    Hi everyone

Pippa - the boots are great! I love all the other photos you've posted, too. I have the 100 Flowers book; it's very inspiring, isn't it? Hope your OH is having a good day.

Shaz - it does all seem to be happening with very little notice, doesn't it? I'm sure it will all work out. I hate moving at the best of times but, for you, this one will be worth it, whatever the hassle!

Well, I've done the update so thanks for your totals. You can see the update by clicking into my name at the side of this post, then going to my 'homepage'. Please let me know if there are any mistakes! My own total is just 1 Homeless Strip My mojo keeps taking off without me. I'm sure it's back in the UK waiting for me, but I wish it would come back - I need it here now!

Anyway, no further news about my BIL at the moment; he's just waiting for the next round of chemo.

The weather is a mix of sun and cloud, but it's still quite mild and certainly not as cold as the same time last year. I haven't even worn a winter coat yet, so have had no chance to use the neckwarmer I made for myself!

Anyway, I hope you are all having a good day today.

  • wakefield council are a pain in the bum, like wasting time, and paper:(. went to see flat today as planned, thought i was getting keys as that is what i was told on friday. apparently today was a view and sign some paperwork for handowver of keys which is 3pm tommorrow. so fed up so that is today and most of tommorrow, when i could potentially be stripping walls etc.
flat has just been modernised, new windoors doors, new kitchen, bathroom, boiler, central heating, rewiring, so the walls need sorting asap.
been to carpet shop, and picked carpet for main bedroom, lounge and hall, stairs and landing, got measurer coming out at 5pm tommorrow, then carpets can be ordered, as they take 10 to 14 days to be delivered.
been to comet and picked new gas cooker, havent ordered it yet tho,
right, off to find decorating quores
    hugs sharon
ps anne, what a kind sister to buy you a knitting book, love the colours on the homeless strips

    afternoon all
sorry i hought i had told you the girls names they are Lily and lola. Lily is a little poorly at the moment and has a chest infection so my constant thoughts are with her.

SK i hope your move goes smoothly just read above posting and sorry to hear its not so smooth at the moment - how frustrating for you.

Kathy, my toughts are with your BIL i hope he is as well as can be and the next lot of chemo brings him nearer to full health

been back docs myself, still got to carry on with the iron tabs as im stil low (but not anemic and more) im been on 3 a day for months so i would hope it was improving, i keep getting abdomilal tenderness and soreness the doc cant find a reason for it so thinks it could be the tabs upsetting me so catch 22.

pippa those ugg boots look fantastic, as do all your lovely pressies

knitting little stockings for the school fete and trying to do christms stuff. i made my pudding yesterday and have it steaming at the moment as it was finished too late to steam last night by the time id waited for everyone to come in and have a stir and make a wish.

welcome to the newbies and i really hope all are well

Mrs Moneypenny - my thoughts are with little Lily - (my mum's name, too!). Both the twins' names are beautiful; proper 'girlie' names, aren't they?

Shaz - it must be so frustrating but you are nearly there, so hang on in there!

Mrs Moneypenny -- What lovely names -- Now we can all think of little Lily and send lots of gentle thoughts!
Lots especially for you too. Sorry your health is not so good right now!

Pippa --- What lovely knits and Crochet May this week bring a few extra ounces for DOH!

Shaz -- You will be there before you know it. Hang on in there.

kATHY -- Doh and I have been thinking about you today and send lots of love xx

Yoga here on a Monday so lots of bending and stretching this morning!
I have been busy with Granny Sunburst squares this afternoon. I have now run out of the navy wool so that has got to be popped in the case to go home to finish. Add that to the little baby shrug!!

Next project is the stocking for Great Niece -- I have cut out the pattern but have to search for the right material-- which could be a challenge here! I am going to make some twirlies in Christmas Red,green and white to decorate it and I have a strip of Binca to embroider the name -- Isla.

Rummer Hope doggie blanket is going well -- Kniitter Nan. Just Laura, Old Tractor, Happy Crafter and our other new friends
-- Hope you are all well and busy with woolly things!

Lots of love to all our other MIA'S. Hope all well and hands are not overflowing!
Try and do a good deed every day.
  • Anne, great birthday treats you got there............I have the flowers one in French which is a bit of a chore so might plonk it back onto my book list and see if anyone gets it for my Christmas.
Uggs look gorgeous - are you going to knit the ARK and all the aminals too - how exciting is that...wow beats my attempt at the nativity scene any day of the week. Hope your DH is ploughing onwards and getting stronger by the day, it does take a wee while but you get there in the end.
Shaz......Saturday will be upon yo before you even know it, so don't go wishing this week away.
Mrs Moneypenny, what lovely names Lola and Lily, sending them lots of hugs and love - can the quack not give you an iron injection?? Does it have to be the tablets?
Chalky.........have a look at the velvet? I did the whole family some a few years ago and found some great bargains in the second hand shop for velvet curtains...which I promptly cut up....we had green, cherry red, violent purple and I did the tops in white fluffy lint (yes the stuff for wounds during the last war.....had a roll of it in a box, which probably came from Grannies house) ALL VERY MSE
Rightio - today I managed to do most of my Christmas shopping........ON LINE ha ha, I am heading out tomorrow to the proper shops to catch up with the very last of it all, and I won't be taking any prisoners....its in and done and home again......gggggrrrrrr. So you all behave and I will let you know how it all goes.
