Marru - I haven't seen any yarn called Lola here, but Roamin may have done; she lives in France, too! I did find this when I googled http://www.schaeferyarn.com/yrn_lola.html You could try emailing them. It's a beautiful yarn, too! If you post a photo of your scarf, I might be able to trace the wool that way.

Shaz - that sounds pretty positive to me, so I shall keep my fingers crossed for you.

I found that lola but it is not the same, it is more like rico can can I assume. Picture of the scarf here:

Marru -- Your scarf is really lovely!
Try and do a good deed every day.
  • MARRU - it looks like the 'bandage' yarn I came across ages ago in the cheaper shops....not the wool stores....same stuff as the Rico can can in the UK. Will look further when I hit la four fouille or King Kong. The also had it in Lidl back in February

  • Dare I reveal...kemps have a sale!! I darent look!! For the newbies among us (who are most welcome) they are a reliable and well priced online wool shop whose sale prices are a bit bonkers!
Love the makes chalky; talented bunny you are!
Mrs M thats good news; like you I would want to wait a bit as youd never forgive yourself if they caught something would you...
    Love the scarf marru...
Well the big clean up is done so the rest of the day is mine; Im going to finish piggies (paper mache) and varnishing boxes for the fayre plus sew up teh lovely snow men. Chalky if you have space tworlies that would be great...I have the metal bits if thats any help?
Still having "fun" integrating Shiomi...they did play in the same room with no hissing for a bit which is good; issue may be that Shiomi is definately more confident than Isoke - despite the difference in size. Its really bizarre watching such a big cat running scared from such a tiny thing!
Hope people are enjoying the sunshine and people feeling low have been brightened a bit by the sun! Big hugs for those that would like them...

Jean - that's a lovely link; well done for finding it, but what eye-watering prices! A local lady here is selling pure spun organic Alpaca wool - it's gorgeous but she's asking €12 for 50gms! Think I'll pass on that!

Marru - I love the scarf, especially the colours!

Chalky - love the cube; very inventive!

Well, the ironing board is up but that's about as far as it's got so far, because it's so hot here! I've been baking (needed to use up some walnuts!), so the kitchen is even hotter than it should be!

    Afternoon chums.

Chalky - what a smashing cube that it. Little Gilberto will be having fun chucking it about before you know it.

Toots - Kemps have always got lots of pages of clearance lines. Some are on there for a while, others go pretty quickly. Always worth a look to see if anything takes your fancy. I`ve ordered from them quite a few times and delivery has always been very quick and never had any problems with them. I could spend a fortune there - if I had a fortune to spend that is !

Mrs mp - good to hear the twins are still holding their own. Wise move for auntie to stay away till they are a bit bigger, must be difficult though.

Well, DS mentioned that he would like to go fishing on Saturday and could I take him. Should be my weekend working but only been rota`d on for Sunday so said it might be possible as long as I`m home for about 3pm as granddaughter is having a birthday tea party at 4.30. He was worried that I`d be bored as there isn`t much to do in the area round the fishery. He`s obviously developed serious memeory loss while living away from home. Me bored for 5 hours ? Bet you can all guess what I said to that ...........5 hours of peace and quiet and nothing to do but crochet, knit or read a book with a flask of coffee and a packet of biscuits. BLISSSSSSSSSS. Hope he still wants to go, I`m looking forward to it. Sad or what ?

Off to pick him up and see what he says.
    Back later.
