good that you gotback safely isom, sorry the soundproofing hasnt worked. in my old house we used soundproofing boards, they made a massive difference, but didnt completely block the noise, its
horrible when neighbours make so much noise.

    Morning all

Very wet and windy here today, been a bad few days weather wise all told

Just seen an article on TV about metal theft...from a church leaving the cost to put things right at around £30,000.00 it makes me so  it's bad enough stealing from anywhere but a church have these people no morals

We had a very quiet Christmas day as Mum is ill so she stayed at home, took her Lunch over to her and have popped in a few times since and rang her every day to make sure she is ok, OH has kept away at her insistence because of her cold.
We went to DS2/DIL's for lunch on Boxing day, my goodness does she feed us up phewwww couldn't move I was so full, it was a lovely meal and OH ate quite a bit so that was good.
DGS had so many presents he was sooo excited but he said he didn't see Father Christmas :D

Finished another cowl last night this time for 'me' I started making some flowers what for no idea yet but something will come to mind I daresay

Welcome home toots, salome and ISOM, what a little smasher baby gilberto is he is gorgeous grandma chalky, sorry the insulation didn't help ISOM, nice to see you may we have missed your lovely posts x
boult hows the knitting coming along?

I feel very lazy today so I aim to do...nothing... how nice that sounds

  • Afternoon all; Christmas sounds lovely pippa...great that oh is eating but sorry that mum couldnt see you all because of her cold. Hope she gets better soon.
Socky have you started on your cardi? I am still projectless and will need to have a hunt for something...am debating a ripple blanket as good way of using up wool.
Cousin is coming today which will be lovely; we'll have a natter, swap pressies and eat some crumpets. Havent seen her for a while so really looking forward to seeing her. Re the insulation its not for me its to try and appease my neighbor but hasnt worked clearly but thats all I will be doing now having done numerous things over the years to keep the noise down but to no avail...its not that we are noisy its just she hates ANY noise...right on to the next burst of clearing up...house still looks pretty bad but slowly getting there and have to be in most of tomorrow as the phone engineer is coming to hopefully fix the phone...
Before I forget thank you to all those who sent ecards, real cards and messages...very much appreciated. May how are you doing? As said..we miss you but I know that things are a struggle with health etc so when you get a moment please do come say hi!

Shaz i hope you will soon be able to get that knitting started - sounds lovely - well done to Daniel!!

ISOM how annoying - as long as your not doing anything noisy before 7am and after 10pm they cant complain - unless of course they have had to call the police to your rioteous parties..........................no I didnt think so!

shezmit I have never done any preemie stuff so will be pleased to have a look and see if I can at least do something - is it 20,000 over the year?

Aunty Crafty I am sorry you got the storm after me it was a doozy!!!! hope you survived with no damage. I was at DB's and we had no power on Christmas night - we did just manage to eat our turkey before it went off!!!

Its been very calm here today - actually quite pleasant - not that cold - an odd shower but ok - I wonder whats in store next!

Hello one and all -- I have just caught up with everyone's news and I hope you will forgive me if I touch the proverbial ground running so I would worry if I missed anyone out so send a very big group hug to you all

Well we have spent the day with DMIL sorting out her house after her Christmas visitors!
Ours is next tomorrow! I have made what seems like gallons of soup and carved meat etc -- so its all tucked away in the freezer. I hate wasting it when half the world didn't have any treats at all!

William is a little above his birth weight and both DDIL and William have been signed off the midwife's list! DDIL is feeling stronger every day -- thank you for your good wishes.

I hope everyone who is feeling below par, worried or anxious may soon feel better -- How are Lily and Lola I wonder?

Little woolly stuff going on here at the moment but will get going soon.
Try and do a good deed every day.
