Hi
Love the lappy Chalky :-)
Thank you for offering to make hats for the old peoples home, Chalky and Pippa. When I go next I'll ask, or leave a note if I don't find the right person to corner about it :-)
They're very good there, and I expect it just hasn't occured to them that a hat and or gloves could make a difference to the old folks heat. Either that, or no ones approached them about it, and I suppose to stock numerous amounts of hats and gloves would not be good budget wise for them ????? They do make sure each patient has a blanket though, some have two. One round their bodies, the other over their laps. I made dad a lappy one when he first went in, and was still sitting out most of the day. Now he's mainly in bed, because he's too weak to stay up for long, but I notice they cover him with it while in bed, when the weathers chilly.
I think what'll I'll do is make his gloves, take them in and show whoever needs to be shown, and ask if they'd like a stock to use, and I'll mention about hats then as well :-)
The old folk are so sweet. Most have dementia, and just sit there in their silent world :-(
I sorted through all my projects and have decided I have too many in the go, and there's tons more I want to do, so I'm concentrating on getting three done and finished, spending an allotted time on each. I had a good day yesterday and got a fair amount done. I manged to get three small squares done for a crochet lappy I'm making for my next dorr neighbour, who's in a wheel chair. Two big squares for a throw I'm crocheting for my bed, and 6 rows of a loopy scarf I'm making for myself, which last week was nearly unpicked because it was getting on my nerves lol. Now I don't have much left to do, I'm over halfway their. So I'm pleased with my results :-)
Today has started well. Got loads of housey things done, and school ready for my homeshcooling daughter. Just going to finish up on here, then off to get on with some of my projects :-)
Have a blessed and prosperous day. Hugs to all in need ((((hugs)))) Love you all.

Evening lovelies! Good news to report at last! After my disasterous and very cross making day last week there was a complete turnaround, an apology and explanation so all good; even better was that I had what is effectively my annual review and all positive so that really is a weight off my mind and good news indeed. Now feel Im on the home stretch with worky stuff and that I will soon be able to put the bad year of years behind me! yahoo!
Good that DH can eat some things Pippa; how did the treatment go?
Still praying for you all as know that so many people have health issues at the moment of one form or another and that some struggle emotionally at this time of the year especially...Christmas is a lovely time of year but also emphasises the losses, sadness of family dysfunction etc ..
Roaming hope DH got off ok and that you are able to have some rest (if such a thing exists with all that red tape!) as well. How are you feeling?
Miol how many sleeps now?!
Chalky yoga sounds very calming...I used to do it and never forget the end bit when people relaxed all sorts of muscles with varying sound effects that just make me want to giggle! Love the blanket!
Salome lovely to see you! How is your Cardiff boy?!
F1 how are you getting on?
Mrs Twins I use collect + and never had issue with them-cheap and reliable!
Got my LH secret santa off today...hope the recipient likes it!
Right off to do absolutely nothing! Have been making one of these
http://www.pickles.no/wonderful-wreath/
for a friend so lots and lots of balls made...my arms have been killing and my hands a bit itchy so hoping I now have enough! Balls all over the place there are lol!
Strike day tomorrow!! Apparently David Cameron thinks were irresponsible....lovely for him with his vast salary, mega expenses and life that bears no resemlence to us mere mortals so my response is "am I bovvered?"...having said that I hate striking but will respect the choice of the majority and enjoy the day off!Nerd no 109 Long haulers supporters DFW #1! Hi
ISOM My Cardiff boy is doing well thanks :-) Now working in a posh watch shop in the older St David's Shopping Centre, and enjoying it loads. Beginning to sound a bit Welsh as well lol. Glad you had good reports and positivness at work :-)
I'm on strike as well, don't know what David Cammeron would say about that, but my homeschooling pupil told me I could go on strike, so she can have a day with friends :-) lol. I don't mind, lot's of crafty bits to get on with :-)
Have a blessed and prosperous day. Hugs to all in need of one ((((hugs)))) Love you all.

Just popping on to update everyone re sock knitter - the move was successfully achieved; decorator will be finished today & the carpet fitting is next week, then the task of unpacking will really begin. Shaz is missing the chat and is thinking of you all.
HUGS to all,

Hello lovely ladies, how are we all?
salome - I will quite happily make a couple of hats as well or wrist warmers - maybe not in a hurry but Im sure they will need them ongoing- they say you loose a huge percentage of warmth via the head and Ive also noticed that when I used to be cold at work (no heating and big roller door left open aarrggh) I used to keep my scarf on and it is surprising how warm that kept me xx
chalky - lovely blanket (and teddy!) xx
prfungi - hellllllooooo thanks for letting us know about sock-knitter - its lovely to see you - albeit - supporting a cold! - come back and see us soon xx
kathy - I cant help thinking you are terribly run down - poor thing another cold - do you take piriton for any allergy type things? can you get it in France?? - take care - oranges, hot toddy all those things and some TLC xx
roamin - still dashing about - hope hubby gets off ok? dont you want a holiday too? or is it more of a holiday while he is away????:D xx
pippa - hope you get on ok at hospital - let us know xx
Yes I am feeling a little better and have been making myself get on with some jobs - cobwebs - these are a phenomenum I cant understand I looked up in the living yesterday to be greeted by the most amazing "net curtain" stretching from one end of room to the other - I swear it was not there the other day - was thinking of spraying silver and using as a christmas dec! - DS is pestering that decs have to be up tomorrow - grrrrrrrr - so am cleaning before they get put up etc
Hugs to all x
