Knit Your Square to Give Your Share - PART 4
Comments
-
Marru - we usually do blanket squares in DK so perhaps 2 strands of sock yarn together if you want to use it up making them? By the way, I notice that your sock heels look like a continuation of the ribed leg - is that an easier way to turn a heel? (I am completely stuck on that)
Would you have crochet instructions for squares? I think I can manage to adjust the size if I can get going. Can design knitting patterns (sort of) but no idea about crochet apart from following pattern.
I do the heel right side as slip one, knit one and wrong side purl all. Makes the fabric a bit more robust. Made a sock for BF today (from the brown ball), need to get on with the other one.
And thank you all for lovely comments re the socks. Knitting seems to be only thing at the moment keeping me at least remotely sane. :rotfl:"Everything will be alright in the end. If it's not alright, it's not the end."

oh I missed pippa before she went on holiday - I hope she has a lovely time
roamin - nasty doctor - does he not realise you have about 50 sisters gunning for him at the moment :rotfl:- whilst I appreciate its their job and they do it every day - I really wish they "would" spare a "kind " thought for us patients who are living the problems or having the treatment - hope you are ok now xxx
Well im busy - wrote a list yesterday and got many things crossed off - which I was pleased about - realised its Mothers day in about 10 days - I was planning a cross stitch picture for my Mum (not sure whether thats going to be done though in time) its quite big - so woolly stuff is put to one side while I do a bit and will have to decide whether Im going to get it done or whether it will wait until birthday in August. I just really want to knit ........................
Have to sort some more ebay bits and bobs out
would you believe that someone paid £20.79 for the first edition of Mollie Makes Magazine with the other two being sold for £6 something and £7 something - cant believe that - I got the first three issues on a special - 3 issues for £5 - so I did well there
Well am off for my second tea of the day - love and hugs to all and hope you are all having a good day xxxDebt Diary: Im not going to be an Ostrich anymore -LBM - 16/1/12 /0 -

I am trying to keep a track of you all but I really do apologise for my lack of individual posts but time on the computer is so scarce and then when it is ---- If I am spotter coming in the front door, usually bu Buster crying with delight -- It all goes a bit like this-- 2 Put the kettle on, Can you just check/hoid/think about this etc" In fact all things Dave so I look forward to normal service being resumed in mid April I am told!!
I am getting plastered today!!!Try and do a good deed every day.0 -
Hi everyone
I've been busy in the garden today, tidying things up; it was all getting that tired neglected look. It's been so lovely and sunny lately that it's actually warmer outside than in at the moment. We had another viewing of the house yesterday; unlike other people, this couple (French) stayed for over an hour and seemed really interested, but we're not holding our breath! If they put in an offer, then we'll consider it a bonus. I get the impression that a lot of so-called househunters are what DH calls tyre-kickers', but we shall see.
Jean - your doctor sounds awful and definitely in the wrong job. I hope you don't have to see him again.
Pippa - you've probably left now, but I just want to wish you bon voyage and a happy holiday; you both deserve it.
Chalky - do you have to wash the plaster buckets out? I HATE that job even if I have been told that I'm good at it!
F1 - well done on selling those magazines for such a good profit!
Mrs Moneypenny - thinking about Lily and hoping she is doing well.
I haven't picked up my wool for a few days, so I really must get stuck in to something this evening. I've spent a few days on my office. I decided to move the desk because my back was to the window and I was working in my own shadow, so I moved it which meant everything else in the room had to be moved, too. These things are never simple, are they? Anyway, it's definitely been worth it because there is so much light on the keyboard now. I think it was actually putting me off working before I moved it. I think having the right light levels is so important, so I'm glad I did it even if it did take a lot of time to finish the job!
Well, I've only scanned this page of posts, so I'll try and catch up with the previous ones tomorrow. I'll also do the update for this week then. Thanks for all the totals so far.
I hope the sun is shining for you all, wherever you are, and lots of hugs for those in need.

oh no thats awful socky...big hugs for you
Sorry missed pippa but hope they will have a great time!
F1 great that you at least have a diagnosis even if not what you wanted it gives something to work round..Mum is ok ta...the selling of her flat was a nightmare and the woman who bought it was vile but hopefully now all sorted! Pre-op diet is going well...I wont cheat as its important to have as small a liver as possible. Am very excited about it but somewhat overshadowed by work stuff which I hope will be resolved soon. Who knows!! Its made me seriously consider my job and whether I should go in a different direction but we shall see...main priority is surviving the week in work and then the op and recovering from it!
Roaming give edna a bash with a broom dont stay in there with her cos then she thinks you're her best mate and wont leave you alone...shes a read PITA to get rid of!!...
Chalky hope the build continues to move apace and MIL gets stronger daily
Miol fingers crossed for a sale soon at least weather improving...
Just back from choir so pooped so off to the land of nod!
