shiomi looks a real sweetie, were having problems with the cat over the road, since roger died it keeps coming in our house and making itself at home. ive had to turf it out a few ties and stopped putting food out for the hedgehogs as it seemed it be encouraging. its a lveoly cat but i dont really want to be the cause of it leaving home and deciding the grass is greener our side of the street.
knitted a little cardi fro one of the twins over the weekend and am back working on second blanket, twins still fighting and mum has been sent home which is incredibly hard for her but must mean twins are doing alright (i hope)
hugs to allSPC~12 ot 124

socky well done for managing even a little knitting - you will soon catch up and everything crossed for you with the flats.
ISOM awh Shiomi is soooooooooooo seriously cute - i hope they soon make pals - its not good news about your back but it does mean you have another week to help get little puddy settled in:D:D:D
ok I dont know why i didnt think of asking before. MY friends little grandson has cold hands in the night so I was going to try and knit him fingerless gloves as he must be able to feel his blankie - any idea where i could get a toddler's pattern - he is only 8 months so I am guessing I will have to change the needle size to get them smaller?? Am I thinking right? We hav tried to cut a pair of mitts and hem them but it keeps unravelling.
any ideas would be very helpful
will be trying to keep up with my hooking or knitting later

i knitted my son a pair of wristwarmers by just casting on enough stitches to fold around his palm and knitted a piece in k3 purl3 rib till it was long enough then cast off when you sew the seam up just leave a gap big enough for the thumb to poke through made the hole high enough up that the knitting covered down to the knuckles. will that do till a better 'real' pattern comes along?
DH bought my christmas pressie at the weekend- a set of the bamboo needles and two lovely balls of wool from aldi
sorry no update from me this weekSPC~12 ot 124

may find some here too!
Have gone back to cat basics and shut the door so cats separated and will try gradually; Shiomi just been flead and wormed (tab almost as big as her lol!) and has actually purred for the first time; most of the day was spent under the sofa and eventually had to get a neighbor to come help get her out as was worried she was stuck as had been quiet for hours!Nerd no 109 Long haulers supporters DFW #1! had daniel come and visit tonight, which was nice, took him for some shopping also, good job i did, when we got back to his flat, his fridge was empty except a bottle of pop, and some butter,
daniel asked about jack the puppy, and i told him i rehomed him, he wasnt bothered as i thought he would be, me on the other hand was in tears, miss that little puppy so much, but deep down i know it wasnt the right time for me,

had a major catastrophe last night youngest ds was on puter when ie suddenly shut down it came back saying it had closed unexpectedly so did he want to restore last session he clicked yes and all hell broke lose multiple error and corrupted file messages came up and its completely wiped all programmes. ive only got on this morning because i foud an ie link in the desktop file everything seems to have gone everytime i click on a file it says (empty) i ran a virus check this morning with kapersky and that didnt come up with aything i think ive managed to stop the pop ups that kept telling me what files and harddrive were corrupted and offering to "click here to buy the cure" but dont really know what to do as im really not techy.
i looked at doing a system restore but think ill need one of the kids to do that as i cant find the same thing on our puter as it descrides in the book
if i dont get back you know why.
hope all are well

Hi everyone
Mrs Moneypenny - try posting about your PC on the techie board on here; they're really helpful and have come to my rescue on more than one occasion! Good luck with it!
Chalky - hope you had a good time in N Devon!
Shaz - I hope you soon feel less upset about losing Jack, but you definitely did the right thing. Have you looked at re-homing a dog from a dog's home? Do you have a branch of the Blue Cross near you? You could also ask at the vet's if they know of any dogs that need re-homing. That way you could take on a dog that is desperate for a loving home but comes without the teething problems, IYKWIM.
Tootifrooti - would love to see a photo of the handwarmers that you make for your grandson! I've made them before for grown-ups but have never considered making them for children, so that's given me a good idea for C*******s (now sure if I should say the whole word just yet, but I've been working on it for a while now!).
Anyway, I've collected all the figures for the update but have just been asked to submit some online work for 'midday' which, by French time, gives me just over an hour, so I'll do that first then the update.
