  • flushed with the success of the wee 4ply pink one........as well as all the lovely things you have said about them (many thanks it helps to keep me going with the crochet malarky) I hunted out some RED DK and here is the result
    dsc01237p.jpg

I think it will be more tiny ones tho' as I have tons of 4 ply even although they take me longer on that wee hook!
Shaz good luck for the move...................please try not to worry too much about Josh and concentrate on YOU getting into the new flat and relaxing eh? I know its really hard but you are responsible for YOU, no one else eh!
I will pop back later...........being yelled to go and "assist" yeah that usually means I get the mucky jobs!

THANK YOU FOR ALL YOUR KIND COMMENTS ABOUT STOCKING!:A:A

Lovely morning in the market this morning! I did buy some lovely material as my other niece has requested some more bibs for baby Devon!
I can feel that obsession returning!

I have just had a massive tidy up of the Craft Room here-- DOH converted the integral garage soon after we starting spending the winters here-- I am not sure if it is to keep all my mess in one place or to keep me out of his hair!! Probably a bit of both. He is moaning about the fluff from the terry towelling as I typer !!! :):rotfl::rotfl:
Anyway tidying wool is just the best type of housework!! And it is all stashed away -- colour co-ordinated and sorted! Lovely!!

Well of course, as always mixed news on here right now!!!
Firstly PIPPA and DOH !:j:j:j:j bRILLIANT NEWS ABOUT THE 1 LB. Maybe his body will really think that is the way to go now!! I do hope so!

Toots-- Lovely to see you posting and I am sorry you have such challenges but I am glad you find the crafty bits so rewarding.

Knitter Nan -- Lovely to see you too -- Hope your health improves a little

F1 -- Thanks so much for that chunky beanie hat pattern -- It is Ace!

Kinsey Hope decorating is going well -- I m totally useless at it.My glossing looks like a waterfall and papering worse and that's the way I intend it to remain. DOH won't let me near it!!!

Kathy-- Fingers crossed about all things French!! xx

Jean --- Hope all is progressing well especially in the sweatshop! Those little decorations are gorgeous -- You hooker you!!

    Shaz
-- You poor thing -- Your boys could do with meeting some lovely girls who would, I am sure help them to see the light and give them a real purpose in life. I do hope Josh gets better soon! What a worry for you!

Mrs Moneypenny -- How is little Lily?

    ISOM -- How are you?

Lots of love to one and all -- Must go as DOH is ready for our afternoon walk!
Try and do a good deed every day.
  • just popping on to while pasta cooks itself
    jean, love the crochet decorations.
wishing i had time for some wooly stuff, the nearset i've got to wool, is imprisoning those cute little balls into cardboard boxes, roll on there release date lol.
josh has been told by hospital if he dosent start changing his ways he'll be lucky to see 40. apparently he is drinking around ten of those energy drinks similar to red bull, and that is causing his heart to race and cause problems as well as all the sugar, especially as he binges on chocolate and cake and biscuits, causing him to have hypo's and lose consciousness.
good news, decorater has finished putting paper up in my room and living room. and the joiner has put up my curtain poles in all rooms except bathroom and kitchen where he has put my new blinds up, and also towel rail etc in bathroom
now just off to feed myself and then finish packing, its never ending
    love to all

  • Wow Shaz you are cracking on with all the jobs there girl.....I can only hope that Josh has listened and taken in what has been said to him at the hospital. Obviously his diet leaves tons to be desired but its up to him, even if you made his meals there is no guarantee he would eat them.
QUESTION.........where do I buy that cook itself pasta..........DH has asked for macaroni cheese for tomorrow lunch - but I want to do more crochet so you can see I need that cook itself stuff!
Goodluck for tomorrow - the release date for the yarn no doubt will be very soon upon you.

The saving grace with my BIL is that he is a real fighter and says he's damned if he's just going to give in to it, so I'm sure his attitude will serve him well. Fingers crossed, and thanks for your thoughts.
Kathy that definately is a huge benefit if he can keep up the positive attitude - I try most of the time but sometimes it gets the better of me - I will be willing him on from afar!!
chalky you are verrrrrrrrrrrry lucky having a craft room - that would have been a wish for me years ago but not possible now - must be great to have space to leave things out or have more than one thing on the go - all sorts of different projects - ooooooooooooh sorry I am turning green:D
Shaz - keep on track honey - you have a huge day tomorrow and the start of your new life - if Joshua has been admitted then he is in the best place and just maybe one of these admissions someone might get through to him (((hugs))) and strength for you and loads of good luck for tomorrow. p.s. I am glad the decorator has done your room - you need to create your own little haven in there.:D
roamin another little gem - that decoration is lovely.
and anakat so are yours - you are all trying to side track me!!!!! I will have a go but its more likely to be for next Christmas!!!

as suspected today was so busy I havent sat down until now:D but thanks to a lovely friend I now have a lovely cosy sitting room and a much cleared spare room - still a lot to do but she is determined to sort me out before Christmas and I think she will do it!!!
My LL has been and done a few more outstanding things so all good.

its only 2 degrees here so going to settle down in the warmth and relax.

love and hugs to you all

Welcome Prepareathome yes do come in and join in the fun. Easiest is probably squares knitted or crochet, usually 6" x 6" in double knitting any colour take as long as you like, then you can either sew them all up together to make a blanket (think pets, or homeless) or send them of and have them join loads of others. I haven't a clue how many stitches gets that size I usually start with cast on two and increase one stitch at the start of every row till the side bit measures 6" then do one row with no increase start to decrease by one stitch on each row all the way back down (diamond shape) and all done in KNIT (garter stitch). I am certain others will be along with loads of nice ideas for you.
Anakat - they are so gorgeous..........I will one day get some crochet cotton and give it a try - think its the little hook that puts me off, if I could do them in chunky wool I would be a happy bunny
Good luck for the move Shaz
Toots - stay snuggley buggley in the warm
off for a swift coffee then a walk with the pups..........will pop back later
