HI everyone.
Great news, Shaz. Baby steps at first, though, but good luck!
Jean - Chalky is right, I do sympathise and I know several people here who have had enough of that side of France and one couple, who have been here for seventeen years, are going back to the UK! I don't think DH and I will will be far behind them! I'm still battling on two admin fronts here!
Anyway, I haven't been around much this last couple of days because life has a habit of getting in the way and, worse, getting me down. Sadly and worryingly, my BIL is now having to go back onto chemotherapy. He has been having regular scans and, until last week, seemed to be progressing well, but they've found a second tumour on his liver, so they will get him in asap. I'm just so pleased that I will be back there soon. On top of that, my mum's memory problems are getting worse, despite the doctor saying that it wasn't anything serious. My sister seems to think it must be dementia or Alzheimer's, so she's trying to get someone else to take a look at her. My poor sister is having to shoulder all this alone, and she's not in the best of health herself. It makes me feel a million miles away; I'm sure I'm not meant to be here, and should be back there with them all. I shall see how things are when we go back in December, and may decide to stay anyway.
Anyway, I'm sorry if I've brought you all down but it's good to be able to get it down on paper, so to speak. As for me, I'm off to the doctor later today because my inhalers don't seem to be doing their job properly.
Will call back later.
Love to you all.

I have spent the whole day in the sweatshop - talk about total enjoyment eh!...................finished four knitting needle/crochet hook rolls, I only needed to make one but hey if you cut out for one you are just as well cutting out for 4, if you sew one you are just getting into your stride by number 4. Have now stepped away from the machines, going to look up a recipe DH mentioned something during the week so I thought I would see if I could possibly do it for tomorrow night.........might take me all day to get it all up together but am willing to have a go.
Kathy, sorry to hear your news about the BIL as well as your Mum, it really isn't easy being a gazillion miles away when your nearest and dearest really need you - tough call.
I have been making book marks in my sitting in a comfy chair time...........just counted them there are about 20 ..........I don't think I even know that many people! This obsessional work will have to stop, why oh why can't I just make ONE of something and be happy - no don't bother to answer that one, I wouldn't listen anyway.
Shaz - you know that if you take it really slowly with the boys they will not see you as a threat, just hang on in there it will all work itself out eventually.
Love and cuddles to you all and I will try and pop in properly over the weekend, if I haven't gone on to some other daft job!

OH has lost another 1 lb, he's still having trouble keeping anything down, but we were warned radiotherapy effects will be whizzing around inside him for about 3 weeks after the treatment finished, almost that now so hopefully he should soon be feeling more like his old self.
