Socky please dont turn to the bottle as doesent help - apart from fact it makes you feel rubbish it is also a depressant so makes you even more miserable than you were when you started. Both boys will probably have to learn the hard way but the sooner you let them learn the sooner they will get it....big hugs for you me lovely!
Roaming PLEASE dont overdo it...Im sure its frustrating but you need to have some rest amongst the busyness! Esp having had munchkins etc to wear you out!
Tooti hope that youve enjoyed the fish n chips!
Chalky hope youve not drowned under chutney!
Mrs M are you pretty much back to normal now?

F1 can you tell me when the grand prix are on.....never get hold of DS if there is motors on TV or the qualifying or for that matter a tyre on a programme - he is glued to it!
ISOM - hope the car comes back all fixed soon, also your bumps fixed and ready for you to tackle the world again.......shame about the freezer - mine has an alarm - we get so many power cuts and I then have to run around like a wee chook without a head getting the generator going....fine if we have remembered to keep fuel for it......NOT FINE if I forget that one! Is it covered on your house contents insurance????
OK off I am watching Jayne Ayre on telly.........not the new one you will be seeing. Same great story tho' think I will download the book onto the lapdog and read it all over again.

    Hi everyone.

NIC73 - of course you can join us; we'd love to have you here, and you'll find a warm welcome from everyone. Here's a link to an earlier post which explains exactly what we do http://forums.moneysavingexpert.com/showpost.php?p=39210432&postcount=1885 If you have any questions, ask away - we are a very helpful bunch! I hope you enjoy it here!

PSSO - I DID save you some cake but, in true MSE style, I had to eat it because I wanted to make sure it still tasted good - and you'll be thrilled to know that it did! The walnuts are lovely but I will have to plan a shelling session; there are so many of them. The friends who gave them to us still have loads on their trees, and they are desperate not to waste any. I daren't go round there for a while in case they give me more; they've already threatened to post some into my mailbox!

I'll catch up with you all later once I've caught up with the thread.

    KathyXX

Welcome NIC73 emergency squares are a great way to start and build up your confidence on the knitting front
F1- THANK YOU, I will try and get hold of him between his usual supermarket run this am and the start of the race........I have a sneaky feeling he pulls the plug on the phones! I suppose he is entitled to as he works long and hard all week.
Mioliere I am fed up with TOMATOES, APPLES and WALNUTS I will no sooner finish with them and it will be the chestnuts.............its all go isn't it!
More snowpeeps for today I think as the weather is rotten again. I did take down the voilles yesterday and put up all the heavy winter curtains with the assistance of DH I hasten to add, so still poodling along doing little bits. Ye all have a great day, ye hear! I might get a count up of whats sitting in the finished bag and post it up later will see how it pans out.

Jean - we made really good use of the peaches, which produced a bumper crop this year. We gave loads away to anyone who came near the house, including the postman and the chap who strims the verges in the commune. They're both hiding from us now! The walnuts are amazing; do you know how long they keep in their shells? I was given so many and I can't give them away fast enough. I also have loads of apples wrapped in newspaper in one of the barns - enough to keep us going all winter. If I had the time I'd make some chutney, but I just don't seem to get a minute to spare these days! Oh, and I must do something with the beetroots I was given by one of the neighbours. I think I'll try and devote a day to preserving things this week - did you see those pigs fly past?!
