OK, I`m showing off now. The brown/cream/coffee blanket was entered in the local show and won first prize for a crocheted article and the dinosaur was second in the knitted toy class. I was chuffed to bits and to crown it all DD won a third place for her cheese scones !!

Blanket no.3 is on the hook now, shades of mauve/lilac this time, the first one took a wee while to finish but now I`ve got the hang of it, it`s slightly addictive.

sock knitter sending you loads of love hugs and strength to get you through this terrible time - I agree that cutting ties with them for a while will be a good idea even if its a hard decision to make. can you paint or ever wanted to try - you only need one hand! or doodle or you could maybe do a collage or mosaic type picture?

Oh Shaz -- tough love I think and very gentle love towards yourself! You will always love your boys but you really are allowed to dislike them just for now! It is strange what we accept from our family and yet would consider such behaviour totally unreasonable from a friend!! Please give yourself a special hug from our blanket!

thanks everyone for your hugs and good wishes, lately there hasnt been a night when i havent snuggled up with the blanket you lovely girls made for me. and my teddy too, am i getting daft in my old age, dont answer that lol, teddy is a substitute for cuddles from sons
had a lovely phone call last night for a real life angel, somebody who has so much on her plate right now, yet took the time to give me a call, and made me feel better. :Aangel of the week award goes to our lovely dawn, thanks hun, your call meant so much, when i was feeling desperately low.

Hello all

Had a really busy day packing,washing,ironing,cooking and the hospital...and now I am doing dinner

We were 3 hours at the hospital but at last OH's mask has been made, he had another CT scan to pinpoint where the radiotherapy has to hit...appointments have been booked all 30 of them starting 19th September to 2nd November thats 6 weeks Monday to Friday each week...

We are going away for a few days tomorrow to Poole in Dorset, with DS1/DIL and DGD's we are really looking forward to it :j havent seen them for ages,

Have packed a woolly bag...well I can't go without any I would get serious withdrawl attacks :rotfl:

Off to dish up Dinner now, be good and those that should be taking it easy please do

This has to be quick I need to contact DS.........the news is good - need to see the surgeon in February 2012 and the oncologist in September 2012, so I am a really happy girlie tonight........thank you all for puting up with my misery and infrequent postings this last 4 months I promise to be perfect from now on......that big black could I had has now gone so perhaps I can get back into serious ROAMIN mode....................love and squishy cuddles to you all, catch up on postings tomorrow, proir to my Dear Wee Sister arriving for a holiday......Monsters didn't beat me and they are now back home with their mum.

:j Yippee fantastic news Jean, you`ll be able to really enjoy your sister`s visit now :j Just think....all that lovely squishy touchy feely woolliness coming your way in her motor :T watch you don`t get buried underneath it all.

Pippa enjoy your holiday. Good news about your DH getting his mask made. Radio appts are a pest but necessary. Friend had 5 min sessions every day for 8 weeks. Therapy was OK but all the travelling to and fro was exhausting for her.

Socky - hang on in there. Peace will be yours one day.

Kathy - hope everything went well for Mum.

Chalky - the dinosaur was actually done for another grandson who is dino daft. Grandma only borrowed him for the weekend, he`s coming to reclaim him tomorrow I believe.

Off to get busy with the hooky again with a cuppa close by.
