Hi everyone -- love as always -- bit quiet on here --- hope everyone is happy hooking or clicking and not letting the C word interfere toooooo much!

Well actually it is Doh's birthday today-- Thank you so much for your kind comment Kathy what a good memort you have. When he was born on Nov 5th his nan wanted to call him Guy -- Imagine that Guy Gilbert!! Sounds a bit like a dodgy american actor!
So we have had a lovely day. Quiet start and then the local market finishing with a Tapas lunch then home and a bit of gardening and a walk and then a nice meal and a dose of strictly!!! My Doh will put up with the girly side to see the seriously fit professionals!!

I am still working on the little shrug and hoping the craft fairy is on my side as I wonder if there is enough for completion!

Will pop back tomorrow and see how we are getting on!
Try and do a good deed every day.
  • morning everyone, belated birthday wishes for chalkys OH.
had a lot going off here so havent been around for a few days
short version, had crisis team involved, and still do, have been refered to mental health clinic for day treatment. josh no longer wants contact with me, that is a long story that i wont bore you with, but he broke my heart with the things hes done and said.
my best friends husband passed away on monday aged just 61, and it wasnt a peaceful death, he fought to the very end.
still havent moved, but safe at home team visiting me on monday, apparently they have a lot of influence on the council, where people are at risk of violence and dont feel safe, josh will not have my new address when i move.
knitting mojo gone awol, but i seem to have found somebodys cleaning mojo, cleaned my bedroom and kitchen thoroughly yesterday including freezer, and today it is living room that will be done
    hugs all

Greetings all - not been around for a bit except to lurk occasionally, nothing serious just a slight increase in all symptoms which means that I seem to et even less done than usual.

Well another wild and windy day today but with lots of warm sunshine so no complaints!
We have managed a good walk in the foothills of the mountains nearby after a Tapas lunch.Lovely to have no washing up!!
We had a good day yesterday for DOH'S Birthday with lots of calls from family and friends!
We even had a long chat with DD2 in Oz because they have downloaded Viber which allows you to phone and text all around the world for free!!

I am still busy knitting the little cardi and the ball is getting smaller at too fast a rate methinks!!!!
I got distracted earlier with a Beanie hat pattern -- BUT I am useless at following patterns and gave up after 8 rounds in case you want a go here is the link ----http://www.playinhookydesigns.com/p/free-pattern.html

Perfect for a Christmas present !
Have to go and get some tea but lots of love to one and all!!!!

    Hi everyone.

We've been having a lovely lazy afternoon here; the weather's horrid so staying in was the only option. We did get round to putting the garden furniture away (sob, sob!). DS2 and family Skyped which was lovely, lovely, lovely!

Chalky - thanks for posting the link to that beanie hat - DIL2 said today on Skype that she'd like one, so I can do that (in her favourite colour, purple) for Christmas. I made Summer a little bag some time ago, with two little crocheted dolls in it (it was a present for her to open when Megan was born), and one of DIL2's friends loved it, so I have a commission to make another one. I made the bag pattern up - luckily, I took a photo of it, so I should be able to copy it! I agree that Guy would not have been the best name to go with Gilbert! Andy suits him; he looks like an Andy! It's an easy birthday to remember - my lovely nephew, Jake, was 13 years old yesterday. He's always been known as the Bonfire Baby! Not that he would appreciate it now - he's almost 6' tall already!

Shaz - I am so sorry that things have worked out that way with Josh but you are doing the right thing, and putting yourself first. I hope the team can influence the council and get you moved asap. I keep thinking that you need a brand new start, and a new home would be a great first step. Hugs to you.

Pippa - hope you and your OH are well and having a good Sunday.

Seakay - hope you feel a lot better soon.

Thanks for all your good wishes - I am definitely better, although the way I lazed around this afternoon, you'd think I was still struggling!

Have a lovely evening, everyone. I will DEFINITELY get up to date with the update tomorrow!

Hi everyone. Just popping in to say that I have finally brought the spreadsheet up to date, having not done it for a couple of weeks while I was unwell. You can find it by clicking into my name at the side of this post, then going to my 'homepage'. Please let me know if there are any mistakes!

Will pop back later; I'm off to put the kettle on.

Hello one and all --- Lots of love and gentle thoughts as I know life is still very tricky for lots of lovely people!
Shaz -- You must be so sad but keep in mind that this may just be a phase-- a lot of young men are very angry about all sorts of things when they are in their teens. However, for now I think you are very wise to consider yourself first and foremost! Good luck and I do hope things improve for you soon!
Seakay and all the other poorlies -- Hope things improve soon!
Kathy-- The days are ticking by-- You must be trying very hard to keep the bubbles of excitement under control--- Are you making any of your lovely jewel work this year?

Well as I predicted the Craft Fairy was not on my side with the little cardigan for my great niece- I will get some more yarn at Christmas and finish it then -- Good old Amazon will have to send a special book!

I have just finished my 3rd strip for Loving Hands, sewn in the ends and now still trying to avoid that 2nd front on little Gilbertos cardigan I am thinking of doing some trusty squares! I will finish cardi tomorrow! I Willlllllll!!!!!!

I have been to Yoga this morning, then met friends for lunch and then actually did some serious gardening of the pot variety on the back terrace! So it is all clean and tidy for you all when you arrive on that magic carpet!
Try and do a good deed every day.
