Introducing "Shiomi" - Japanise name meaning "beautiful tide" who is the latest (and last) addition to the family. The idea being that she will keep Isoke company at Christmas (plus is exceptionally cute) but so far Isoke has been terrified of her and is sitting on top of the cupboard where she cant be reached so am hoping that will change. Alas have work tomorrow but may try and work from home and take some toil as she will need a trip to the vets. They said she was socialised (which i doubt as she is very timid), wormed (doubt it as has large tum which usually a sign that they have worms) but thankfully is litter trained and eating cat food! Also spotted a flea but will let vet decide best treatment as not sure how old she is!
Tooti those nice wide isles make lidl and aldi a must for the discerning wheelchair user!
socky Im terrible for mags but not buying them as they just sit there...
no wooly or any stuff done here as bust settling madam and trying to appease older madam...alas work tom
Back is here and there tbh...quite painful and will need another trip to ostepath before long as feels like bone rubbing on bone which is v ouch!
Off to watch rest of downton..hugs for those that need them; seakwy youll have to come and meet munchkin...:)Nerd no 109 Long haulers supporters DFW #1! Even in the darkest moments, love and hope are always possible.0 -

Hi
Lovely Kitty :-) What a sweet little face awwww.
Just finished yet another pair of fingerless gloves with a mitt flap, these were for my daughter who wants another pair in another colour as well lol. I suppose being such a big family, my charity knits start at home hee hee !!!!!!!!!!
Next month, I've actually got organised a once a month, knit and craft evening at a friends house. Hoping it will take on. Might just be my friend and I for a while, but hey, no worries. Should be fun :-)
Have a blessed and prosperous day. Hugs to all in need ((((hugs)))) Love you all.
xA work in progress0 -
Hope the charity group goes well Salome!
Socky not long now till the cast is off...
Have been signed off for a week as still unable to sleep again last night plus new tabs just didnt feel right so have had a juggle and he thinks all should be well; although he said it can take 6 weeks for ribs to heal...just going to potter and sleep for rest of the day...:)
Hope people are ok.Nerd no 109 Long haulers supporters DFW #1! Even in the darkest moments, love and hope are always possible.0 -
isom, hope you manage to get some sleep today, its awful been so tired. talking of juggling tablets, my gp rang me this morning, to stop taking one of my meds, apparently it can cause heart attacks, been on it since 2005:(, instead the new one only causes stomach ulcers, so he is also putting me on another med to prevent this.
hope new kitten has settled well
two weeks today til cast is taken off and i cant wait.
have applied for another two flats, fingers crossed i get lucky this time
hugs

Hi everyone
ISOM - Shiomiu is gorgeous! Isoke will soon get used to her; years ago we introduced a new kitten (Trevor) to our established resident (Dennis), and they didn't like each other for about three days, then I found them both curled up in each other's arms in my laundry basket, and they were the best of friends until poor old Dennis went to cat heaven! They will be great company for each other; just give it time.
Thanks for the lovely totals - I shall add them to the update later on. I'm much more organised this week, so from now on the updates should be regular again.
My nearest Aldi is about an hour away in a place where I can't combine it with another errand to justify the time and petrol to get there! I shall content myself with getting excited about my trip back to the UK (just weeks away, hopefully) and a visit to my favourite wool shop. It's daft, I know, but my heart skips a beat when I think of it!
I'm doing a Mrs Twins square which I hope to have finished later on today. I've done four IS hats, but that's about it for this week. Now that I'm more organised, I should be able to spend more time in the afternoons crocheting. By the time we've eaten and cleared up dinner in the evenings, I sit down and just doze off. I struggled to stay awake last night and missed the last five minutes of Downton Abbey, as did DH, so neither of us know what happened. Still, we can catch up next week, hopefully.
Anyway, my oven is bleeping; time to take the bread out.
Have a good day, everyone.
