Mioliere have a huge squishy hug and a dollop of strength for good measure - I dont know how you cope with all that - i would probably have murdered someone by now!!! Just do the important things that you need for the trip - the rest can wait til you return.
MrsMP I am also sorry to hear that things are not going well for you at the moment - you are in my thoughts and prayers and I hope this blip will be short-lived.

Pippa i wish I had time to do cowls before mext weekend!!! you are making me itchy to try but I really dont have the time or the patience to try circular needles - I did knit a lopi with them once but didnt really enjoy using them! the cowls sound fabulous.
Its been a constructive day here - my friend's husband was here this afternoon building a wardrobe and is oming tomorrow to do the matching chest of drawers - they will get some of the excess clutter sorted and make room for my stash!!!

Chalky no news I take it? Did you sample the bubbly?!

Psso how you feeling?
Theres a few we've not heard from in a while so gentle waves to people buckling under the weight of day to day life plus Christmas or just feeling rubbish. Poor mums got a rotten cold and infection plus had a long fit the other day so is feeling generally rubbish...thankfully she has time to recover before we go but just hoping that she doesent give it to me first!!
Am on a cowl here but taking a while as not done it as just too tired...will do a bit tonight..winter definately here - we had snow today and temo dropped quite a bit!Nerd no 109 Long haulers supporters DFW #1! Even in the darkest moments, love and hope are always possible.0 -

PIPPA...yes and I haven't done a stroke....oh I did wash the insides of the windows but as its been lashing down again all day gave up on the ousides.
the robin didn't die and left me in peace and quiet - eventually - but what a scare that gave me - I really shouldn't get in such a pickle about them. Hey Ho we all have something we ain't too sure about in our lives mine just happens to be flying things!
ISOM get that house sorted out so you can have a proper restful holiday, love to you mum and hope she is soon well again
TOOTS - can we send you our spare stash to try out in the new wardrobe and chesticles of drawers??? You might have to run out to Lidl and buy more stock to ensure that the shelves are all full up
I am really late tonight and should now go and get a shower and get into my bed, so that I can be up early in the morning and get stuck into the cleaning YUK......providing the boat is sailing as there is a bit of a blow in the channel tonight - still he is an old salt and will likely sleep like a babe, due home sometime tomorrow afternoon. So I will love you all and leave you till tomorrow.
SHAZ if you are reading any of these I do so hope you are settled in snug and comfy in your new home.

Hi everyone
Mrs Moneypenny - thinking of you and your family, and definitely saying prayers.
Elaine - hope you are feeling better.
ISOM - I hope your mum is feeling better now.
Chalky - I keep thinking of you and how your heart must be skipping a beat every time you think of the forthcoming event! I bet you're so glad you'll be back at home soon! Please wish DDIL (and DS, of course), the very best of luck from me!
Jean - I hope you've managed to achieve all you wanted to before DH comes home! It's been pouring with rain here, too, for days now.
Tootifrooti - I think the best way to celebrate new bedroom furniture is to buy a whole lot of new clothes!
Thanks for all the sympathy re the red tape! We were actually successful in registering my friend's car, although it took a lot of running about and almost the whole day because everything grinds to a halt here at midday. To get anywhere here you have to provide copies of practically every document you've ever owned, to prove who you are and where you live, so it's a big work-up! The process involves gathering all the documents needed, and photocopying them, visiting the Prefecture for the actual registration, paying €213,50 (when we'd been told it would be €117!), taking the paper they give you back to the MOT place, so that they can amend their records, then getting new number plates made up (another €40), then emailing the car's insurers so that they can update their records and send you another insurance note, from which you take a little ticket to place in the windscreen. Then you are finally driving a French-legal car! It's surprising how many ex-pats here drive on UK plates; you're supposed to get the car re-registered within about three months (I think) of exporting the car, but I think people get put off by the palaver as well as the cost, because it usually includes things like having to change the headlights to LHD, and so on, and it can end up costing a small fortune. Still, I think it's worth it, because cars here, both new and second-hand, are so expensive. We saw a van the other day that was exactly the same as the one that DH paid £550 for in the UK, and the sale price was €5,500!
Anyway, we didn't have time to call into the water board (to discuss the huge bills that have been charged for water and sanitation at the holiday home we look after), so we hope to do that this afternoon. I must also make an appointment with the hairdresser, as well. As we are leaving here a week today, it feels like there is still a mountain to climb until we're ready!
My search for a dress for the Christening was a complete waste of time. I took a couple of hours out to go looking, and I could not believe how dull everything is in the shops here. Practically every dress I looked at was either grey, black or beige, and I wanted something with at least a bit of colour! I shall look when I go back to the UK because I'll have more time, and probably more choice, but I'll pack a couple of things in case I don't find something.
Anyway, I'm off for a shower.
I hope you all have a great day.

