Seems to be a good year for big babies...a girl from school just had a 10ib one!! oww! Hope all babies are happy and for poorly ones that they get better soon!

Just popped in to say hello

Hope you all had a nice evening, spending it exactly as you wanted
We had a nice relaxing time catching up on TV and a couple of DVD's.I did a few more hexagons, and OH just chilled it was sooo relaxing.
Had a few early new year phone calls and txts, I think everyone knew we would'nt be late to bed, OH needs his sleep

Off to clear my figures for the start of the New Year now

:hello: Hello everyone and Happy new Year wishes to everyone.
Soon be Easter - loads of easter eggs on display in the little T*sco I popped into yesterday :eek:

Haven`t been here lately for various reasons, work,black cloud , babysitting etc and no wooly stuff to report either

Thought I`d do a bit of crochet the other day but I couldn`t find my crochet hook :think: Well, I know where it is but I couldn`t find it.

It`s in a Lakeland bag with a preemie blanket which I`m crocheting the edging around so come on girls - `fess up who has it ? I`ve looked in all the usual places but no joy, so the woolly fairy must have sneaked in and pinched it - or maybe it`s just under the mountain of stuff in the corner of my bedroom.

New Years resolutions

1) get all the ^^^ stuff disposed of by the end of January, either tidied away or ditched if no use for anything. Don`t hold your breath though...........
2) order a new Clover soft touch crochet hook as a reward for doing the above, so the sooner I get going the sooner I`ll get my reward

Off to have some lunch and then do some more hunting for that elusive blue bag.

Just popping in to wish everyone a Happy New Year. We spent new year's eve at my sister's, buffet, drinks and games on the x-box (kinect) with her children. Good fun. No hangovers today fortunately!!!!!
The dinner is all prepared -we don't eat until 4.30 p.m. on new year's day - usually not worth it before then!! So I think I will have an hour to myself with the needles and perhaps a sherry and some chocolate.
Elaine - I have a Lakeland bag too, but sorry your hook isn't in it........

happy new year everyone
spent yesterday with friends, who had invited me over for dinner, she is a fantastic cook, and we were all stuffed at the end of it. they also had a friend staying with them over new year who was going back home yesterday so i went along also for a car ride,
we took there friend home, had a coffee, and had only just started on our journey home, when another car drove straight into us, and pushed us across the motorway towards the central reservation, luckily my friend reacted quickly and managed to steer the car away from the railings,
but the other car had lost control and smashed straight into it. there car was a real mess but luckily nobody was hurt. the motorway was shut for a wee while while police and a recovery vehicle moved there car. then the police questioned everyone and details tken, so that added an extra hour to the journey, have never been so relieved to be back home again.
now my friends have to sort out the insurance to sort the damage to their car
what a start to the new year, hope the rest of it is less eventful
