    Hi everyone,

roamin' let's hope that doctor's never ill!

chalky mid April's not so far away if you say it quick.......

Shaz how awful, for everyone concerned. An unexpected death is always so devastating. Thinking of you, as always.

f1 so annoying that you could have been on medication years ago and probably got side effects sorted out, they can be horrific as my brother found out.

ISOM good that Mum's flat is sold, and wishing you so much luck and positive vibes for the op.

    Well my latest news is:
Look what John (DH) brought home on saturday

    dscf0350cz.jpg

Her name is Lucy and she's just seven weeks old, so as you an imagine there's not much woolly stuff getting done except to untangle her from it. Oscar is being very patient, but I think it's wearing a bit thin already.

Love and big hugs to everyone, xxx

I see I missed Pippa S going off on a jaunt to somewhere warm, ooops...........Chalky, that house is coming along really well, and not long till you DD returns, it must be so exciting at yours right now
Mioliere - keeping my fingers crossed (when I can) for the RIGHT person to just come and view your house.
F1 - I do see you - even when you think I don't............keep at it, you are doing great.........
Mrs Moneypenny - sending you lots of love to pass on to the babies, off course you can have some too

I am currently glued into the sweatshop...........YES I am actually managing to spend all day in there - ladies washables- I have a real thing about them. Managing a bit of crochet in the evenings, but I must try and programme in some knitting machine time, before I need to strip it and oil it all up again!

Socky huge hugs for you...remember to bash edna if she tries to take advantage!
    Roaming go gently now!

Well some good news to report for a change! The work situation is now sorted thankfully but leaves me with many questions for the future in terms of my job and where I want to be. I am hoping that the surgery will give me more confidence and help me generally in feeling less tired etc. We shall see.
Other good news is that I had to have a scan this am as there were concerns on my blood tests and they wanted to check all ok; an anxious day later all is well and Monday is definate! Yipee! Just one more day of work to survive and that's it for a while. Am now officially excited! Have been feeling very tired if late, suspect its the stress, so off to bed in a mo but wanted to report in on some good news for a change!

    Hi everyone

Shaz - I am so sorry to hear about your friend. What a dreadful shock.

Kinsey - that's the cutest little puppy I've seen in a long while! He looks completely irresistible!

Jean - hope all is well with you and that you are find the time to relax. I haven't done the update yet but will do it over the weekend. Despite intending to keep this week more or less 'at home' things have done their usual thing and taken over. Friends came back from holidaying in the UK to find water all over the ground floor of the house; they've been away since before Christmas but had left the key with the plumber to come in and fix a boiler problem. Said plumber (French, of course) forgot to turn the water off and, well, you can guess the rest! He's the second person we've heard about here that that's happened to lately. Anyway, the plumber first of all would not admit liability but he has changed his mind, so now the insurance side of things can go ahead; in the meantime, DH and I have been helping to mop things up and so on. There's always something going on here. Anyway, the water has gone, and we're just drying things out now, and DH has quoted for some of the work that needs doing, so some good may come out of it!

F1 - those bags are gorgeous!

Wotnext - a warm welcome to you. I hope you pop in again; you'll find a warm welcome from us all.

ISOM - glad things are going well for you. It's about time!

Mrs Moneypenny - well done not having a injection. I'm not sure I'd be that brave!

Chalky - hope things are going as smoothly as they can under the circumstances!

Well, today we get the results of the tests my mum has had carried out at the memory clinic, so we are really hoping that she can be helped. She has long-standing chest problems (she had TB and had to have half of each lung removed when she was five months pregnant with me), which she can usually control with several different types of inhaler but she's been very breathless lately, and we think it's because she's getting confused and not using the inhalers properly. We are really keeping our fingers crossed that the memory clinic can come up with something to help her. It's a real worry and I'm just so glad that my sister is there to look after her. My BIL is doing so well that he's motorbiked down to Devon with their son for the weekend; we are amazed that he is feeling that good, and my sister says that she can hardly believe how well he is. The doctors are testing him more or less every week, and they are pleased with his progress, though they can't say that he's cured or even in remission. Still, as long as he's enjoying life, and my sister is not worrying about him quite so much, that's all we can ask for.

Anyway, I am off to check over the holiday home this afternoon, so I hope I don't find any problems there.

Hope you are all having a good day.
