Mrs Moneypenny - my thoughts are with those little babies and their parents. I'm so glad your PC is now behaving itself; as you say, it's such a shame that some people have nothing much going on in their lives, so they create chaos in other people's with their hacking and scamming.

I'm still trying to get ready to go out shopping and I'm just about ready to go! I think I subconsciously put it off because I just don't like shopping!

  • Evening all!
Socky sorry to hear things rough again; I have some thoughts and am here if you want to chat via pm.or happy to ring if you want a phone natter.Meanwhile stay strong! No hurting yourself please and remember that alcohol makes you feel worse! I still think you should get a cat!! Shiomi has been an absolute delight and had me giggling away and gives unconditional love. Unfortunately she has the ability to produce farts of the silent but deadly variety and isoke is still scared of her and runs as soon as she sees her!! I always thought Isoke was tiny but is giganic looking now! Anyway back to the original point...if you got an older cat their personalities are known plus they are past the litter training, playful stage; even better they dont need much looking after and are less of a faff than a dog...biased me but then id have one of each if I could and would have loved to have been on the arc!!
Mrs M..yay a week old!! Thats got to be a good thing!
Chalky dont worry you cant keep up all the time!
Jean hope you got out of the picke!!
Miol not long till home time!
Psso i love it when the leaves fall ~ reminds me of renewal and that it will soon be time to hunker in for winter! I dont like this bit though as cant tell what to wear on an almost daily basis!! Hows the munchkin?!
Well today has been tidy day #2 and stuff picked up for my friend to do a car boot so have an almost new kitchen, a cupboard that doesent fall on you when you open it and some clean surfaces! Alas my friends I have decluttered wool also...there was too much of it and alot of it very fine and I would never use it so off to a good cause it went! I now have a manageable ikea bag full! Much less overwhelming! I also have a large ammt of fabric and raw wool for spinning!! oops! Off to ikea tom to get some storage and have lunch with friend...will even venture out of the house!!

Good evening to one and all and lots of love tucked in!
Lots of gentle thoughts to all those with their hands overflowing!! Hope each day is bringing " a light at the end of your tunnel"----especially Pippa,Mrs M,Seakay,May,Mrs Mw, Jean and anyone else in need of a positive vibe!

Well I have discovered the answer to a stress free life as far as your house is concerned is -- just pack at least a half of your house up!! It seems so tidy and organised. I am resolutely keeping my woolly stash intact beside my chair as still have various Ch******* projects on the go!

Glad you have found a lovely home for some lonely squares -- at the

Isom -- so glad your cats make you so happy!
Shaz -- Glad you sound a bit calmer
Marru --- I am so sorry I did not welcome you properly yesterday -- Hope you pop in often and a special hi to all our other new friends!

DSIL has been for a meal and a catch up this evening -- Do you remember all that time ago when she brought all the lovely knitted goodies out to the orphanage in Spain-- She still talks about it!!That little baby must be quite grown up now-- I hope he is settled in a happy, noisy Spanish home.

Well the wooden hill to Bedfordshire is beckoning so I must go!

Forgot to tell you all one piece of good news DD1 got engaged on Saturday evening but wedding not planned for a while so have plenty of time to sort out some crafty bits and pieces!!

Oh I think I love you!! So agree with the cat. I got lovely little fluffy cat from the rescue in June and she has made my life definitely better. Especially the lovely purring and cuddles in the mornings when I am waking up. Can't really wake up grumpy.

    Hello!!! First blanket almost finished.

Can someone please tell me what emergency squares are?

I almost finished a jumper to now ex, had only half a sleeve to do when I left him. I am thinking of a) donating it to knitting group to finish and then do what they please with it b) unravel it and make it into something else (It has at the back Old English Sheepdog from the back and at the front Old English Seepdog from the front - my own design and far from professional :o)

Cats are healing! In my own experience when I got Isoke (whose nose is firmly out of joint) I was at my lowest ever and she gave so much love & pleasure...I always feel so sorry for people who dont like cats!
Re emergency squares they are 4' ones and go to projects within the group - so far socky has had a comfort blanket; Mrs Twins 4 to distribute to her older people and roaming has had a huggle blanket too..Squares are done in advance for when a need arises...
As for the jumper Loving hands will be able to give it a good home!
    http://www.lovinghands.org.uk/
Off to shower and get ready as baby cat needs to go to the vet to check how old she is and check she is indeed a she plus see when she can have her injections...then off for nice lunch with friend in ikea so some yummy cuddles from baby and new storage for me!
hugs for those that need them!

Well I have caught up with myself ---- phew!!!

We travel back to Spain on the 9th Oct -- Where has that summer time gone!!!!
And, what with that, specially making sure I have enough wool to take back, packing up the house for the work in January and also getting ready for Ch******* as we arrive back home on the 17th, Baby Gilberto's due date!! I have been rushing around like a mad thing so that everything is ready!

DOH has had to go to Dorset today so I have the whole day -- shall I stay in my P.J'S? So I can check lists and put final touches etc-- wonderful! I will not start anything new in the woolly area!!!!

I can not find the last list of the Kiss the Geezers gang but will put this one that I have written in my MSE notebook.. Please shout if I have left you off or you would like to join!

    PSSO
    Mrs Moneypenny
    Mioliere
    ISOM
    Shaz
    Puppet Lady
    Maytaurus
    Seakay
    Anankat
    Roamin
    F1
    Pippa
    Kinsey
    Tootifrooti

In case anyone wants to join it is quite simple-- I hope!!!
The members have sets of 4 six inch squares completed and tucked away. These squares are easier to work with i.e in placing within the blankets if they are either the same colour or at least shade.
Acrylic yarn makes for easy washing and car.
Anyone can suggest a project that would benefit a blanket on this thread and if it is one that you feel you would like to support you send your squares to the person who made the suggestion. Then a blanket is sewn together and sent off.

ISOM is right so much good has been achieved already but even more than she said since we started the KYSTGYSES ( Knit your square to give your share Emergency squares AKA Kisss the Geezers squares!)
    1 lappy to Shaz
    1 Lappy to Roamin
    4 Lappys to Mrs Twins

I am quite happy to start operation Stitch Up next January as we will be living with DMIL whilst our building work is going on and that will be a good project for me but if anybody else wants to " shout" before then I am quite happy to join in and of course support the cause.

Anyone is welcome to join and we would love to have new members joining our happy gang!

Well I must get on but send special gentle thoughts to all ---
Missing some of our lovely friends-- Kinsey, Pfungi, PTB, Seakay,Ginnyknit,Trifles,Happy Crafter, Old Tractor, Momma Bear, Marbella and where is Dpixie?

Lots of special love to Pippa and Doh, Mrs Moneypenny and those dear little babies, Mrs Mw and anyone else feeling a little pants!
Try and do a good deed every day.
