    Morning all
First off just want to say thank you for your continued thoughts and concern for OH, you are so lovely all of you :)

Lovely and sunny here makes you feel good doesn't it seeing the sun shining away up there  and all the pansies nodding their little heads, and even geraniums still flowering not for much longer though methinks...

Jean -Aw thanks so much :A yes last day yesterday thank goodness... its been a long 6 weeks...
kathy - glad the lurgy is on its way out :)
ISOM - cowls seem to take forever but they look so good when finished, relax and enjoy your day off
prfungi - our dog was the same and the vet told us as she got so stressed the best thing to do was lots of walking on the pavement as it wears them down naturally, so DS2 started taking her on his paper round and it worked...ooo that was a long time ago he is 40 now  DS2 I mean not the dog :rotfl:
Salome - ooo me too I love a squish and a squeeze :) daren't buy any more though I seem to have amassed quite a lot recently ;)
f1 - hopefully the pain will ease a bit now his radio therapy has finished, and his face and neck will have time to heal, thank you for asking x
knitter nan - sorry to hear you've been ill hope they sort out treatment for you soon
psso - sounds like everything went well and you all had a great time last weekend, :)

Doc was really pleased with OH's progress yesterday and said its quite normal for someone with OH's type of cancer to sleep for up to 18 hours a day, OH was quite worried that he kept falling asleep all the time so Doc put his mind at rest on that score.

I finished another crochet squares strip last night, I am really enjoying doing them in all different colours, not only for using up odds and ends but I thought the homeless might like a bit of colour in their lives even if it is just a blanket :D

Off to Hospital Pharmacy now to pick up prescription, there was an hour and a half wait yesterday and OH could'nt have sat there that long so I said I'd collect it today

    sorry for the ramble :o
  • pippa i hope the queue isnt as bad today, im glad your OH has been reasured about the amount of sleeping hes doing. i memember being told the body grows and heals itself during sleep so that can only be a good thing.
we had a tiny shower this morning but the weather is beautiful now - really bright and sunny.

    have a lovely day

Lol ISOM. DS lives in one of those posh flats above the centre there, moved in about 6mths ago. When I went to see it, he took me out in the roof garden area they have, and you can look through the roof and watch all the shoppers underneath in the centre. Now that to me is fun. I could have stayed there for ages, just watching :-) How sad am I. I just love observing lol.
I'm supposed to be on a wool ban at the moment Pippa s but not doing too well :-( or should it be :-) ????? I shall try my hardest not to buy, and be content with squishes and squeezes, and the occasional sniff. Somthing about the smell of wool is very tempting :-) Mind you, it's probaby the smell of the dye giving me a chemical kick lol. I get the same pleasure out of smelling brand new books. OH says it's the parafin in the print. Think I have some weird habits lol.

    A work in progress :D

    Hi everyone.

It has been brought to my attention that Shelley, of Preemies UK, has asked that all her patterns be removed from the Loving Hands Pattern Collection. Roamin in the gloamin, as one of the pattern keepers who painstakingly sorted and catalogued all the patterns in the collection, is currently in the process of locating and deleting them but, of course, this will take some time. In the meantime, we are asking that no-one downloads any patterns in the collection that look as if they are attributed to Shelley or Preemies UK.

Thank you all very much for your kind co-operation.

Following the above back in early July, I believe that you should get pattern directly from Preemies UK

Tuesday already and I did say I would be back…..then got side tracked AGAIN. After years of stepping out onto wooden flooring in the bedroom I managed to bag a bargain at the weekend with some carpet tiles (they had been used in an exhibition hall ONCE) and very MSE only cost me 50 Euros. So we set too yesterday clearing as much out of our bedroom and got about half laid. Gave up at lunch time as we were both cream
crackered. No way can we shift the wardrobe – 4 doors and set of drawers in it so believe we will be going around that at some point! Started again this morning and still haven’t manage to finish the job……..its the whole ex hay loft over the farmhouse so this might be a long job –
all week at the rate we are going. So I will pop back in later when I manage to get a bit of craftie work done – I am not hiding anyones mojo and mine has gone off the boil too.
Love and cuddles to you all, hope your part of the world is sunny and bright.

Hi everyone. Annoyingly, I'm still not quite rid of this bug. One minute I think I'm feeling better then the next, I'm having to sit down to take a rest. Today, although I'm still coughing a bit, it's definitely easing but I now keep sneezing! One of the most annoying things is that my hands are so sore from washing them - every time I cough or sneeze, I wash my hands. I use that antiseptic hand gel a lot, too, but even that's making my hands sore now, so then I have to keep putting handcream on! At the moment, it's a real vicious circle! My hands look as if I've been in the boxing ring! Still, I WILL be better for Christmas, and that's what matters!

I'm so sorry I've hardly been on here these last couple of weeks, but I really hope that will change soon.

Pippa - it's great that your OH has been reassured about his sleeping. Mrs Moneypenny is right - sleep is a great healer.

Jean - I hope you don't come up against too much red tape while organising everything for your SIL and her Hunk!

Well, I'm off now; I will try and get the latest updates done over the next few days, at least before the next one is due!

    Have a great evening, everyone.
