see that Lou wanted hot water bottle covers in her latest challenge as it was the ideal solution to use some squares that were not in the blankets--- in Operation " Stitch Up " I will put the other pictures on Wooligans using some lovely squares and embellishments that you have sent. So do have a look. I think Kathy can sign you in now if you want to join the merry band

DD1 wanted this one as she thought it truly vintage

Evening all...hugs those that need them; jarus come on in and settle down for some virtual knitting and friendship!
Well no wooly stuff done here as just been chasing my tail a bit; felt very poorly last night and spent much of night throwing up which was quite disgusting but felt better after feeling really rotten from about 6 to 1am so at least then i could sleep. Isoke came to look after me while in thebathroom bless her; just say quietly occasionally touching my feet. Who says then arent human...unusually she stayed with me all night (usually out on the town!) which was lovely!

Today a sad one with collecting dotty cat from Tom and delivering her to new foster home in Bristol...hearwrenching and I just want her settled as she has had 3 moves in a year. Horrible saying the final goodbye as ive had her and poppy since being born...
Just had violin lesson #2 - attemoted twinkle twinkle!! seriously bad but teh only way is up! Tomorrow saying goodbye to best mate and going to the american museum in bath which ive wanted to see for a while as lots of beautiful quilts! May inspire me to finish mine! Then next week (so excited I could seriosuly pee my pants!) going for a nights camping with my friend E who has 3 children - one of whome is just edible!! Got my tent and blow up mattress and realy to go! Aim for this weekend is to finish the cardi so I can deliver next week!
Off to bed I go...huggles those that need them and lovely to see so many posting!

Mrs Moneypenny - I'm so very sorry to hear the news about your poor FIL; he was obviously much-loved. You and your family are in my thoughts and prayers at this very sad time.