Mrs m - my thoughts and prayers are with you - so sorry to hear things are not good xx
isom - love to Mum - hope she is feeling a bit better today xx hugs to you too xx
tooti- have i missed some wool at Lidls - over on LHs someone posted a set of photos of some lovely wool not sure whether it was Lidls or Poundstretcher come to think of it but it looked nice and am very jealous that a Kemps order has been put in but you do deserve it - good to hear that you can be at home and wont need to think of hospital for another few weeks xx
chalky - welllllllllllllll now we know how you keep Mr Chalky happy whilst you craft away:rotfl::D:rotfl: ps thanks for tip will remember it for future use
:D xx wondering if there is any news on Gilberto ? xxx ps the cowl/headband is great thanks for the pattern am logging that one
kathy - oooo one week but still so much for you to do - take good care xxx
roamin - oh you do make me laugh you really do - all your lovely tales mind you I do think chalkys suggestion is great - as for your Robin problem I sympathise I have same problem -anything with wings or that flaps! my neighbour has chickens, ducks, geese in garden (cant go in there) and in her front room has a parrot (:eek::eek::eek:) which is now in an open cage for want of a better word so is always out - you have to squeeze past its branch things to get into living room - its pecked me once and I swear it gives me the evil eye - she has to clip its wings now and again so it does not fly and Im always worried its not been done and it will take off - popped in once and it was hopping around the floor - to say the sweat was pouring off me is an understatement! - Im not the only one who is petrified of it though! xx
psso - hope you are feeling better - big hugs xx
I really dont know where the days are going but I think I have a "neckwarmer" addiction which wants to stop me from getting on - have made two for presents need to make another one (pattern from Simply Knitting last issue - dont think I can type the pattern out can I?) - plus love chalky's pattern she posted - have also started knitted Ugg Boots - King Cole pattern that I have had for months - I dont think Im going to get them done for DOH to take to my Mum's on saturday for my nephew though
I dont know whether any of you have been watching "Kirsty's Homemade Britain" and then "Kirstys Homemade Christmas" but there is some lovely ideas (I did sneak her book into the order from the Book People for myself - as they say "one for you one for me!) so if i start in January I think I could make most of Christmas 2012 :rotfl::rotfl::rotfl: - and if you think Im serious you dont know me very well - my new years resolution is not to say "oh im going to do .........." as it never gets done!
Had better stop waffling DOH has his christmas party tonight so "may" be home early to make himself beautiful - he was very impressed with how I had ironed his dress shirt and said I can tell you used to iron for a profession - he had better be happy it took me nearly 15 minutes - and here is one for all you who hate i*****g guess where I found it - im ashamed to say at the bottom of the ironing basket :eek: which means it has been in there since either Christmas 2010 or I think he may have worn it April - still awful of me to have had it in the basket for so long! and now I have admitted how much I dont do ironing!
Love and hugs to all and special thoughts and hugs to all those with too much on their plate and the MIA's xxxxxxDebt Diary: Im not going to be an Ostrich anymore -LBM - 16/1/12 /0
