Hi everyone. I'm taking a break from filing; it's not just ordinary filing, though. I decided to go through the whole filing cabinet (now, why did I do that? It's only made the job seem even more of a chore!). Anyway, some files are full of rubbish so I shall sort one file a day, leaving in only what's truly relevant. Moving house and moving country just makes for more paperwork, so I know a lot of it can be discarded. I collect even more here these days; I dread to think how many trees France gets through; they just love their bits of paper!
Anyway, even more paperwork yesterday when I visited the insurance company having been fobbed off by them when I tried to make a claim for lightning damage. I had definitely been fobbed off, too. The new lady there (British, so really efficient!), has put the claim through - I won't get as much as I thought I would because of the type of policy (the last agent should have reviewed it regularly but chose not to), but I know I'll get something, plus I've upgraded the policy to give me better cover.
Well, the update will get done this afternoon, fingers crossed, once I've nipped out to the post office.
DH is out quoting on job right now, but he's taken the car because a friend has borrowed his van, so I'm without transport at the moment.
Chalky -the blankets are lovely. How on earth do you find the time to be so productive?! Love that link you put on FB, by the way!
Jean - hope you are pacing yourself and not running at full pelt!
Pippa - hope your OH is doing well, and that your wrist is feeling better.
Shaz - hope things are going well for you today.
Tootifrooti - you must be glad to be back at home.
ISOM - hope you are feeling less sore these days.
My poor mum still hasn't really got over the shock of the cataract op; I spoke to her last night and she said she wishes she could turn the clock back and not have gone through all the trauma of the op, because she doesn't feel it's made any difference, and they didn't tell her really what to expect, so we have no idea how long it's supposed to take to be able to see results. I phone her every day expecting to hear her say that she can see really well, so it's very disappointing. Perhaps we are both being too impatient? I don't know.
Anyway, I'm off to put the kettle on and will call back later.
I have about twelve' kiss the geezers' squares in my batch, because I finally got round to finishing them! At least they'll be ready for the next shout!
