Oh, Chalky, I do, I do, I do! I love that wool shop and the ladies in it who are proper 'wool shop' ladies; I'm sure you know what I mean! I still have lots of wool in my stash but, as it's been so long since we've been back home, DH has been warned that I will be doubling up on supplies! I'm just looking on eBay now and deciding whether to get some Clover ergonomic crochet hooks - if anyone has tried them, please let me know what you think! My hand aches more these days; the tendonitis has already limited the amount of knitting I can do, but I thought I was safe with crochet. I thought getting a better hook might enable me to keep going.

Jean - why do you think you should be shot? Because I have to disagree!

  • welcome to the thread mummy of twins. how old are your twins? i have twin boys aged 16, squares are always welcomed as others have pointed out.
had a good chat with gp, and they want me to slowly come off my anti depressants, over 10 weeks:eek:then start a new one. in the meantime i have to go and see her every two weeks. she has given me a medical certificate to send off with my esa form.
popped to mc'ds on way home for a latte, and then called at morrisons, and bought knit today and knit and crochet xmas special.
new years resolution, will be to stop buying any more knitting mags, as its just becoming an addiction now, and i'll never get round to knitting things from them all.
thanks for pms, will reply to them, then feet up with mag
    love to all

mioliere - I went to France for a holiday this summer and bough this yarn that makes frilly scarf (scarf is ready). The yarn was called Lola and I can't find it anywhere in the net. Have you seen it where you are? (I bought it from the market in Jean d'Angeley) The belt didn't even show any name of a manufacturer.

ETA: so right about cats (I lost one of my dogs in 2006 and the other one last year - can't have a dog now as I am working full time). Piccie of my puddy cat in my DIARY

  • welcome to mummyof twins this is a lovely friendly thread.

socky thats good that the GP is going to see you regulary and has signed you off - maybe a new medication is whats needed - its just such a pain getting off one and waitnig for the new one to take effect! I hope your friend has luck on your behalf - a fresh start would be brilliant - will keep hoping for you!

    hugs for the tooth!!!

Marru - I haven't seen any yarn called Lola here, but Roamin may have done; she lives in France, too! I did find this when I googled http://www.schaeferyarn.com/yrn_lola.html You could try emailing them. It's a beautiful yarn, too! If you post a photo of your scarf, I might be able to trace the wool that way.

Shaz - that sounds pretty positive to me, so I shall keep my fingers crossed for you.
