Pippa thank you so much for cat blanket - arrived today (it was at post office a few days waiting for me to collect)! Will hunt out the ladies number and deliver as now have a bagfull! hurrah!
Just back from vet who confirms that Shiomi is indeed a girl (whew...had no idea what to call a boy!) and is fit and healthy plus they now do a deal where you get all injections etc for 75 so thats good. House now emptied of stuff so later will hoover, change sheets and have a blissful soak with cleanliness surrounding me! Might even do a face pack! Also going to book a massage for Sat as ribs feeling less tender and she can have a good old dig at those nasty knots! Off to Ikea to get storage and baby cuddles.Nerd no 109 Long haulers supporters DFW #1! Even in the darkest moments, love and hope are always possible.0 -
Hello all - Im creeping in as I feel very guilty for not being with you for so long and Im so sorry Im not going to mention everybody Ive lurked for a week or so now have not been feeling particularly great - I went for a ladies investigation yesterday and whilst I managed (just!) to get there it could not go ahead so I now have to wait another month(ish) for consultant to come back to surgery again - so thats all thats been on my mind really
I will just say how worried Ive been about you all - you have all had your fair share of trials and saddness and illness and although Im not mentioning you all (i will be here till christmas the way I waffle) I will just say
Mrs M - my thoughts and love go out to those babies and hope they are gaining strength daily xxx
A big warm welcome to our newbies - we grow on a daily basis which is wonderful
Ive contacted the Soup Kitchen at Northampton and have been waiting for them to get back to me as to when we can do a collection of the Homeless Hats I made - a couple of christmas presents have been made - but I have completely lost my way with the charity knitting and have been feeling very guilty about this
Anyway the weather is lovely and after all the worry I did enjoy (ish!!! a big ish) being out with DOH yesterday and we did go for a little walk in the sun when we got back
Sock-knitter and Roamin - I have pm'd you both
Anyway my thoughts as always are with you all - hugs and love j xxxxDebt Diary: Im not going to be an Ostrich anymore -LBM - 16/1/12 /0 -
COOOOEEEEEEE.................smeee.......well, the pickle has sort of gone and left me now...wish it had been the kind you make and eat. Was having a salad for luncheon and thought I had chewed a stone..........oh you know where this is going - BAD NEWS it was half of a bottom molar - GOOD NEWS - I didn't swallow it!..............BAD NEWS.....went to brush my teeth for further investigation - lost even more of the tooth AND a bit of filling. GOOD NEWS - VET sorry that should read DENTIST but believe me I have more faith in my veterinary than I do in some of the medics I have come across here..........saw me yesterday afternoon. I was so convinced that it would end up an extraction made DH drive me there ............GOOD NEWS.......its to be filled......well he did say he would crown it but when he actually got around to having a proper lookie see - its viable. MORE GOOD NEWS....temporary filling in it.........bad news - why is it when you have a bit of a "something out of place there" your tongue always seem to wander to that bit? Most of last night tossing around in the bed trying to convince myself to stop poking said tongue into the bit he filled. If I keep this filling for the week it will be a minor miracle. He will see me again next Tuesday for the proper job. It's never boring at my place.
lovely to see F1 back in the fold - you hang on in there girl, started Mrs Coggins yet? ISOM can I come along for that massage with you? Chalky - can you at some stage today get out of the PJ'S it really isn't a good look if anyone comes to the door! Marru - think the jumper should be donated where it will be appreciated - sod the ex! I am pants at the hand knitting so won't even put my name last on the list to finish it for you. My crochet blanket project is moving along SLOWLY, but then there is no rush. Think I am still stuck in the snowpeeps mode so will just continue with that till I am so fed up with them, I will make something else......ideas please for easy projects that will keep my interest for no longer than the attention span of a goldfish and preferably not be so addictive that I continue to do them on and on and on and on add infinite um. Off to see what other damage I can do.........well if you haven't a crises in your life, it just ain't worth getting out of bed for! Later lovelies, cuddles and love to you all

Hi everyone from a very warm and sunny corner of France!
F1 - good to hear from you but I'm sorry you've not been feeling too great. Hope things improve for you very soon.
Mrs Moneypenny - thinking about those little babies.
Jean - hope the temporary filling stays in until next week! My dentist here is very nice but they don't go in for regular check-ups here, do they? It seems you only go when you have a problem - very strange. If you find your tongue getting sore (which it probably will because, as you have found out, your tongue can't resist fiddling with something that's not quite right in your mouth!), try rinsing with water with half a spoonful of baking powder mixed into it. It should ease the soreness.
ISOM - I wonder what you'd have named the kitten if it had been a boy?!
Chalky - the hat will fit someone, just not the 'someone' for which it was intended!
Marru - I think cats make the best pets because, as you say, they don't need any special faffing about; they're quiet, don't jump up on you with wet feet when it's been raining, don't need walks, are cheaper to look after, and are very relaxing to be with - well, once they've grown up, that is!
Well, I've been wasting my precious time here because my latest bill from France Telecom has arrived and it's almost twice what it usually is, but can I get through to the helpline to query it? No; they say they're very busy but don't even give you the option to hang on, so I'm getting crosser by the minute. As with all things here, I'll end up paying the bill then having to claim a refund.
Oh, well, I'm off for another cuppa.

May I join the KYSTGYSES please?
I'm not very good but I can crochet a mean square! When we were younger our Nana and Granny taught us how to crochet and we spent many a weekend crocheting squares for our Church to send off to Africa and I'd like to start doing that again and hopefully get better and start to crochet more than just squares in the future.Norn Iron Club: Member 455

MummyofTwins - of course you can join us, and you'll receive a warm welcome from all the lovely ladies on here. Here's a link http://forums.moneysavingexpert.com/showpost.php?p=39210432&postcount=1885 to a previous post on the thread that explains what we do in more detail. I hope you find it interesting and that you enjoy it here!
Shaz - fingers well and truly crossed that things work out for you, with the ESA and with being able to move somewhere that will give you a brand new start.
I finally got through to France Telecom and, as I thought, they had made a mistake on my bill and, as I predicted, I have to pay the bill they've sent me, and they'll credit the next one - and I shall make sure they do! Needless to say, they didn't apologise for the mistake - no-one here ever says sorry, even though there's a word for it in French!
