    Just a quickie ladies (sorry!)

isom - Im so sorry to hear you are in the same place as us - when the Money Advisor advised us that that was our top option I was distraught and am still very worried about it but have given ourselves a time limit to see if we can crack the back bone of it so I understand totally how distraught you must be although I appreciate we already are in rented accommodation - so as everyone has supported me I hope we can support you - with special hugs xxx

roamin - whilst you are "edna bucket" I hope you know we all think you are lovely and very special - anything we can help with? xxxx

psso - a belated happy birthday xxx

chalky - oo love the conservatory - my they are cracking on xxx

pippa - snap we had the chicken roast but sadly no jam roly poly :( - I had an individual tesco value cheesecake (yummy) and the boys had a yogurt - hope you have lovely time with family xxx

Well what can I say we all seem to be in the depths at the moment and im sure this weekends weather will not have helped

Special thoughts and hugs to you all xxx

that is for all of you.
I have also been thinking about the Mayflowers items, I have been knitting the children for Was an Old woman lived in a shoe had so many children she didn't know what to do.........knitting them is a doddle but sewing them up is a proper pain in the backside, so may take up MM's offer on Loving Hands to stuff and stitch them up. So will go and add a line covering MAYFLOWER ITEMS.
ISOM - hang on in there girl you can survive it.
SOCK-KNITTER - WELL DONE YOU on the weight loss, what a fantastic start. I hope you also have an easier week this next one.
CHALKY.....LOVING the work in progress, but I do hope that the bath is getting a proper bathroom - not you out into the garden everytime you want a long soak in the bath! Not too long now and it will be all mended and back together at your place
SEAKAY - Made that lemon curd yet? Any lemons will do you know they don't have to cost a fortune and if you think they are too small buy more!

  • Evening lovelies; in haste as off to babysit! Thank you for all your lovely support. Its been a good weekend of thinking, sleeping, talking things through with mum and getting support from church and lovely friends. I feel alot stronger than I did on Friday (good old shock!) and will just sit it out and let it run its course. I will speak to the union rep again (now that I am vaguely coherant lol!) and go through my concerns generally with her. I was reminded in church that God has a plan and I just need to submit my care to Him; he hasnt let me down yet and I know he wont now....so in the words of the old cliche what will be will be!
Well done socky on that 5ibs!! Fantastic!
Roaming and PSSO ...hugs...regardless of why heads in buckets (or body firmly under duvet in my case) I return to the chant "this too shall pass".
Seakay yum yum...dont forget to share lemon curd to poor stressed people!! Hope to see you tomorrow - will text in a bit re lift! I am hoping someone Ive met may come along!
Chalky am very impressed with the progress; they really have got a move on. Do either do it as a job?
F1 big hugs for you...in terms of debts I would go with what they suggest; in some ways it would be a relief for me to start afresh as its been such a long haul with the debts and its so wearing constantly juggling and struggling....have a look on the mse boards for some support. Am going to change my co-op account just in case so I have a non linked bank account...just to be cautious! HUGE hugs for you.
Right off to babysit! With my crochet of course!

Hi everyone. No sooner do I get the internet connection up and running, than we start having power cuts; honestly, this country is so backward sometimes! In this day and age, I fail to understand how these things can go so wrong so often. It’s been really frustrating, and it means that every time I switch the computer on I’m on tenterhooks wondering how long it will all last!

Anyway, I am so sorry that I am spending so little time on here. How are you all coping with the weather? We had lots of snow overnight on Saturday and woke up to around three inches of the stuff. It snowed on and off yesterday, too, and it’s so cold that I don’t think it will be clearing any time soon.

Jean – I saw on FB that poor Lou’s mum had passed away; such very sad news. She must be feeling completely devastated.

I shall have another go at trying to get the spreadsheet on to my new update blog; I’ve not been able to spend much time on it lately what with my connection to the rest of world playing up. I hope Edna has gone away. She keeps calling in on me, too. She’s a hard one to shake off, isn’t she?

F1 and ISOM- I just want you to know that I am thinking of you both at this worrying time. There’s not much worse than financial worry because it seems to sap all your mental energy. While some people seem to go through life quite smoothly, for others it’s a different story. I do hope things work themselves out for you in time.

Pippa – I hope your OH is keeping well. My BIL is doing really well at the moment; he’s finished his latest course of chemo and, although he’s a bit weak and tender, he is able to help out in his brother’s workshop in the mornings. He’s really enjoying that but he does have to finish at lunchtime because he gets so tired. We are now waiting for his next lot of tests to see how well the chemo has gone, but the doctors remain amazed that he is still with us, so we are keeping everything crossed. He and my sister have just had their ninth grandchild, a little girl called, unusually, Story. I’ve heard the name before; I used to work with someone years ago whose mother was called Story. My sister is not sure of it but I know she’ll get used to it! Anyway, that’s another grandchild to add to their collection!

Chalky – the work is coming on, isn’t it? And well done to them for working in the cold! Hugs to your MIL; I hope she is feeling better. She must love having you around to take care of her.

Mrs Twins – that blanket is a stunner, isn’t it?

Elaine – I hope you’re sleeping better now. Belated Happy Birthday to you, too!

Anakat – I have done one teddy to send to your West Mercia Police cause, but I will try and do another one and send them both together. It’s a wonderful cause, isn’t it? Thank you so much for bringing it to our attention.

Mrs Moneypenny – hugs to the twins and to your nan.

Shaz – hugs to you. I hope things are looking up for you. Well done on the weight loss.

Seakay – good luck with the lemon curd!

Well, hugs to you all and to those I haven’t mentioned. I hope you all manage to stay warm and safe in this cold weather. The one comforting thought is that we are already into February, so spring can’t be that far away……can it?!

    KathyXX
