he just looks a bit quirky this 6ft 5in skinny youth with wild untamed hair and converse that wears black suits and ties most of the time then slips into a dinner jacket occasionally, but at least hes developed his own style that hes happy with and he does always look smart just slightly out of place sometimes

WHILE I AM AT IT..............JUST POSTED THE FOLLOWING LINKS ONTO LH and decided to copy them to here as well (I really miss Maytaurus - she was ace at hunting out stuff- I am a poor substitute)

Can't for the life of me find any decent 12" knitted squares so double up the 6" knitted squares and keep knitting till it measures 12" (I don't do much knitting - so not sure if thats the way to go).

watch out for the patterns they might be in USA terms.......conversion chart link INCLUDING THE KNITTING

    evening all

Not stopping... OH not too good he has slept most of the day, he's having a lot of trouble with a dry mouth, its because the radiotherapy destroyed the small saliva gland, he has a lot of problems with it Doctor gave him a false saliva spray and various mouthwashes but they dont really help that much. He is eating most things now though... as long as they are very moist otherwise he can't swallow them

chalky - 4 Geezer squares on their way to you.Latest blankets look good I like the blue one. The chorizo pasty looks yummm I love chorizo
mrs-m - Well done to your DS :T and yes of course you can do a well deserved proud parent shout...I'm sure I remember you saying a while ago about Grandpa's DJ and how much your DS thought of him. It's so nice to hear of a young lad thinking for himself about how he want's to dress and not following the crowd.
jean - will go take a look at the links next I fancy a change from the usual squares I do, must say though I do like the flower ones all different like a little posy

I really must get my stash sorted I reckon the woolly gremlins have been in there again ;)

Amost finished 1 memory square last night will get that done tonight, but can't remember if we are doing identical as usual 1-6" and 1-12" or just the 6" one

am sure I have posted this before, but re Geezers Squares - I know they're 6" big, but can they be knitted or crocheted? My crochet is floundering at the moment, but can rustle up a quick plain knitted square easily! And I seem to remember something about them being in sets of 4, but can't find the post (have looked at 3389...think I am going slightly mad!)

    Please let me know -

seakay - I dont want this to sound horrible but you made my day (please dont be offended its meant in a nice way iykwim) you said you were tired after the day you had - you dont know how much that means to me that Im not alone and am not making it up! i say to family and friends oh Im done in after that day and they look or say but youve only had one visitor or a few calls but it can knock me for six - I also find if i have an appt I cant do visitors as well in that week even! I hope today is easier for you and will be thinking of you xx

purpleteddybear - yes the geezers squares can be knitted or crocheted - I think chalky said if they were in quantites of 4 in same colour it was easier to match when sewing up etc - hope this helps - how are you feeling now? xx

chalky - geezers lappys are lovely you always make such a lovely job of them xxx

pippa - was sorry to hear OH has not been good - I think you and he are real troopers and I hate to hear he is suffering - big hugs to you both xx yes I also think its all go here at the mo!xx

mrs m - oh tears in the eyes what remarkable sons you have - you quite rightly are proud and we love to hear it! xx

I have sent my squares off for 1st memory blankets on LH last week - then saw they would like more for Alice - which are now duly done (well almost!)- also one for LH's blanket for Lou but they only want one 6" for that - phew we are all busy bees.

Have just updated my debt diary over on the other forum with a good ramble there - now Im off for my third cuppa (sshhhh dont tell but am not even dressed yet:D:p)

With lots of hugs to you all xx

  • Morning Ladies, PTB crochet or knitted, groups of 4 are easier to sort a pattern out - except if you have a numpty husband like mine who sees the the packet sitting and posts it before I even got to check it.......doh! Cold and bitter morning but its warm and cosy in the house and that's all I care about right at this minute
Love and cuddles to you all, will be back later.
