hi sock-knitter - good to see you - sorry to hear that the boys will be missing but you going to the indian with friends tomorrow and Daniel sounds really nice and different oh and a big :bdaycake:HAPPY BIRTHDAY :bdaycake:for yesterday - Im sorry that I missed saying yesterday - lovely woolly stuff we will have to see a pic when you have finished your cardigan - if we dont speak again have a lovely day tomorrow - keep smiling xxxx
embrace - yes I have a round set of looms - have made some hats on them and DS likes making little hats with them (embarresed to say they were one of those things that I wanted desperately and it has gone in the cupboard!) - making hats for next years Operation Christmas Child or bigger ones for adults would be a great idea although I appreciate there is so much more you can do with them (I have not even tried!) - would love to hear what you have done with them (might give me the enthusiasm to try again with them!) xx

Afternoon all
shaz - belated happy birthday to you :bdaycake: sounds like you are in for a lovely woolly Christmas
chalky - what a lovely armful, he is just gorgeous, please give him a big cuddle for me xx
embrace - I have a loom knitter I use for the Sailors hats, I also tried a baby hat on the smallest loom, and it was done in no time. For the Sailors hats I use quite thick wool either chunky or Aran but if I haven't any of those I use 2 strands of DK in different colours usually, and it gives a nice tweedy effect.
f1 - Oh is really looking forward to Dinner tomorrow, lots of things on the menu (as we all do this time of year);) so he will be able to eat something even if he has just a little of everything
Pam - how exciting a new grandchild and at Christmas to :xmassmile
kinsey - ooo yes we had a whale of a time with DGS he is really growing up now a proper little boy, he wanted to help his Daddy paint the kitchen door  so a compromise was made....and DGS was painted his magic paint book :rotfl:
toots - love your Christmas post thank you :rudolf:
Had a phone call from Mum earlier she isn't feeling well has a cold and upset stomach so she won't be coming tomorrow, I said we will take her a Dinner over, I don't like the idea of her on her own but she is adamant she doesn't want to pass her cold on to OH, so maybe that's for the best
Everything clean and tidy potatoes peeled vegs prep'd so I can relax with my knitting tonight...wonder if there's anything halfway decent on TV later ?
Off to dish up dinner now so .....
:xmastree: :snow_grin HAPPY CHRISTMAS TO YOU ALL :santa2::xmassmile

Hi
Everyone have a blessed day today :-)
I touched back down on British soil yesterday. Didn't sleep much on the plane and jet lag caught up with me pretty quick as well, was asleep by 9pm last night lol.
America was great. Lovely to see the grandgirls, my daughter and son in law :-)
Congrats Chalky on becoming a granny :-) William looks delightful, and I'm so pleased everything is well now for you son and daughter in law :-)
Welcome Embrace. You'll enjoy us here. It's a lovely place to be :-) I have looms, but haven't used them properly yet. Hope to some day lol. I've got pattern books etc to do some stuff, just too much on my needles at the moment :-) Just bought some patterns back with me from the USA :-) The looms are very popular over there,
Anyway. Have a blessed and prosperous day. Hugs to all in need ((((hugs)))) Love you all.
