Maytaurus I'm so sorry to hear of your double loss, it doesn't matter how old you are it's hard being an orphan, but I know that your Mum and your Dad are looking down on you and trying to help you through this sad time. Big hugs. X

I seem to have joined the thread at a sad time - sorry to read of your loss, May. It's hard to lose someone close; my thoughts are with you.

Following up my last post, got my crochet hook through security at two airports yesterday so I guess I won't be sitting around doing nothing in airport lounges from now on! It has to be projects where the threads don't need cutting though, as scissors are still banned!

  • Morning Morag, good to hear the the crochet hook wasn't considered a dangerous weapon.......you will just have to keep to one colour and carry on.....a blanket...for a baby or an animal bed?
Sun is really making an effort today, so I am doing the washing in the hope it stays on the rope long enough to dry.
love and cuddles to everyone, will pop back a bit later

Been cooking for Mom most of the afternoon, doing shepherds pies for her freezer as she can eat them easily.

I have been doing some more on the all colour bits and bobs granny, and have almost finished it now, it's used up 3 bags of little balls some the same colour but I have added them as and when so they mix all up...it looks errrm interesting:rotfl:I'll post a pic when its all done :)

Hello to one and all-- Lovely to see you back and so glad you had some spoiling yesterday Pippa -!
May --- I am so sorry to read your news -- Life does seem to be determined to give you a hard time just now. I hope lovely memories help heal a sadness like no other.

Lots of gentle thoughts to one and all and welcome to new friends!

I too had a lovely day with DD1 cooking and lots of lovely treats but actually what made it perfect was all being together again and EARLY MORNING CUDDLES with William. DS delivered him to our bed at 7.30 for cuddles and giggles. He is sleeping for 12 hours a night! Unbelievable. Must take after his laid back mummy and certainly not his party loving aunties!!!

I have been sanding banister rails and doors all day today -- What a horrible contrast but needs must!!

Must go and make the workers a cuppa but will pop some pictures on tomorrow!
    Love to all
Try and do a good deed every day.

Morning all! Thanks for all good wishes; I'm getting there but feeling frustrated that I dont feel ill per se but can do very little without getting tired. I know I have had a major op but doesent stop it being frustrated! Thankfully I havent had the depression that alot of people seem to suffer and am still on track with investigating getting as much healthy food in as I can which is good; thats not to say that I will do that always but good to start on the right track.
I have a massive favor to ask; is anyone any good at spreadsheets? I would really like a spreadsheet that tracks weight/bmi/weight to goal for me and for my blog but just cant find one and am hopeless with things like that. Can anyone assist please?
Morag good to hear that you managed to get through ok! Re cutting while travelling I have found these to be fantastic when travelling; the one on the top is great for any kind of needle craft

Chalky great you had a good weekend; re the sanding just think how wonderful the end result will be!
