    Evening all,
wotnext big welcome to you, your family sounds interesting, not that we're nosy at all.

ISOM I'll be thinking of you in the morning and wishing you well. It's going to make such a big difference to your life, you won't have to worry about work because they'll all be fighting over you, you'll be able to pick and choose at will. Very best wishes you dear girl.xx

Thankyou everyone for the kind remarks about Lucy, she is asleep at the moment. She found she could climb a couple of steps yesterday, nothings sacred anymore. Poor Oscar is fedup with having his fur pulled, he stands and barks and waits for someone to get her off him.

mioliere I'm so sorry to hear about your Mum, it's such a worry. Fingers crossed for some good news. Nice to hear good news about your BIL.

mrs m hope you hear from your brother about Lily soon. She is obviously a real fighter.

Shaz hope the headaches on it's way out, not surprising with everything thats happened lately. Big hugs.x

Chalky lots of love and best wishes for mil.x

Love to everyone I've missed xxx

mrs m - well done you on cracking on with 50 for 50 - how is Lily - thinking of her xx hope the teeth have recovered xx
the tooth i had filled was a small filling that had come out, i hadnt noticed it had gone till my check up, ive known for a while i would need a crown as my previous dentist did a root canal - he didnt tell me till afterwards what he was doing, he spent the next two years trying to persuade me to have a crown at an extortionate amount -he was private. i was mad with him as id never had toothache till he decided to do that filling then a couple of years later he said he was refilling it and did the root canal. at least now i go to an nhs dentist adn he seems really good and honest!

had a few texts off my brother today hes spent the weekend with lily shes had another operation during the week but seems to be recovering well, i got another lovely photo to treasure and am hoping to go over mums soon and brother will try to come over with lola. lily is still too ill to be seen by anyone other than her parents (my mum has been to see her once while she was out of ic and on normal prem ward) cant wait to give them both a hug, and my poor brave little brother who seems to be going through the mill with worry over his girls.
ISOM will be thinking of you and hoping everything goes well and is all sucessful
hugs to all as i think we deserve one each.

    Hi everyone.

Good luck to ISOM; I hope everything goes really well and that you are soon back at home recovering.

Mrs Moneypenny - my thoughts are with little Lily.

Well, I've had not too happy a weekend. We had the results of my Mum's tests at the memory clinic and it's the worst news we could have had. She has Alzheimer's and vascular dementia (mixed dementia, they call it), and there's no treatment they can give her because of her lung problems (she had half of each lung removed when she was expecting me, due to TB). Now that the diagnosis is official, they can start arranging things to help her, and we are hoping that she can find a place in 'assisted living' where she would still have her own place and be as independent as possible, but someone would call on her throughout the day to take care of her. She is forgetting to use her inhalers so her breathing is a lot worse, and also forgetting her eyedrops, so the glaucoma is getting worse, too. My sister is taking very good care of her but it must be exhausting, and she can't be there all the time, although she spends as much time with mum as she can. My brother was going down there yesterday, so I am waiting for a call from him to see what to do next, and he will start chasing up the care she needs. It's so unfair; she has been through such a lot and has always been the one to do the looking after; it's the last thing we expected to happen to her, and we are still reeling from the shock, if a little relieved that at least we know what we are dealing with.

It's all very distressing, and I've never felt so far away as I do now, so the sooner we get this house sold, the better; I just want to go home for good now.

I hope I haven't dampened the mood on here, but it really does help to be able to get it written down, and I know you'll all understand. I've had some lovely emails from Maytaurus, whose mum has the same as mine, so that has given me great comfort, and she said I can email her whenever I want, which is lovely.

I'll catch up with the update tomorrow.

I will include mine in that as we have the appointment at the hospital with DMIL tomorrow -- Fingers crossed that the news is not too bad-- She has been quite shaky today so we have done a bit of sorting/looking through old photos etc and now she is sitting knitting baby hats.

Had a scary moment the other day - I ran out of wool:eek: Even my Oh was worried, what on earth would I do?? Went to Wilkies and got a few balls to see me through. Luckily I found a bag of odds and bits and they were all in pink and plum so have managed to get a blanket for Mrs Twins out of it. Just got to crochet all the squares together and I am done:j love the pic of you sat crochetting Mrs T, you look fab on it:)

Am spening time doing a cross stitch for myself at the mo as Oh is not doing too good.

Hope you have good news on baby Lily Mrs Moneypenny. My premmie was 31 yesterday and is a strong fine young man.

Hugs to all in need, you really are lovely people here x

Kathy - how very sorry I was for you to see your sad news of your Mum I cant imagine how hard it must be for you - DH's nan has had some pills for her "forgetfulness" as they have called it but they made her feel quite ill (and she forgot where she had put them!) - we will I am sure all have a few words with someone upstairs that you will be back across that water before you know it - so prayers and just about everything crossed - you know we are all here for you - just as you have for us

oh crikes DH home early .............. back later xxx
so just quickly - chalky house is looking wonderful I cant wait to see the finished product - blanket as always is stunning loving the pinks! xx
