Hi all
Can anyone help me? I am teaching myself to knitand I am struggelng to read a pattern the instruction is as follows
[k1,k fb, K to one stitch before next marker, k fb k1 into marked st]
I am ok with marked stitches but I am not sure if the only k fb stitches are the first and last ones or does it mean alternate a k stitch with a k fb stitch.
Does this make any sense or am i reading it all wrong?
Mrs VPI am playing all of the right notes just not necessarily in the right order.

Mrs VP
My interpretation is as follows:
Knit the first stitch, Knit front and back into next st (this results in an increase), knit up to the stitch before the marker, knit front and back into next st (another increase), and knit the marked st.
It's not easy to interprete without seeing the whole pattern in context, but I hope this helps. In knitting patterns, brackets are used to group a set of stitches together, usually when they are going to be repeated. By the way, there's a comma missing after your second 'fb'.
(Sig is totally out of date as I've not posted for so long!)
