Bloomin telly in the Office blew up yesterday............... so DH went and bought a new fuse for it (last of the big spenders here - 50p ish) plonked in the fuse put the back on the TV plugged it in and it promptly went BANG again. He then brought in all the testing stuff...bits of wire with meters etc and I just said FORGET IT - telly was about 14 years old and I had far more important jobs he can be doing. Have bit the bullet and ordered a new one on line should be here by Monday - its my "I don't have to sit and watch Time Team for the 4th time" telly, OR all I really want to see is Anything apart from BIKES! All the carpet tiles are down in our bedroom now - glad that jobs finished Seem to still have a heap of them left over.........not sure where they will end up so will give it a bit of a thought before I decide to dump them.
Nosey house looking at is a bit of a chore, its renovation projects only .........also seems that they really do want to be right next door and have spoke DS (who owns the wreck next door) - they are "discussing" the possibilities so no doubt we will be informed as and when, all minds are made up. Great bit of sunshine and wind today so I am off to get the dog beds into the machine then out onto the rope pronto.

Lovely to see you posting F1, perhaps the mojo just needed a wee rest.........Baby blankets on the knitting machine is my limit these days, so I don't think I can offer you any inspiration. Oh and I have a crochet String Bag started and sitting by the comfy chair! I am finding it hard to concentrate so will keep with the easy stuff for the time being. Ye all have a great day, will pop in a bit later.

    Afternoon all
I am shattered today took Mom shopping earlier hadn't taken her out for ages, between hospital appt's, treatment etc didn't seem to get time and when I did I was so tired. Sooo I plan an afternoon on the sofa with some wooly stuff ...OH slept all the time I was out so that was good

Hope all the mojo's are returned to their rightful owners ;)

f1widow - yes I think he's got the knack of dropping off as and when now without feeling as though he is being lazy and as everyone keeps telling him, it will do him good
mrs-moneypenny - luckily I was able to queue jump as I had left the prescription the day before. Glad to hear the twins are doing well
jean - carpet tiles are useful for all sorts of things, I put one under the fridge right side down so that I can move the fridge easily when I need to and the flooring doesn't get scratched, did the same with the dishwasher and the freezer
kathy - sounds like the lurgy is on its way out :T you should be tickety boo in time for your trip back
salome - brand new books, wool, clothes dried on the line, lavender, coal tar soap... the list is endless and every one evokes a memory of times past :)
chalky - hope you enjoyed your nap, will have a look at the link later

Right I am off to make a cuppa then I have a date with a ball of wool ;):D

Hello everyone-- Lots of love tucked in as usual!
Well it is a very wet and windy one here today so I have finished off my friends bag for Christmas -- piccie later!
And now I am going back to the little shrug for my Great Niece's Christening which I started on the long journey down from Santander.
We have just been treated to lunch out as it is Doh's birthday tomorrow -- So we had a paella in a local restaurant. Totally Spanish and when we tried to pay they did not take cards so we were off to the Bank to get the cash but cos the weather is wild they insisted we pay tomorrow--- How lovely!

Special gentle thoughts to all those with their hands overflowing at the moment-- Please don't let C******** make it worse!
Try and do a good deed every day.

Hi everyone - still here and still crawling out from under this persistent bug BUT I do feel a lot better now. Today's problem was DH waking up with a huge abscess on his gum; luckily, no pain but, of course, there are no dentists open here on Saturdays, and no emergency dental helpline as there is in the UK, so it was off to A&E we went. Within the hour, DH had been examined and we were sent to the pharmacy to collect five different packets of stuff. The French love writing out prescriptions! Anyway, the antibiotics have already started working and he looks less like a hamster with a gobstopper in his mouth now. I made sure I went with him because I was worried he'd forget to tell the doctor that he's allergic to penicillin.

Sis and BIL Skyped yesterday, and BIL looks absolutely fighting fit and he's really doing well. The latest scan results show that the tumour has not got any smaller but, more importantly, it's not got any bigger, either, so the doctors are very pleased with his progress. I'm so looking forward to seeing them at Christmas!

The weather here has been damp, cool, and grey and we decided we just had to put the garden furniture away - always a sad moment. Tomorrow, I shall bare-root the geraniums and get them in the conservatory for the winter.

I hope you are all keeping well.

Pippa - you and your OH are always in my thoughts.

Jean - as ISOM said, it's about time.

Chalky - please wish your DH a very Happy Birthday for tomorrow! Have a good day, both of you, despite the weather!

My heart goes out to all those involved in that horrific crash in Somerset. I know that area very well from my childhood, and it makes me feel so sad to think how people have suffered. As always in disasters like this, my thoughts are also with the emergency services; they do such amazing work.

Well, I'm off to start dinner, then I shall settle down to watch Strictly, hopefully, with some crochet on the go! DH doesn't mind watching it, even thought it's all a bit 'girly'; he has rather a crush on Ola!

Have a lovely evening, all of you, and I hope to catch up with you properly over the next couple of days.
