Hi everyone, hope you are all well.
Have only had a quick skim through so I`m sorry if I`ve missed anything important.

Shaz - really sorry to read about your friend. Must have been a real shock for those who knew him.

Kinsey - cute wee pup. Ours USED to be that size, unfortunately they growed and growed.

Kathy - hopefully one of the `tyre kickers` will purchase !!

Roamin - hope you are behaving yourself in the sweatshop.
Now why on earth do you think I need to go on a buying spree - for yarn ??? I could stock a wool shop with my stash. :rotfl:
Mind you, it is very therapeutic all that squeezing and squishing and drooling over tasty, tempting colours. Mmmmm.:D

Chalky - we`re all fine here. Little J does have a habit of taking off with my ball of wool so I`m resigned to not doing anything woolly unless he`s asleep. Roll on bedtime ! Babysitting tonight as DD is off out for pizza and cinema with the girl next door.

Mrs moneypenny - how is the 50 challenge going ? So far I`ve only done 8 of Mayflowers prem items but mojo seems to like doing them so will continue slowly.

ISOM - ooo D-day is almost here. Good luck and hope all goes well for you. Glad things seem to be better at work for you.

F1 - little bags are lovely. Hope the laundry lady`s perks are mounting. I had 25p out of DS`s jeans today :rotfl:Yes, I`ve been `watching` you on t`other side.;) Keep it up girl.

Away to dive in the freezer to see what we can have for tea so might just flick the kettle switch on as I`m passing...:D

    Hi all

mrs m - what a worry for little Lilly - still have a quite thought about her and hope she gets stronger xx - oo you are getting on well with the 50 items I do like mayflowers little angel clare bodywarmers they are so quicky and cute big hugs xx

psso - tee hee im glad you are keeping an eye on me - the laundry lady has not had much the last week or so just a few pennies unfortunately - little J sounds like a proper cutie! - have a lovely weekend -big hugs xx

isom - oh no you are sounding quite relaxed about everything - more than me - I think im doing all the worrying for you !!!;) - take care and big hugs xx

wotnext - welcome to you - hope you enjoy popping in with us - I love it here - and we are always more than happy to have a newbie on board to share a laugh or moan - look forward to seeing you back xx

chalky - will be thinking of DMIL - shame you missed a cuddle - oh and not long now before DD comes back :j:j - hope you and the sporty one are well xx

kathy - DH Nan (aged 91) has been going to memory clinic - she is fantastic what she manages to do but it is only in recent months she has been steadily forgetting like how to get round my FIL's or who is in a photo or what is in the cupboard - they gave her some pills but she didnt like them - although a recent visit they said her memory had improved (funny that considering I dont think she told them she wasnt taking the pills!)

We did wonder whether her memory problems had got worse since her son (my FIL) had become so ill and the more upset she is the more her memory is affected which is understable.

Was glad to hear that BIL is improving and that your sister does not worry so much - its such a strain for everyone isnt it.
How did your prospective buyers get on? (im sorry if Ive missed the answer to that one) - big hugs xx

roamin - hope you are well - are you out of the sweatshop yet? xx

Anyway to everyone I havent mentioned - all those mia's, having hard times or feeling poorly - sending lots of hugs and hope you can be back with us soon xxx

Have a lovely weekend - not sure if i will get back in - the boys are around this weekend so just as i get to the computer DH or DS always want a "quick look" before me!
    Hugs all round xxx

Thank you all so much for such a welcome. You're all very kind. :)

I am a very busy mum so will pop in when I can. I have been knitting since I was a young girl and am very pleased it has come back in to fashion and I'm no longer seen as an "old fogie"! :D As I lead a bit of a hectic life, I use knitting and craft as my therapy.

    Hello all

Well what a difference in the weather today - yesterday was a lovely bright spring day and today we have had rain/sleet - windy and cold.

Have been doing odds and ends - I dont think the cross stitch will be done by mothers day so there is no point beating myself up over it!

As for laundry perks well I managed 87p this week ;)

Have been having a dummy run on cake - this will be the very first year I have made DS a birthday cake hmmm (did make cupcakes last year if that counts)- so as far as being MSE I brought a personalised cake topper from ebay (out of the money I earnt from sales) and was trying out the correct mix for the size of tin i have today - have also made bacon / egg flan with salad for dinner - sticking to meal planner which is really quite good.

sock-knitter - oh a big hug to you - I sympathise with you having had headaches which last for days its awful isnt it xx

mrs m - well done you on cracking on with 50 for 50 - how is Lily - thinking of her xx hope the teeth have recovered xx

ISOM - thinking of you and hoping you are ok - sounds like you are really having a good think about everything which is good - just dont overdo yourself especially with the op coming up xx

kathy / roamin / prfungi / kinsey / seakay / psso / pippa s / wotnext / chalky / ptb (I know Ive missed some brain dead as usual) and all you other lovely ladies - hope you have had a lovely weekend and are well - sending big hugs and lots of gentle thoughts xx

Well better be off - back soon xx

Afternoon all! Thanks for your good wishes; am pretty much packed and ready and taxi will collect me at 6.30am! Will let you know I am ok when I am able! Am not worried though as he is a good surgeon with lots of experience and the anesthatist is also lovely I am told! Am taking my blanket in with me so hope to get so of that done while I wait.
Hugs socky re the headache...are you drinking enough water? Hope it gets better for you :)
F1 one of the great things for me debt busting was learning to cook! Never did before but now I love it! Also discovered that cakes arent as hard as they look! I would heighly reccomend the 1000 cakes and bisc book which is returned to time and time again plus never had a recipe go wrong...unlike nigella!
wotnext lovely to see you! Come say hi when you can!
Hope the rest of you are ok ;) havent seen tooti for a while and hope all ok? big hugs!
