  • Love the sheepies and the wee Welsh shepherdess so cute

ISOM-MRS MONEYPENNY-SOCK KNITTER..............have got 20 snowpeeps knitted for each of you and will get them away this week. Link below for how I sew them up, stuff them and give them features, sorry they are arriving FLAT PACK, being a cannie Scot I am going for the cheapest of the postal options! (tongue in cheek). If you get stuck or the link won't work let me know I will see if I can make the instructions easier - I only say this because my Dear Wee Sister said they were a mare to do......she is more a high maintenance shopaholic rather than the crafty dear I would like her to be - so I ended up with the whole deal!

You all keep your heads down - I hear its very windy in the UK, so be safe, love and squishy cuddles to you all

anakat - what a lovely flock xx

If anyone watches tonight first episode new series of Doc Martin - and on Sunday night first episode new series of Downton Abbey - I think both are ITV1 - not sure

Well first lacey glove and second one started - present for my neighbour's birthday on Friday and I realised whilst doing my count-up - my 40 hats are finished! whoop whoop - some of them i didnt think were big enough but on re-looking at them a couple were still ok - so have contacted the soup kitchen and await their reply - I think I might add a photo at some stage to show you.

Got to "push" DS into the bath - you know how it is .......:rotfl:
love and hugs to all and special thoughts to the poorlies and those struggling at the moment xxxxx

very windy here, in my corner of yorkshire, trees have been dlown down, some of fence panels blown out too, heard its much worse at the coast, hope nobody gets hurt.
this week on my council websssite, there are three 2 bedroom flats that i am thinking of applying for.
1 is up road from my parents, and near my friends, plenty parking space, hasnt been modernised yet, so will have mess to put up wih when it gets done
2 is 3 miles away, modernised, quiet rural area, but too far from anywhere if i didnt have car
3 is near town centre, but very limited parking
unsure which as the mo to put as my first choice, and no guarantee of getting any, but at least i'm in as good a position if not better mthan most on list, having a 3 bed house to give up
    hugs all

    Hello one and all xx
I have not read back but promise to do so ASAP--- So in the absence of knowing everything but as usual actually knowing very little !!! The gentlest, sweetest, loveliest, loving thoughts to one and all.

Well the weekend with friends was great but the whole purpose of the "jolly" was to see Josh Groban in the Proms in the park-- a long way from darkest Devon. And then he had TONSILITIS!!!!!!! AND DID NOT APPEAR!!!!

Now back home and have spent the whole day kissing the Geezers!!! Pictures soon and then 4 blankets will be on their way to a secret destination which will soon be revealed!!!!!!

I am doing the last border so must get on -- ISOM thank you so much for sending on the spare squares after completing Shaz's cuddly lappy -- a lifesaver!! xx
Try and do a good deed every day.

Full time mum - I'd love that recipe, please, as long as you can find it easily!

Jean - I shall give your recipe a go, too. It sounds quite low-fuss! I just have to get dates, which I need for making date and walnut loaf. I think I'm going to devote a whole day this week (if I can find one!) to making foodie things. I just hate to waste anything, so it's worth putting a day aside.

Shaz - I hope you find something you can bid for successfully. It would be good to have a new home as a new start in your life. Hope the wrist is healing nicely?

F1 - must say I love Doc Martin and I also enjoyed the first series of Downton Abbey but I hadn't realised the new one was starting so soon, so thanks for telling us!

Kinsey - the liqueur is really delicious, almost like Bailey's! Very moreish!

Pippa - thanks for the update.

I've had a lot of paperwork today and thought I'd finished it all but now I have to sort out an insurance claim for all the things we lost when the lightning bolt hit the house. It turns out that the insurance company had given us 'duff' information (that we had to replace new all the items, then they would work out what to pay us after deducting €200 excess and 10% per year of age for each item). We've now been told that that is wrong, so I have to compile a list to take to them tomorrow, along with prices for replacements. The chap who misled us has now left!

Anyway, hope you all have a good evening.

    KathyXX
