  • Kathy at least you have managed to get one job totally sorted and I am sure you will chip away at the rest before you go. I am resisting buying new clthes until I have lost some more weight!!!!

f1 I am not sure if you missed lidls wool or maybe it wasa regional thing - it wasnt very inspiring so maybe I missed it by a week - I cant remember when I saw it was coming!!! They had a textured wool for want of a better word - it had bits in it!!! but the colours were dull and it was a bit tooooooooo hairy for my liking. I really shouldnt be buying any more but like you I am thinking 2012 not next week!!! And if we have a bad spell of weather then i will have a variety of things to do. Thanks for the reminder about Kirstie's programmes I was going to watch them on iplayer. and well done on ironing the shirt - I think you will find that you are not alone with things lurking in the bottom of ironing baskets - been there done that and got the video, t-shirt and dvd!!!!!!!!

Jean - hope OH got home ok

was out with my carer for shopping and it was baltic and very slippy - we went round one corner sideways and she wasnt driving badly at all - it was just sheets of ice in places.

I am having to admit defeat with all things woolly at present but I will get there.

Love hugs and positives vibes for all those who are struggling

    toots xx
    Peace will be mine

hi all - grrrr been up since just gone 5.30 this morning - DOH got called in to work as he is on call this weekend - i woudnt mind but someone else is meant to be on call until 6.00am but they "decided" not to answer the phone!!!!!
DOH and DS are meant to be going to my parents this weekend to drop presents off and as he is still at work I doubt whether they will go - which does not leave much time in the next week for him to go - I can see him having to go on Christmas Eve big grrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr as this means our food shopping will be delayed

As you can probably tell Im not in good mood :mad::mad::mad::mad::mad::mad::mad::mad:

So having been sitting here trying to finish off my blanket strip for LH now DS is in a very bad mood as well - oh happy days

I hope everyone is well - sending you all happy hugs - will pop back later when everything has calmed down here xxx

Also Some very sad news over on LH - I dont know how many of you used Mayflower's patterns but she sadly lost her battle with cancer this week - so very sad - a very talented lady who made the most lovely knitting and crochet patterns and as Ive seen even though she was poorly still continued to contribute so much xx

ISOM sorry to see you are poorly - hope you will soon be feeling much better - enjoy your nice long break from work too - soundproofing WOW!!! thats a big job and what an upheavel - hope you can enjoy your trip away without thinking about it too much. Thanks for asking - I am not too bad but maybe not as good as I would have liked - but I am on the go and thats all that matters and for which I am very grateful.

MrsMP continued thoughts and prayers and hoping that things are working out better for you all now.

    Chalky
are you on the way now - take care - check in soon xxxxx

f1 oh poor you - I suspect yours is not the only household with bad moods just now - its such a difficult stressful time - I hope you manage to get your schedule re-organised successfully. Thank you for the sad news from LH - I didnt know the lady but my thoughts and prayers are with her family and friends at this sad time.

Thinking of all the others and hope they are just busy with preps.
Its bright but white with frost and very chilly - minus 2 I think - I havent been out apart from feeding the birds I have managed to get a bit more wrapping done and discovered a present a I have forgotten to buy so a quick trip into town on monday will be needed so I can get it posted.

    love and hugs to everyone

    Part of the Furniture
    :santa2: Evening all

Very cold here and so icy this morning had to scrape the car screens before we could go down to Mum's.
She had her do last Sunday as it was the only day everyone could get here but it is her actual birthday today, she has had sooo many cards and presents she was quite bemused by it all, I said well you're only 90 once you know she said I don't feel 90 in my head but when I try and stand up I feel 100 :snow_laug

Went to Jo my friends after Mums and came home minus 1 cowl...I finished it while I was there and she kept eyeing it up so...weeell..it is Christmas after all :xmassmileshe was chuffed to bits.

chalky - hope little gilberto held on for you :D
f1 - I know just how you feel OH many years ago used to do emergency duty once a month and it was a nightmare...ok if the other duty officer did their bit but it never seemed to work out that way:mad: I hope everything works out for you with the pressy distribution
mrs-m - you are in my thoughts and prayers x yes we may all be virtual friends but we are all very caring, supportive friends:A
ISOM - hope you feel better soon, if I don't manage to get in again have a wonderful time and you and Mum just chill and enjoy yourselves
psso - hope you're feeling better now
toots - how are you after your latest jaunt to the hospital, not overdoing it I hope?
kathy - you will do much better over here so much more to choose from :) and maybe a friend to keep you company while you shop and stop for a cup of good old PG :snow_laug
jean - hows things in your neck of the woods..any more breakages?;)

I too was very sad to read Tom's post about his Mum (Mayflower)
she was such a kind and helpful lady, cancer is such a cruel disease.

No guess's what I will be knitting tonight... yep... thats right another cowl, I am hooked on this soft chunky yarn and 6mm circular needle, once I am over the first row and put the twist in it's all plain sailing, helps being all in garter stitch I think, it seems to make the random effect look better :xmassmile

Well better go get food on the table before Strictly starts
