  • Another numpty question.....

Am now knocking out Geezer Squares like no tomorrow (have finally cracked the art of simple granny squares again!), and am doing them in sets of 4, but can I remember where to send them? Can I bubbles!

    I swear it's a combination of:
    (a) medication
    (b) lack of caffeine - I can't have caffeine whilst on this medication!
    (c) being back at work
    (d) being generally numpty like

So, can someone please enlighten me, then I can get them off to their rightful place!

    Thanks lots in advance,

    Dawn xx

    Hi Dawn,

    Crochet Terms
US = SC UK = DC
US = DC UK = TR

I used to copy US patterns into a word processing document & do a couple of "find & replace" actions to sort them out. I've now got used to the terminology & my head just converts them automatically.
If you try this - remember ALWAYS do the DC to TR conversion FIRST
Let me know if you want me to convert something for you.

    luv

    Hi everyone

I am still getting connection problems here which must be due to the weather; we now have more snow on top of the snow from last week which has frozen solid, so getting out and about is tricky, which makes it even more annoying that I keep losing my connection! I have been doing a lot of baking, sorting through cupboards, and so on; just shows what you can do when you can't get on to the internet!

Anyway, I have done the latest update but I'm still having problems posting it on to my new blog, but I shall keep trying - connection permitting - and I'm sure I'll get there in the end.

I have a lot going on this morning (visitors and shopping - lovely visitors, not so nice shopping because it's only for food!) so I will catch up with you all properly later, when I've had time to read the posts I've missed.

Take care, and I hope you are all managing to keep warm and safe.

  • your 3 ½ days work sounds like a great idea to me....gives you far more time for fun stuff - hope that you can keep that up for months and months...there again if you only work a wee while you only get a wee bit of dosh?
Prfungi.......I tried the word doc one a couple of weeks ago - forgetting that if you don't do the DC's first then go and do the SC into DC it all goes to RATS........Fiona (Fee Fee and Helpers) did the conversion for me in the end.....now you have put it in black and white I will write it down and pop it somewhere really safe (where I can find it again?).
Mioliere - hope you have a lovely time with your visitors, shopping is a chore but necessary if you want to eat!
If you all want to see the latest figures (and check I have been getting them right too), the link is on MY Name ........until such times as we fix it back up to Kathy.
Have a great day.....I had a wonderful surprise late last night my in box had 22 emails (some just click backs to messages) all from MAYTAURUS, so I am up early to read them all and take in all her news - will let you know how she is doing a bit later...I have the tea and have let the dogs out for a run, so no interruptions for a wee while.

havent caught up yet asim just back from the hospital and i wanted to share my news with you all
im alright it was another cyst, they decided safer not to drain this one as it would be too painful/difficult given the size and position so ive been discharged and told to just chek things as normal and keep an eye out for changes.
and other best news and proudest parent shout,
my eldest DS is officially the young citizen of the year almost cried when he went up to collect his trophy and certificate im proud of all my kids anyway but you just take for granted that they do what all kids do so i didnt think he was different to any other teenager so it was really lovley to see him getting acknowleged for being a good lad. the wild hair was under control as well he nipped in the barbers on the way home from school for a trim and his gf tamed him with straightners before the award. if photos get posted anywhere ill do a link. sorry waffling now arent i but it was a toss up which news felt the best.

really hope all are well, im off to catch up now
    hugs
