Hi everyone and thanks for all your kind thoughts. I am still feeling very bunged up. The doctor has given me some allergy tablets that have almost put me into a coma and, to be honest, made me feel even worse, so I've found some Piriton (thanks F1 for reminding me about it!) in my medicine cupboard and will try that from now on.
I hope you are all keeping well.
We leave for the UK exactly three weeks tomorrow! All of a sudden it will be two weeks, then one week, then lift-off! I've done a bit more wrapping up so I'm well on the way now. I just want to get this awful allergy sorted then I shall feel a bit more energetic, I think.
Chalky - the lappy is lovely. I love the colours!
Pippa - hope your OH is doing well.
I hope to start another homeless strip this evening; the last few evenings I haven't even been able to keep my eyes open, which I put down to the tablets, not the allergy!
Anyway, I am feeling the need for a cuppa so I will love you and leave you for now!

Hello and love to one and all -- Very sad day here as our old next door neighbour who helped us so much died this morning! He was a lovely man and his wife is in total shock -- life is hard soemtimes isn't it!
Anyway, on the Crafty front I am having an obsessive few days on those pretty ornaments Jean posted!! I was even awake in the night thinking about them!! How sad is that!
Love to one and all xxTry and do a good deed every day.0 -

Hi
Hugs chalky and moilere.
Thanks for your offer f1 widow :-) When I take my gloves in for dad I'll ask if they'd like a supply of woolies :-) I did think about scraves, but they could be risky. A lot of the patients aren't 'with it' and might try to strangle themselves or something !!!!!!! The carers do put shawls, and blankets around the patients shoulders, which is good to see :-) One old chappy there pulls his jumper up over his head, and sits all day like that. Say's it's too light, he likes the dark ????? A carer will come and pull it back down again, but in minutes, he's stuck his head back in it lol. He's a real sweetie. When he isn't hiding his head he just sits and smiles at everyone.
Have a blessed and prosperous day. Hugs to all who need one. ((((hugs)))) Love you all

:lovethoug Hello one and all and lots of love tucked in -- Well December is upon us and I know it is a very emotive time for many so iff you are feeling your hands are overflowing or just a bit sad a big hug from here!
Been busy baking this morning -- biscuits and cake for the neighbour whose husband died as so many people are calling to offer their condolences!
My poor DOH has taken to his bed as his disc popped out again yesterday and after a bout at the Osteopath this morning he was feeling more than delicate!!
DMIL arrives at Alicante tomorrow so I may have to drive and pick her up!!! Hmm- probably a good thing to do but I have never done it yet!
So all we need now is for little Gilberto to arrive early and our hands really will be full.
Craftwise I am having a little obsession with Jeans beautiful garlands and have made some cards with them as the people at Yoga asked for some Christmas cards and the pennies go to GAPA -- Grandparents looking after their Grandchildren whose parents have died of Aids.
What a thought!
Anyway must take DOH a cuppa or else he will never sleep tonight. xxTry and do a good deed every day.0 -
afternoon all
just a quick post...our week so far...and its GOOD NEWS...
there is a way to go yet but positive vibes from all concerned
Monday the oncologist was really pleased with OH, he has told him what to expect in the next few weeks so OH is prepared for that, he has now signed him off from the oncology unit and passed him back to the consultant Mr.B the surgeon who operated in the first place.
Mr.B is very pleased with how OH is healing, the ulcers are still painful but some have almost healed, he is a bit concerned about OH's ear but said to wait 4 weeks to see if the problem clears up.
Off to do something to eat now shepherds pie and loads of veg as per instructions from OH :rotfl:
Tonight I want to have a look through some patterns to see if I can find one for childrens headbands....
not read back yet will try later
love to all
Anne
