Hi all. I've just completed the update, which you can find by clicking into my name at the side of this post, then going to my 'homepage'. Please, please, please let me know if there are any mistakes! Thanks for all your totals!

Well, having tripped up some steps and thrown my last cup of coffee all over the hall floor (and had to scrub the grouting between the tiles because I drink my coffee very strong and black, which didn't mix too well with pale grey grout!) I have now put the kettle back on for another one!

    See you later.

Hi Tootifrooti - don't worry, it all takes a bit of getting used to! You're exactly right to post totals in red to make it easier for me to find. When I do the update each week, I try and make sure I do it on a Monday, and I take the totals that have been posted up to midnight the day before. We have a great spreadsheet that Roamin in the Gloamin devised for us, which is lovely to use, but I must confess to not always being able to do the update on the Monday of each week, but that's the intention!

I shall add your four Kiss the Geezers squares now, so that you know they've been counted on the current update!

Tootifrooti - if you check now, you'll see (hopefully!) that I've just added your squares.

Hi Tootifrooti - it's very good to see the totals mount up, isn't it? And that spreadsheet is only for this year; we've been going for almost four years now! Just think how many good causes have benefited! Please don't put yourself under any pressure to get loads of things done. We all have different commitments, and some have more spare time than others, so I always stress that just one square or little baby hat or something like that, is just as valuable and important as a hundred!

Hope everyone is having a good day. It's really hot here today with more to come for the rest of the week; I've heard it's the same in the UK so I hope you are all having good weather!

  • kathy, hope you didnt hurt yourself falling upstairs
found out a few things about daniel, that i cannot put on here, but am devastated, by the way both sons are acting, and the things they are doing, and how they are lying and using me to get more cash, when i hardly have any myself these days
even less so since i'm ending my claim for IS and carers allowance,
dont know if it will be esa or jsa, am so confused, my head is hurting, am upset over sons, and just wish i could run away from it all

Oh, Shaz; no, I didn't hurt myself, thanks, just felt a bit daft! I'm so sorry that things just don't seem to be getting any better for you these days. I honestly think the time has come for you to put yourself well and truly first. First of all, phone the benefits people to find out what you are entitled to - worrying about money is the last thing you want right now. Then don't let the boys bamboozle you for more money; stress on them that you can hardly afford to keep yourself right now, that they need to be responsible for themselves and, hard as it will be to say it, tell them that they are only welcome if they don't expect anything from you. Do you still see the friend who was helping you a couple of months ago? Perhaps get in touch with her for some moral support. If you are on good terms with your doctor, perhpas he can point you in the right direction for a support group of some kind. I wish I could come up with something more constructive; all I can do is send you a big hug full of positive vibes, and hope things work out - you certainly deserve some happiness.
