hello all
Have just had dinner yummm lovely curry for 1 and some garlic bread....poor OH can't eat anything like that just yet... he had porridge again must be doing him good though, he only lost 1 lb in the last week :T
Had appointment at the hospital yesterday afternoon, the Doctor was very pleased with him said he is healing well and weight loss has slowed down. We had to go back today to the pharmacy the waiting time was an hour yesterday and he was so tired we came home.
f1 - my Kemps order came this morning as well, talk about speedy delivery... much better than it was. I managed to get the Winnie and Piglet kits, little crochet bag and skinny cotton scarf with the beads, good value as the cotton yarn costs almost as much as the whole kit.
chalky - love the eyebrow warmer :rotfl:only jokin it looks brilliant I like that stitch always look's neat doesn't it? nice colour BTW
psso - yes thanks he is getting there slowly. It sounds like your stash needs a colour injection mine's a bit like that ATMand errrm whos calling who superwoman
kathy - ooo not long now, it sounds like a lovely time is planned for you all
Did a loom hat last night with some yarn my sister gave me ages ago, it's really weird more like felt than anything else, made by Rowan, not easy to sew the ends in either, but having said that it came out ok
Off for a cuppa now take care and love to all

Evening lovelies! Still alive I am but battling fatigue and pain in my elbow isnt helping so on a go slow and just going (or not!) with it! Am hoping it eases up without having to have a kneedle stuck in it which sounds owwie!
Socky hang in there and remember that youre doing the right thing focussing on you; would it be worth looking at doing an evening class once a week to get you out and meeting people? Or maybe find a local knitting group to get you out and about and distract you?
Psso cant I almost fell asleep in chair the other day...unheard of!
Chalky love the hat!
Miol how many sleeps to go now?
Been busy trying to get a crochet roll done for christmas pressie for friend in work; she has kept me sane this year so wanted to give her sommat special and know she will love it! Will post piccy when its done but just about to order some hooks...Nerd no 109 Long haulers supporters DFW #1! Even in the darkest moments, love and hope are always possible.0 -
evening all, sounds like quite a few have new stash, the cotton yarn scarf kits are good value, i bought a few last year when they fisrt had them on clearance. shame i missed the disney scarves, they sound fun to do.
have done no knitting yet today, my wrist gives me a lot of twinge type of pains, and i can only do a few rows at a time, then i have to have a little break before going back to it.
bought a syrian hamster today, a wee baby just 8 weeks old, calling him/her nibbles, so now thats five of us in the house lol
nibbles, benjamin dwarf hamster, and pip and squeak guinea pigs, plus me of course lol
psso, glad things worked out in the end for you and your ds, thanks for sharing
isom, hope pain in elbow gets better soon. i go to a couple of knitting groups in the day time, but hadnt thought of an evening one, i will ask around.
still no news on flat yet, but hoping its real soon, or else i'll have to start housework in this place lol, its so untidy
hugs all

Hi everyone
Pippa - I'm so glad that your OH is healing well, and that he's not losing so much weight.
ISOM - I've just counted and it's 38! Sounds like ages, but it will go down very fast, I know! Hope you can avoid the jab!
F1 - I daren't look at Kemps! I'm saving my pennies for my visit back home.
Shaz - your little menagerie sounds lovely. I hope Nibbles settles in well.
Well, I've actually almost finished my neckwarmer. It's taken ages, mainly because I don't have much spare time, but also because the wool is a bit awkward to crochet with. It's Sirdar Chunky in Denim, a lovely colour, but it snags a lot. Still, it looks lovely crocheted up, so it's worth persisting with it.
Anyway, time for my shower. Have a good evening, everyone.

Well what a lovely lot of posts and I can sense that everyone is notching up a gear or two-- mainly Christmas orientated methinks!!!
Some good news from the poorlies especially Pippa and DOH! Brilliant news and I hope by next week DOH will have turned the corner and feeling a little brighter!
Take care all those with tricky bones/wrists/lost Mojo's/too much work/not enough pennies/troublesome children etc etc!!
Kathy --Woohoo - Your trip gets better and better and what a treat - organic meat but I know you will have been very special friends!
Kemps parcels-- I wonder if they have vouchers. That would be a great present for us wool addicts!
Well I have been STRUGGLING all afternoon to finish the littrle cardi for baby Gilberto! Oh! how I hate button bands. That is definitely the last cardi I am doing!!!! But I had made nothing in blue so wanted to make 1 little thing in blue.DOH said" did you not have enough matching buttons!"
I just liked it being a bit different!
Thanks for kind comments about hat!
Sleep well everyone - Missing our absent friends but hope it is because you are busy!Try and do a good deed every day.0 -

Morning everyone
bit cold here today, supposed to be sunny but ...well I suppose it is somewhere... Africa probably :rotfl:
OH is having a snooze I have put the heating on as he feels so cold, he is tucked up nice and snug for a while so I will get on with something quiet
I finally took a pic of the UGG boots I knitted ages ago I'll load it up then post it on here...
chalky - Love the cardi, tell DOH the quirky buttons are a fashion statement :rotfl:
kathy - ooo 38... it will be here before you know it, and you can cuddle Summer and little Megan to your hearts content
shaz - sounds like you have a nice day planned ... enjoy
ISOM - Doctor wants me to have a cortisone injection in my wrist, she said it's an inflamed something or other around the tendon, which sounds something like yours... but I've chickend out up to now
I tried to make a start on the knitted cowl last night but after the cast on and 2 rows my wrist was hurting, so I got the loom out and made another hat a smaller one this time in the same felty stuff as before, I can quite happily do that or crochet for a while with out too much discomfort...very strange
Have good days all
Anne

Thank you all for kind comments about cardi-- not my favourite clicking escapade but am quite pleased that little baby "Gilberto" will have little cardi's for the winter!
As I finished a dear niece, and mother of 2,and now expecting baby number 3 sent me a message to say what happy memories are coming back to her as she is washing/freshening her baby clothes. She remembers the little cardis's I knitted for her!!!!!!!!!!!!I wondered if that was a mighty hint!!
Well, I decided I would start a little car seat blanket instead and guess what -- all shades of blue!! No surprises there then. Today I thought about our Grandson so much and tried to picture his little face !! I suddenly thought he might be called Arthur--- He definitely won't be I am sure! Where did that come from!!Just being beautifully bonkers as usual!!
As I was thinking all this I thought about Annakat -- I do hope you are Ok. And that extends to all our MIA's -- Kinsey -- hope you are Ok . It would be lovely to hear from Old Tractor,Happy Crafter,Just Laura and Uncle Tom Cobley and all again.
Love as usual to all our regular posters xxxTry and do a good deed every day.0 -

Hope everyone else is well, and ((hugs)) for those that need one.
PS love the cardi0
