Shaz big hugs for you...hope the new meds help. You sound as if you are generally happier in your new home and great to learn that you are also making friends locally. Fingers crossed for new meds and good news that you are seeing cpn regularly..even better that noone was injured and can totally understand why you feel nervous in a car.
F1 why are you worried about the surgery? Please dont :) I have been overweight all my life and it has affected me since the age of about 4! After nearly 40 years of pain, anguish, torment, stife, bullying, nastyness and general hassle I have come to the conclusion that enough is enough. I have tried everything that I can think of and now hold my hand up and admit defeat. My only regret is that I dont have the money (about 10000!) to have it now as feel every day without it is in some ways a day lost....of course there is a risk involved, as with all surgery, but for me its worth it. Ive discussed it, thought on it and investigated for years and the time has come. Am going to my first support group this evening, with more than a little trepedation, but also feeling positive and empowered (spot the social worker lol!).
Chalky hope all well with operation scaffold; still not 100% sure whats being done but sure it will be worth it! Any news of William and mum? Hope they are all settling in to new family life...
Roaming long time no see and hope you are ok.
Psso hope that youre not in the horrid hole and are instead enjoying some hooky fun!
Mrs M hope that you also are ok and that lump vanishes soon without the need for further draining etc...
How are lovely new people getting on with projects? Ive not done any hookyness or anything with wool for that matter for a few days. Bad girl. Dont know how much charity stuff I will get done for a bit as want to do stuff for me for once as have nothing that Ive made since I started! Possibly selfish but sure you will forgive me :)
Miol hope that you are enjoying time with family and return to tales of love and enjoyment.
Ooo salome a wedding! how exciting!
Right off to do my ravensky city before the off! wish me luck!

Hello all! Just catching up as no access over Christmas and New Year and now have loads of emails to sift through.
Chalky, where do we send Geezer squares while you are not at home? Could you PM me the address?
Socky - what a traumatic thing to happen! So glad no one badly hurt, I'd be absolutely terrified!
ISOM - good luck with your surgery research. Seems ages since I saw you and Jo.

    Love and hugs to all!

Well we are watching Mama Mia on 2 chair bases and our bed is left upstairs and it is absolutely chucking it down!! Luckily roof still on at present and scaffolding only up to the first floor!
We are probably going to be at DMIL's for 12 weeks. During that time our possessions ( not woolly stuff of course) will be in a container and I am quietly excited but very relieved it is DD1'S fiancee and DOH who are doing the work. They keep promising me all will be well and I can not get over how generous they are being to make our house ready for the next period of our life! DD1 was here all day as well on her day off lugging and organising etc -- and ooohhing and ahhing about all her childhood items coming out of the loft etc!

The thought of some kissing the geezers always comes upon me in the early part of the New Year -- If you want to join in please do -- the more the merrier! I will as always put piccies on as each lappy is completed.
    Guidelines

All completed Lappys will be given to Charity
6" Squares worked in knit or crochet.
    Double Knitting yarn.
Sets of 4 with a theme of pattern or colour/shades make placing and finished lappy look really effective.

DOH will be working every day at the house so usual address is fine. Please pm me if you need it!

Thank you all for kinf enquiries about William and DDIL -- all well -- I am going to visit the week after next so of course I am looking forward to that -- I think of them all the time!

Well lovely "friends" please have a hug if you need one and thank you one and all for just being here and such a support not only just to to me but always for each and every one of us.
Try and do a good deed every day.

THATS FOR KATHY......DUE BACK TODAY x

On the case Chalky and parcel will be away to you shortly. Sorry I have been a bit lax lately, major family crisis gone just the tail ends of it all to sweep away into the sands of time. I did do the update when you posted Chalky and Toots but only Kathy can pop it onto the bloggie - must also say it looks a wee bit sad with only two items on it but no doubt we will all soon remedy that one.

Lots of love cuddles and positive vibes out to all of you, I know you all need them to some extent. Will try and get a chance today to get caught up properly with the forums till then take care in all the rotten weather.

going to have a good tidy up today, i say that to myself everyday lol, but one day it will happen.
a friend where i live has asked me to knit him a short sleeved jumper, i think he means a tanktop to wear over his shirts.
i have a new printer, and if i can manage to find cables as it didnt come with any, then i will print some patterns from the net to show him tonight.
    my update
    3 baby hats,

its not much, but its a start

    big hugs to all
    love shaz xxx
loves to knit and crochet for others
  • Shaz - that's more than I have managed so far this year, so I will go and add it to the spreadsheet right now - makes it look even better, just read you were in a car shunt over the holidays - I hope you are all safe and sound - it will certainly have given you a fright about getting into cars and driving again, but that will pass in time. Glad to see you have a new printer - how come no cables with it? GGRR...perhaps you have some in the boxes you packed up for the move......does this mean you haven't got all the boxes open just yet, only the knitting/crochet ones? Ha Ha
Off for a coffee back in a bit.
LINK TO CURRENT SPREADSHEET....TILL Kathy comes back and moves it PLEASE...https://docs.google.com/spreadsheet/ccc?key=0AhOgVamMPLdkdEVSdjR3VnBPSk9SbW81TnU0d1ZsYWc
