Wow all these Aberdeenians!!!! I don't think that is the correct collective noun for you all!!
Right SIL lives In Keith Hall near Kinmuck near Inverurie . Always flippin freezin when we go but we are soft Southerners!!!!
= QUOTE]
Correct collective noun is Aberdonians - the city is between the Dee and the Don so just to keep an even keel between the two they change from `deen` to `don` :rotfl:well that`s my theory anyway
Keithhall is just a few miles `oot the road` from me so we`re practically neighboursHave you had a meal in the Boar`s Head at Kinmuck ?
Hurrying to get this jumper finished, Lou`s had a request for preemie things from a couple of the hospitals so want to do some blankets and angel capes and baby baskets and , and , and , oh everything.
I love doing tiny things as they`re finished so quickly.
Off to sit down with a cuppa and the knitting. I will finish this thing tonight, not going to bed till it`s done as I`m fed up with it now.
Hope you had a wee Motown bop for me Chalky . The show isn`t coming up here, nearest would be Perth or Edinburghdon`t know if I can be bothered going all that way.
See you tomorrow.
Elaine.

Re ‘friends who have been asked to take in some abandoned kittens, four in total, just about seven days old,
that had been left on the corner of a busy road.
They were just in a bundle on the road itself, not even in a box,
so I’ll let you work out what the cruel owner’s intentions were.
The kittens are gorgeous.
Our friends are currently feeding them every four hours, night and day, and they are thriving, really full of beans now,
friendly, and very affectionate, but still very tiny.
Luckily, they have all found homes to go to once they are around eight weeks old.’
I’m so pleased they will all have good homes Kathy :T
Studies have found that people who abuse animals are five times more likely to commit violent crimes against humans
There is of course a mountain of info about this but ... some interesting reading here

My super little cavadoodle ‘Zen’ never leaves my side
He sleeps next to me on the bed and sits next to me on the sofa ...
on the rare occasions I leave the house he is always right next to me
and he always knows when I’m feeling really ill etc ... he cuddles in really close to me.
If I fall asleep sitting up when I’m crocheting and quite some time goes by ...
he puts his front paws on my lap and his face close to mine to wake me up
I personally think they are far more wonderful than the average human,...
you only have to read what Kathy said about the kittens

I must do my updates this week - been a bit obsessed by knitting bootees this week but its using up the wool(although DH says they look a bit of a funny shape - what does he know tut tut) - have also knitted in last few weeks scarves - two balls contrasting colours and pull on hats - (2 strands again) for LH and my friends Mum for xmas boxes and my biggest achievement (although not quite finished) is one of the bodywarmers for preemies (the first time ive tried a "cardigan type" item)
shezmit - how are you - how is Mum? xxx
So if anyone sees my mojo - give it some cake and a kick up the bottom back to me :rotfl:
Love and hugs to all those that are poorlie or have troubles and of course hugs to all others xxxx
PS :jWelcome to our new ladies xxDebt Diary: Im not going to be an Ostrich anymore -LBM - 16/1/12 /0 -
Hi everyone - a late start for me because we had visitors for coffee, so I've enjoyed an hour or so in the sun chatting. It's feeling like a lazy Sunday here so, apart from DH boxing in some pipes upstairs - only a small project - I think we'll be taking the rest of the day slowly!
Maytaurus - a wonderful post, again. Thank you so much for lovely words and great links. I loved the video! I hope life is treating you as well as can be.
Our latest lot of electrical work was finished yesterday - it included an outside light so guess where we were sat at 11pm last night! The electrics here have been a major job really but we have broken it down into sections; luckily, one of our friends here is a qualified electrician so he has been doing the work for us. DH can do some of it but, as he's colour blind, we need to get it checked properly before it's all connected!
Well, it's about a month until we go back to the UK so I'm busy deciding on woolly stuff to take with me for the journey. I have so many oddments that I think I'll be doing preemie hats and booties, which I can post from the UK when I get there. I might also do some IS hats, too - just simple things that don't need too much concentration. I already have a load of hats for LH so I must get them packed up.
Anyway, I hope the lovely newbies are settling in! It's great to have you all with us.
Chalky - hope you had a good time last night!
Well, I'd better go and do some lunch.

Good Morning to one and all -- Well a great time was had by all at the Motown evening -- Lots of clapping and singing
Well all the family have now gone and I am getting ready to send the VERY large box of woolly stuff to Lou at Loving Hands
So this seems a very good time to make an announcement about Operation Stitch Up . What started as a very small idea after Christmas when all was quiet on the thread has resulted in 32 completed Lapacuudlyghans and 12 hot water bottle covers.
I did ask for ideas as to where they should go once but of course there were as many ideas as blankets. So I hope you all approve and I have added them all to the very large box on its way to Lou tomorrow as one of the challenges is for wheelchair blankets and hot water bottle covers. I know she will be thrilled and they are assured of going to a very good home.
I do hope everyone who has sent squares is happy with this .
So thank you all so much for either contributing or showing such lovely support but I am going to end the project now and move on to some other bits and pieces. Charity work of course but also start thinking about CHR***** ( SORRY!)
I have a few more squares--- not enough to make into a blanket so I will use these to make hot water bottle covers and then add them to my next parcel.
Tomorrow I am going to put a very long post on my blog with all the pictures of the blankets etc and there are also pictures on Wolligans so I hope you enjoy having a lookTry and do a good deed every day.0
